Well I just beat ME1 at level 45, starting my NG+. Damn, that was EPIC. In my opinion, I had more fun than the ME2 story.

Now, I can guarantee this has been discussed before, but with recent developments, I figured why not test the waters once more.

So ME1->ME2, we get a whole new Tali model with a friggin spectacular new Tali outift (<3*requisite drooling*<3). And we know that, with a few exceptions, ME3 is going to basically be built directly off of the structure of ME2. So my query is, do you think we'll get any new outifts for Tali in ME3, or are we talking ME2 with a new story and some gameplay updates? Is Bioware brave enough to try their hand at something new, or are they afraid they may not reach the same level of face-melting dat-(fill-in-the-blank)-ness that they've already achieved?

I'm thinking, at the absolute least, we'll see some kind of new texture, a new loyalty outfit or something of that sort, if not something new all-together.

Opinions? Suggestions? Ideas?

I have iffy feelings about this. Bioware should/would only refit the characters' outfits if there was a logical reason to do so. ie. ship blows up, shep dead for another 2 years only to be revived again.

So I'm hoping that unlike 2, ME3 picks up RIGHT where ME2 left off, no ifs ands or buts. Therefore, I doubt we'll be seeing many new outfits, unless it is a customizable option, which is also certainly a possibility. But my personal opinion is that I want to see her in some sort of combat armor. I feel like she could look totally badass in it. I'm not talking about a mech, more like advanced armor plating and shielding. Oh and some sort of friggin cover for that facemask of hers. Sort of like that advanced optical equipment that Shep can buy as a helmet.

Does BW not realize that one well place sniper shot to the face and logically Tali's history? Well I guess not since they have Miranda dress up in spandex...

I think it depends on how much time has passed between ME2 and ME3, which is unknown at the moment. If it's little, I don't think we will see any new major updates in character outfits and weapons. If it's quite some time, then there could be some new stuff in it.



I'm hoping we will get new stuff regardless of the situation.

I designed Tali a cloak type outfit, I'd like to see something like that... (obviously).

I'm hoping for the return of inventory managing of yourself and squad members, as well as the return of weapon mods, armor mods, omni-tool upgrades, and biotic amps. In this case, during ME1, I outfitted Tali with Phoenix armor. She looked so cute in white and pink. lol

Anyways, Mass Effect 3: Tali Better be in it.

Yeah. Bad things will happen if she's not in it I think. With her fan base essentially comprising of the majority of ME fans, I think they'll have to include her, just like every other character.



I just think its silly to dedicate a whole game to the characters, then throw them away for the big battle with the Reapers. It just doesn't make sense.



But I think we can rest easy, because she'll probably play a major roll.

And yes, I agree--it does seem rather foolish to focus an entire game on characters only to have ANY of them not play a major role in the next game, Tali especially. 'Sides, WE NEED TO SEE HER FACE.

Guys we need to talk about Tali strictly. So anyway... maybe there will be specific upgrades for each squad member similar to that of ME1 as stated above. It would be cool if Tali could get some freaking armor. I seriously want to enforce that point. Bioware's logical compass has gone haywire I think (Miranda, SAMARA loool, Tali's plastic visor)

What would be worse: never seeing her face or being shown another quarian's face? Because I would think the latter would give people a good idea of what a quarian face should look like while allowing them freedom to alter it to fit their own image of Tali better. But on the other hand, I can see fans of Tali finding it to be a slap in the face if another quarian's face was revealed considering how important Tali had been to the storyline.

I personally think that someone's ability to imagine what she looks like is rather unimportant, imo. If they don't show her face, I'd rather it be for the theme of her romance being about looking past the physical, rather than so people can project whatever face they want on her.

Considering how much fanart is created focusing on Tali's face, it's obviously not unimportant to some fans. Maybe unimportant to you, though.

Some people simply want to know what the developers had in mind, as they've hinted they have a concept for the quarians already in mind, even knowing that could clash with whatever mental image they might have developed for the character. I suppose there are four camps: those that don't care, those that want to see her face whatever the image, those that want to see a quarian face whatever the image, and those who don't want to see a face at all.

Maybe they won't show her face at all, and just leave it to us to imagine. I suppose it would make sense after all, perhaps if they do show her face, it might not be what the fans expected, and BioWare would more than likely be upset.

I'm pretty sure if BioWare shows her face, majority of the people will be pleased. They have never disappointed us in characters looks wise imo.

This. A generic pretty girl face with some alien features, and 99% of Tali fans will be pleased.

If they don't show her face in ME3, it's going to be a huge let down.
