Yep, the wikia explains that. It's a reference to a Bladur's Gate 2 party member, Baervan Wildwanderer and another NPC named Minsc.



Looks like Shepard's space hamster is another reference to Minsc's miniature giant space hamster

But as for on-topic discussion. Has anyone else here ever worried about a cop out from BW in the form of killing off Tali due to her intimate encounter with Shepard? I dunno... It's just something I have been concerned with since I first played through Tali's sub-plot.

I don't think Bioware is crazy enough to do something like that. They would lose a LOT of support.

I would snap and go on a murder spree. Tali is one of my few reasons for living at the moment. Life would be depressing if she died.

Indeed. Tali is the one thing keeping Samuel Shepard from becoming a full fledged renegade. If he has to go ship to ship kidnapping the greatest minds the galaxy has to offer, forcing them to work on genetically strengthening the quarian immune system so Tali's people can have their home back as soon as possible... Then it will be done.

I've been worried about this too, as I'm sure all the fans are worried that their favorite squad members will become susceptible to the cameo curse, or get killed off. However, I have faith in BW's common sense. The fans of Tali are legion, the same goes for other icons like Garrus. Bioware has a huge fanbase, and most of it is centered around the fact that the fans love BW characters. Getting rid of Shepard's squad would be a huge mistake, and I agree that BW would loose huge amounts of support. 

I just can't see them being that stupid.

She was just a little sick after it happened and she seemed fine so no.

Ah yes... The cameo curse. I bet that pissed off many Ash/Kaiden fans in ME2... If there is any risk of a cop out, it would be that (since the former squad mate is still alive). It'd better not happen to Tali though or there will be some rage flying around... Of this I am certain. The collective fury of the Talimancers would throw the Earth out of orbit and cause the sun of every solar system to go nova. After that, countless black holes would spawn... Sucking all of creation into nothingness, leaving only blank whiteness.



In other words... Don't make Tali a cameo in ME3 Bioware... Don't do it.

Indeed... I never could understand why people could dislike Tali or Garrus. I myself feel that they have more personality than the human squadmates... ESPECIALLY in ME1, wow were Ash and Kaiden "meh" in that one. Then again this could just be because of my affinity for Tali and Garrus.

Hell... I've even heard people refer to Tali as bigoted. How that term applies to her, I doubt I will ever know. O_o
