I don't think it will be a case of a reunion, I think that ME3 will take place soon after ME2. If it takes place much later, then the reapers will have wiped out civilisation. Although I agree that they will show a lot of emotion, I think there is a higher level of trust with a romance with team dextro because they both need trust just for the relationship to have a chance.
Not that I'm criticising other LI's, but the romance between Tali and Shepard isn't a shallow one (well, not entirely) but it is based on an emotional level, rather than a physical level.

It's my hope that you and your LI from ME2 are together at the start of ME3. But I won't be crushed if it doesn't happen. I'd really miss Tali if she wasn't a full squad mate though. No sure how I'd feel about the game if she wasn't there.

I don't know about you guys, but I hope BioWare never takes off Tali's mask.

Being unable to see Tali's face is part of her appeal and mystique. Allowing us to see her face will just take away from that.

The only interupt that I feel obliged to do. I feel it necesary as I cannot stand by and watch Tali cry. It just isn't right. It would tear me apart inside. As for the hug. They both need one. Garrus and Tali both need a hug. The deaths, I have seen tem on youtube, but I have not got them in game, thankfully because if I did, I would just turn it off right there.

I love that Tali paragon interrupt.  Quarian hugs, up there with turian ones for sure.

I am curious to peek under the mask. I thought for sure I was going to see her face in ME2... but you know what happens. Seeing her face is going to complete the character for me and most likely Mr. Rune.

You know guys, it just struck me.

I still don't quite understand why I like Tali so much (and Liara, too, for that matter, but that's another story).

Okay, I know that she is dedicated to her people, remarkably loyal, has a good (but not oversized) sense of humor, intelligent, sweet, considerate, independent, (but not overly so), and yet, beyond these rather superficial observations, I still can't quite pinpoint why I like her.

But, nonetheless, I believe that the reason I like her so much is because it is difficult not to like her, particularly when surrounded by women like Jack and Miranda. Now, don't get me wrong, Jack and Miranda are great characters, but they don't come across as immediately likeable, while Tali is likeable from the start (and being a recurring character from ME1 does help).

So, in my attempt to explain my own views, it appears that the simplest answer may be it!
