Oh, no doubt. I didnt expect the book to in anyway focus on the character. However, Tali being part of the squad that saved the galaxy.. seems like it would likely be discussed somewhat in their society. What I mean is, im just surprised she wasnt even mentioned. Even by the human characters who evidently didnt know much about the Quarians and as such Tali probably would have been the only specific Quarian they would know about.NuclearBuddha wrote...
The way I see it as this: there are 17 million quarians in the Flotilla. That's like a major city. In a city, the mayor's daughter might be famous, but she's not going to be brought up in the course of the average criminal investigation or business deal or whatever, even if it's just idle chatter.Quole wrote...
Also, looking back, I find it kind of odd that Tali is not even mentioned in Ascension. Considering a large portion of it took place on the flotilla and Tali is likely one the most famous Quarians in recent history.
The novel wasn't about her. I didn't find the absence striking. (not to say that she wouldn't have been a welcome appearance in it. Heh.)
