I'm sorry if I didn't get everyone. I tried to add as many people as I could, but it just looked messy. :c
Sorry, and I hope you like it, guys.

Nice. Desktop worthy!

Okay, it's time for my anniversary
gift. I'm sad the the whole project is not ready, as I hoped, but here's
the preview of my first Mass Effect Fancomic, off course with Tali and
Shepard! First, two full pages:
That's how it should have been instead of Shep just exploring the crash site alone. To me it would been far more meaningful.

Hmm. I'll be looking forward to this.
Out of curiosity, you ever think of doing a collaboration work?
Hmm, never thought much about that, but why not? You have something in mind?
I've got a script for a comic I've been working on. It'd be a "oneshot," for lack of a better term, but may be a few pages long. It'd start out as a seemingly serious/dramatic story where Shepard, Garrus, and Jacob are trying to rescue Tali from Daro'Xen, but then it turns into the land of comedy as Jacob provides the distraction Garrus and Shepard need to take her down.
I call it "Improbable Situations With Improbable Solutions." Plural words in case I ever come up with another idea and do a sequel or companion piece. If you're interested I should warn that it may be a really long time before I finish the script. I have a horrible procrastination habit.
Hmm... so... Shep and Garrus rescuing Tali while Jacob does the quarian version of the priiiiize with Xen? Sounds more fitted for an humor comic. Sorry for the delayed answer too.

Agreed. It would also give us Garrus & Tali fans a nice way to get some new dialogue from them both.

Which is weird considering the whole point of the Pilgrimage is to turn everyone into a tough as nails badass and bring something valuable back. I would appreciate an Alistair esque hardening but maybe her loyalty mission already did that.
Too bad we didn't get a, "I used to be a young girl but now I'm a grown woman" type convo

Outta curiosity, though, you got a guess as to when we might see that comic of yours posted somewhere?

Does anyone think Tali is a bit too sugary sweet. I mean dear lord. Maybe it's Liz Sroka's voice acting. She does seem more matured in ME 2 but she might as well go SQUEE!!! every time she sees Shepard. Maybe that's the point. A young girl tossed into the world of adults

I think this is part of the appeal of her character. Tali isn't a tough-as-nails, no-nonsense, Lara-Croftish "tough chick" like Ashley, Jack, or Miranda. There are far too many of those sorts of women in video games these days, and we need more like Tali (or Alyx Vance from Half-Life 2, for another good example).
If you've ever played another BioWare RPG, you know that all of their love interests basically fall into the "Betty and Veronica" pattern. The "Betty" is sweet and wholesome, the "Veronica" is dark and dangerous. Tali is the Betty to the Veronicas Jack and Miranda, which means she's going to the sweet, good-natured one. It's all about catering to different player preferences.

She's hardly all sugar, though. She had a noticable renegade edge to her in ME1, and remains willing to challenge Shepard (and not back down) on things in ME2. Is she nicer (softer?) in general that some oft he other female leads? Sure. But that's hardly a mark against her.

As other have said, not everyone needs to be a hard as nails bad ass.
Miranda is cold and calculating.
Jack is angry and impulsive.
Tali is sweet and affectionate.
That said, I don't believe she is all sugar and sweetness. She is very adamant in her hatred for Cerberus, she doesn't take disrespect lightly: "What about the Quarian?" ,"My name is Tali!". She has the nerve to shout at an admiral and doesn't take any sass from Prazza either.
Let's not forget her argument with Legion either. Even if she is a LI of Shepard she will still challenge him over it.

The "sugar and sweetness" definition maybe can be applied to the romance... maybe... but surely not to her whole characterization. For example she's the character you save from troubles the higthest number of times but every time all seems to point that she was going down fighting... she trew grenades to the Saren's assassins, she runs for cover on Freedom's Progress only to aid the injured and the bunker on Haestrom is fullfilled of dead geths, but there are no quarian corpses in it, so she killed them. Then there are dialogues like "My name is Tali!" or "Shepard, I rembember to you that those people thinked that enslaving Thorian's Creepers and Rachins was a good idea." or "I'm Zorah, from the starship Neema. And you're an idiot.". It doesn't fit very well the definition of the sweet damsel in distress for me...

If there is one romance trope whose head I want to see slammed into the curb and stomped until nothing remains but little pieces of skull and brain matter, it's the "love at first hate" relationship, where two characters meet and spend most their time bickering and sniping at each other, then all of a sudden decide that they love each other. Tali's romance arc avoids that, which strikes me as being a far better foundation for a lasting relationship.
