Agreed. I've got nothing against Jack but esentially her romance is the story of a woman jumped in the main plot from the middle of nowhere, that after a free-of-implications sex time decides to believe that you care about her if you return for the round 2. She's not a bad character, but really... she needed desperately a better romance development. One more reason for playing as xenophile Shepard and 'mance quarian girls ^__^

I have to say, I wonder if your memory is dodgy or you simply haven't tried Jack-she shuts you down if you take her up on the first offer, you need to refuse it for her sto start actually trusting you. (Using sex as a weapon? good heavens, perish the thought! :P )

Anyways, on a more Tali-related note, saw a screenshot on Tuchanka a while ago of her with the new outfit, and are those spare heatsinks on her left forearm? It would be a nice touch if it was

I saw the all the other romances (so Miranda and Kelly too) on Youtube, so I guess that my memory did a little trick to me. By bad :P

I don't have a Twitter or Facebook account, so I didn't know.

Either do I, it was mentioned in a thread specifically about in-game footage of the new pack.

As for all this talk of "People don't see that Tali isn't a doormat, she can hold her own etc. etc." you have to bear in mind that haters will hate regardless, and people will see what they want to see.

Machine are us is totally right, those who don't like Tali will make assumptions just because they don't know their stuff. Haters just hate. I remember one person saying they hated Tali because she betrayed Shepard...

O_o - When did this happen? People can have their own opinions, but when they justify their hate for things that aren't right at all, that gets annoying.

O__O What??? When she betrayed Shep? You can esentially ruin her life and threaten the existence of her species and still she'll literally die for you... there's only one word for this kind of instances:

I agree. Some people just need to do research before making ridiculous claims. Tali is the least likely person to betray Shepard. Of course, there is also someone who said they hated Tali because it was unfair that onlt those that romanced her got to see her face??

No one ever got to see her face? (And this person was on about the gamer seeing her face rather than Shepard...)

I'm new to the forums, but an old hand when it comes to the franchise (that's another way of me saying, I haven't read all 329 pages of this thread, so forgive me if something like this has been mentioned already. Wouldn't be surprised that it has. The game's been out for a year).

The ME3 ending that would make me happiest would be to see Shepard and Tali on the Quarian homeworld (Tali suitless) as they share an embrace/tender moment during a sunset. That would make me all warm and fuzzy on the inside, heh.

I just really hope we get to see her face at some point during the third game.

Some people hate Tali because she's such a fangirl, yet she doesn't really do a lot of stuff that would constitute that label. She admires some of your actions from the previous game(whether you were a hero or a badass), but other than that, she doesn't act like a fangirl at all.

You're new? Welcome to the forums!

And pretty much everyone on this thread wants that ending on ME3.

Hey Link, Are you a Zelda fan by any chance ;)

Yeah, that is my favourite ending too. Find a homeworld for the quarians, see them happy and suitless, and then go to Palaven with Garrus.

Tali is badass. It isn't open for interpretation. Tali haters should recognise her awesomeness.

Well, some times people can be mistaked (see my previous, wrong, post about Jack's romance...) but you should be fair enough to admit when you're wrong. The tipical hater doesn't...

About Tali's face NOT seeyin it in ME2 was the best thing possible... BW teased a lot in the romance about the fact of seeying her face "under that damned helmet" that don't let us seeying how she really looks is one of the best proofs that she'll return in ME3. And even if her face will remain hidden honestly I don't care... the base of the whole romance is the fact that Shepard "saw" her and not a freaky walking suit, like most of the galaxy's people when thye wathches a quarian.

Really nice work Breakdown Boy, though I really got to know where you find PM for $18.50 last time I got the magazine it was only $9.99.

As for the Haters well, people just hate for no reason so they have to come up with something stupid or what ever first comes to their mind when they have to justify themselves.

...I don't.

That's way too sappy and cliche for my tastes, not to mention it'd have to time skip over half a century for Tali's immune system to adapt to Rannoch's atmosphere, as alluded to by the "60 years versus 600" line on the Alarei.

I'm pullin' for a happily ever after between the two, no doubt, but that's just too corny for me, and there's more to ME than just Shepard and his or her love interest.

That's one of my favourite things about Tali's romance (and it applies to Garrus too) is that it isn't just a shallow relationship. Shepard 'sees' her as a person and as a great person rather than a species encased in a suit. And the look on Shepard's face when he takes off the helmet explains it all, quarians are beautiful, I'm sure. Otherwise, Tali wouldn't have the confidence to 'pounce' on Shep. Posted Image

Her completely suitless without years of adaptations is quite unlikely to happen yes... but in general happy ending doesn't simply mean that they have to sit watching the sunset or so... there are many other possibilities, especially in a multi-choice contest like the ME's saga. Also the phrase "there is more than Shepard and his crew and LI in ME" is quite questionable... the best thing of the game are its characters... the story of ME is epic and good-written, but surely's not so original for me to be considered the thing I care most. And I was of this opinion since I played ME1, se before I become a "rabid Talimancer" :P

I wonder how the Tali romance arc will conclude, especially given BioWare's past efforts. In terms of the "Betty VS Veronica" archetypes, it seems that the Betty stands a better chance of having a happier ending than the Veronica. In BG2, for instance, players who romanced Aerie or Jaheira got a happy ending, while Viconia's was..less so. Same deal with Morrigan in DAO. Perhaps ME3 will end the same way, although I don't think it's fair to give some players a happy ending and not others, depending on their choice of live interest.

Oh, and on a side note, Zelda fans who love the character of Link should not read the story I'm working on...Viconia beating the crap out of him is probably the LEAST humilating that will happen to him.

I am indeed a HUGE Zelda fan. I had a conversation with a friend of mine where he listed all of the series' faults. I admitted that there were faults and that many of the games are "basically the same thing with a new coat of paint." He then went back and asked me again why I liked it. I could only smile and shrug.

If there's one series that makes Zelda take a back burner, though, it's Mass Effect. Never thought I'd say that about ANY series, but there it is.

As for how corny my favorite ending is, that pretty much describes me. I'm a corny, hopeless romantic at heart, so seeing that "cliche" ending wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Also, after all the hardships both Shepard and Tali (and the rest of the Normandy 1 & 2 crew) have been through, a little peace and corny-ness would be a nice reward for, you know, saving the galaxy and most of the life contained therein.

Also, I think (at least I hope) it will be possible in the third game to at least start the Geth and Quarians down the path of reconciliation. I've played through ME2 more times than I can count, and have only recently come across the option to suggest to the Quarians that they don't go to war. I know it's a basic thing, but until my last playthrough, I never took the time to talk to the Admirals and others before retaking the Alarei.

But yeah, Tali is awesome and adorable. Going into ME2, I had read next to nothing about it (I wanted much of it to be fresh). I stayed as far away as I could from preview articles and the like, and I didn't know until almost release that Tali was even in it. Anyway, I had started out, firmly of a mind to bed Miranda, but then when Tali admitted her feelings I was all like "Miranda who?"

It was just so endearing to me to have this completely confident character who could make a mass effect core from spare parts and then turn around and blast a Geth in the face with her shotgun become all stuttery and unsure of herself when talking about deeply held feelings.

Not mad at you, but you know... Tali showed her face which is like the most intimate thing a quarian can do. When it comes down to it, it is like the biggest dick move you can do to her.

lol, no...it's my favourite mission in the entire game. I always used to get chills when Shepard made the Renegade speech at the end of the mission. But ever since I've watched that video, I now always picture Shepard singing that.
