Privately, I don't think they would - but in public - I would think they'd still want some vestige of privacy for their face. Some sort of headgear could do the trick, yea.Alienmorph wrote...

Okay, quick question for all you quarian aficionados: assume a cure for the quarian's immune system is discovered (in my fan-fic, it's nanites. Nanites are the new radiation, they cure everything). Do you think the quarian's history of wearing suits would cause all the quarians to remain in their suits, or do you think it would come down to the individual?
I'm asking because I caught a little flak for having Aila almost immediately shed her helmet once she no-longer needed it. My justification was that Aila has the personality where tradition doesn't really govern her actions and shes almost eager to change things that she sees as being pointless or oppressive.
Thoughts on this matter? Would Tali shed the helmet, or would she keep it for tradition's sake?
There was a fanfic, Beneath the Veil, that imagined that most of quarians continue after the re-settling on the homeworld to hide their faces with veils, like musulman women does... I see that as likely solution, I can't imagine any sane quarian willingly continue to dress the whole envirosuit or so.

I'd guess that the quarians who grew up in suits will probably remain covering their faces to some extent in public. It would probably be more socially comfortable for them. I'd also guess that the next generation (or the one after that) will quickly discard the tradition.

Another theory is that the suit veils are meant to represent hair, rather than a pre-exile traditional garb.VettoRyouzou wrote...
There is most likely a very GOOD chance they did wear silks and vails, Just looking at a evo suit tells that tale, most of the cloth looking part and hoods on the women from a Function stand point have no reason, but come from a Design standpoint to make them feel more comfortable.

i'd love to see some dedicated DLC for Tali in ME3, im almost 100% certain that we'll see her in the 3rd installment so i'd like to have some big DLC just for her.
There was never any doubt she be in ME3 the worry is to what extent? Old Wrex didn't get much face time in Me2.

Indeed. I am aware of this. And I literally facepalmed after realising this on one of my playthroughs, but I can't change it now...Link112 wrote...
Also, Tasha, were you aware your name meshes together pre and post pilgrimage names?
Tali'Zorah Nar Rayya was from the first game when she was still on her pilgrimage.
Tali'Zorah Vas Neema was her name in 2 post-pilgrimage.
Not that I'm anal retentive or anything...
:-P
Of course, I'm not as up on all of the Codex entries as some of you fine gents and ladies, so I could be wrong. Maybe the Nar Rayya is kept but downplayed. Like a maiden name or some such.
Someone want to educate me?
But please *ahem* it's just 'Tasha' to you guys. Please ignore my facepalm inducing error...
As for quarians having some sort of veil before they were confined to a suit, I find it unlikely because Matriarch Aethyta comments that she remembers when everyone could see what the quarians looked like without their suits. So this infers that people knew what quarians looked like before.
Unless you mean a transparent sort of veil? I guess that will be more feasible.
And I did hear somewhere that the angular parts of Tali's hood were to create the illusion of hair to make her look more 'humane' and more easily accepted as an LI? Also, male quarians have the 'knot' of wires at the back of their heads, that also creates the illusion of a 'ponytail' for hair?
I did hear this somewhere, and it may have been nuclearbuddha, so kudos goes to him

Yea it's all about exactly how much they'll be in ME3. Wrex, Liara, Ashley/Kaidan and a few others didn't get much in ME2. I think though that Tali and Garrus will be squaddies in ME3, partially due to their LI's.

The veil is just an accessory, not part of the suit, so the Aethyta's words are quite interpretable...

Wrex, Liara and the VS were put in secondary rhole in ME2 to make sure that a few familiar face would have been in all three games, but at this point I totally see as returning Tali, Garrus and the other main LI (so Miranda and Thane too).

Ah, in that case, I think a veil would look really cool on the quarians. I have always considered them to have that sort of mysticism about them, they do have 'old souls' after all.
Just replaying ME1, and I just heard Tali's comment upon entering Chora's Den. SHe was confused by the sexual purpose of the asari dancers, and said that quarians danced to express themselves and for enjoyment rather than to stimulate others. I thought it was pretty cool that this further proved the point that, as a quarian, Tali (although attractive) is not a sex object. She and Shepard are together because of their personalities.
Dang, I just love the quarian culture!!

I like that you think Thane is a likely returning LI, most people dismiss him. I also think Tali and
Garrus are the most likely to return as squaddies in ME3. But maybe I'm just optimistic, and I am seeing my own preferences!
Well,in general I expect that at least more or less 1/2 of the ME2's squaddies will return, there're are simply too many subplots around someof them. So for me Tali, Garrus, Thane, Miranda, Grunt, Mordin and
Legion should be quite assured, because of the plot and/or their popularity as LIs. Samara and Zaeed seems to be the most pointless characters, Jacob and Jack have chance only because they're LIs, and Kasumi is in danger only because she's a DlC character. Surely I think that we can count to lost at least 2-3 squadmates... 2 for indroducing
at least a new pair of characters (even only to guarantee a decent number of squadmates for who lost too many squaddies in SM) plus a room for the VS or a new character introduced in a twistful way like happened
with Legion.

Not confused, but surely disappointed that something considered such artistic for her people is so debased by other species. Still would be damn cute seeying her dancing for Shep, but not in the b***y way of Kelly Chambers. Also, about the veil etcetera... I wonder that could be the quarian equivalent of an elegant dress... okay being pragmatic and going beyond the appearence, but I can't that imagine that they don't have anything for special occasions.

I wouldn't go so far as to suggest a judgemental reaction on her part. She sounded more bemused by what she was seeing.Alienmorph wrote...

Yes is what I intended, I just used a wrong word. Surely she doesn't seem angry or so. A bit sarcastic, maybe, if I remember well, but nothing more.
