The exile could be a problem. Tali won't be able to go on the Fleet to find an orphan to adopt... but maybe with the help of Shala'Raan at least Shepard migth grant a temporary access to do that.
That may not matter. If the fleet gets involved in the fight against the Reapers, they'll need a place to leave their non-combatants while they fight. Otherwise most or all of the Quarian people could be wiped out during the war. In such a situation, tradition or not, they may wave the exile status to give their orphaned children a home. I could see Tali being a good mother.
Any children they adopt may actually make it out of their suits sooner than the others if they settle on the Quarian home world too. Maybe not, I dunno. It's a nice thought though. To think raising a Quarian child away from the fleet and on a planet at possibly a young age might allow them to adapt sooner. I think Mordin would be up for the challenge it would present and Tali is smart as hell.

On a side note I'm glad these thread stopped doing the "WHAT IF TALI HAD SHEP BABY!" crap..

Games rarely cover that sort of thing, yeah. Unless we're talking Harvest Moon or the Sims or something. But it's a nice thought, and fertile ground for people wanted to expand on things in fanfic.Nodscouter wrote...
If they'll adopt (Which I honestly really, really doubt) it's definitely going to be a Quarian child. Mostly because of the fact that we're human and we're all too used to human children.

Tali and Shepard could NEVER have a baby. Different amino acids and that. It is just as likely as Garrus and femshep having a kid. And honestly, I don't like the idea of Shepard having a kid with any LI, but that is just my opinion.
As for adoption? Sure, why not. I wouldn't do it. But a lot of Shepard's will.
When we speculate of events after ME3, it is more thinking about the epilogue than just pointless things. I hope that ME3 has an epilogue where you can talk to your LI and see what direction you want the relationship to go to. As it is the final in a trilogy. A bit like how DA:O.
Alienmorph came up with some cool epilogue ideas for Tali a bit ago.

Here it is.
I think it would be nice to discuss future plans with Shepard's love interest at the end of the game. I have doubts that we'd be able to express desire for adoption, but it would be really nice if we did. Who knows - I was after all surprised about the "getting Tali a homeworld" thing in the Liara LotSB. They may very well put it in, if they're watching.

Here is another, just to celebrate the loyalty of two squaddies who have followed Shepard to hell and back - twice.

I think that if ME3 is a gather the races thing, which it appears to be. Then it is likely that quarians will help in the battle against the reapers. In which case, Shepard may help in finding a homeworld for Tali, or reclaiming Rannoch. Although I am ready to accept that quarians living outside their suits on a planet may exceed the timeframe of ME3. It would still be so great to give the quarians something back after all the centuries of being prejudiced against, and their blame for the geth, as well as being chased from their homeworld. It would be a fantastic ending if they had something happy happen to the quarians after all that.
Speaking of which, Garrus and Tali had an elevator conversation where Garrus basically condemned the quarians for unleashing the geth upon the galaxy. He said 'I hope your people are properly contrite.' Garrus is my fav, but that is the one line I really don't like from him. My Shepard would have had words with him then and there.
Apart from that, Tali and Garrus are best buds. Just an intial little slip up

Yeah, that was kind of surprising dialogue. Especially given how it was a neutral confirmation of what's a renegade dialogue option in Tali's loyalty mission.
