Tali seems to oppose all the other admirals. She wants the homeworld back, so she doesn't agree with Koris. She doesn't want war though, so she opposes Gerrel. She thinks experimenting on geth is wrong, so she doesn't like Xen. Tali doesn't seem to want to take a position. [/quote]]

Um.....You just gave two examples of positions she takes. She also took a strong position on not turning over the evidence of her father's work, even though it might cause her to be exiled. I've never thought she was indecisive. She can learn and change her view point, but to me that's not bad thing. Just saying.....

Captain Ysin'mal vas Idenna from Ascension looks like a decent replacement for Rael on the Admiralty. He has experience of being a leader and has the vote of confidence from his crew which something Tali couldn't get from Prazza or the rest of her team. He looked like he knew just how to manipulate the Conclave\\Admirals into getting what he wished. He seems to lean with Koris and wants to find a new world to colonize. Xen might sway him though if she could ever get that master plan of hers working.

Except that the fate of the Idenna is unknown, I think.

That was just something I thought about. Just popped into my head and I thought, now this could be an excuse for Bioware to let us meet Lemm'Shal. Second favorite Quarian of mine and I don't think its necessary to say who is my favorite.

Yeah, weren't they sent to find a planet to colonize. You do help the Idenna in ME2 with N7: Quarian Survivor Mission.

That's not all they were sent out looking for.  And the Quarian Survivor thing was from one of the Idenna's scout ships, I think.

Haven't read the novels yet, but I believe the crashed Quarian Ship was the Cyniad, not the Idenna.

In the Ascension book, the Cyniad was a scout or small shuttle attached to the Idenna and was crewed by those attached to the Idenna. The small crew and ship were lured into a trap by the exiled quarian traitor Golo.

In game, the N7 mission referenced above, is something different I think. It was one of my favorite small missions to take Tali and Grunt on with their shotguns, but I would have to go back and look to see what quarian ship the survivors were attached to.

It's a shame Tali didn't have anything to say about it though. Anyway, the distress calls goes ''This is Lieutenant Forzan Vas Idenna'', so it's highly likely that the ship was either the Idenna or the Cyniad.

You are quite right Nod. The Cyniad is the ship in game, crewed by Idenna crewman. Although the captain on the small vessel which is featured also in the Ascension book ( apparently later ) is a different quarian. I n the book that crew does not survive the ambush.  The Idenna is sent on long range scouting to explore for resources and possible planets to settle with a human biotic on board. But we probably have strayed far enough away from Tali's discussion.....

You misunderstand. Tali takes positions, but she offers no direction. She disagrees with every admiral on the board. If she had control, what would she do? I don't get the impression she is open to peace either. I don't know what she wants.

Also we get an email from the Idenna in ME2 if you save the crashed survivor. So the ship is in deep space but not out of communication range it would seem.

I don't remember getting the Quarian Survivor mission. What triggers it?

You have to go to Illium, buy a star chart(The Hades Nexus I believe) from the Barya Frontiers kiosk, then you have to go that Cluster and go to a system there and scan a planet. It's an anomaly mission.

Also, I'm quite curious to what ME3 brings for the romances. I mean, the ME1 romances have very little in ME2, both Liara and the VS have very little to say to you. But the ME2 romances, like Tali, can be very interesting as I doubt they will leave you again.

Actually if you have Firewalker you don't have to buy the chart on Ilium. The Sheol system will be unlocked once Horizon is finished.

Okay makes sense. I'm working on my canon playthrough and I'm still working on those last few missions.

They expand quite a bit with Liara in Lair of the Shadow Broker.

Incidentally, I wonder if anything will be different in ME3 if you DON'T go with Liara to the Shadow Broker base.

I'm guessing it will be similar to Tali's pilgrimage in ME1.  It still happens, just without Shep's help.  Maybe a little unique dialogue if you did it.

Not really, I just don't interpret it that way. Although I agree with Tali not being ready for the Admiralty Board, I prefer her and her shottie at my side anyway. I also like Nuclear's take on the whole Prazza incident.....wish I could write that well.

Thank you for the kind words; I'll pass them along to my partner in crime on that one as well.  I wanted to have a more exciting explanation than "Prazza is a mistrustful hothead."

A nice pic, but nothing special. Well, except that Tali is in it of course.

I think it will matter alot more than this. First of all, it's Shepard who fights the Shadow Broker mostly, I doubt Liara could take him on by herself. Secondly, Shepard gives Liara the information. Without him, she wouldn't know anything.
