I hate it when people have arguments over things like there when there truly is no right answer. Who should you romance? Who you personally feel the most attracted to.
It's personal opinion for each and every person.
I don't resent jack/miri/liara/ash/hanar/vorcha/thane/garrus/wrexmancers for going through with that particular character. It's your opinion. Romance who you want. Don't feel bad if your choice is not the most popular, you're different from everyone else.
That's not to say everyones opinions don't matter, it's perfectly fine to express how you prefer character x over character y, just don't get mad when people don't agree with you.
Also, if someone expresses their opinions on how they like character x over character y, and you like character y over character x, it does not make either one of you wrong, nor should you attack said person with viscious comments in a attempt to justify your decision when what only matters is your own choice.

I think it's kind of unfair to generalize specific groups. Not every Miri lover hates Tali, nor does every Liara fan hate Tali. A lot of them do ,however, hate Tali's romance plot. Which is fine because it's not for everyone.

Liaramancer was chosen as the name for this group of people simply because they all had Liara as their profile pictures, and they sometimes compared her romance to Tali's. I was not implying that every fan of Liara hates Tali and I wasn't profiling all of you either,only the ones that happened to troll her on this thread and on the polls. The same context applies to my use of "Mirandamancer".

Then I guess you should have signaled that since the beginning... you cannot say that Tali's fanbase is mistreated and then post similar things that can offend easily the other fans without saying that thei're directed only to the trollish/hater wings of the community. Some of your points were sharable, but next time you should be more precise when you say about who your reflections are.

I didn't know that using the terms Liaramancer and Talimancer were meant to be offensive. It's not unlike the term "Obamacare" that republicans coined to signal there disdain of the plan in which I fail to see it as offensive.

Capt flasheart, while your first two analysises are correct, your two others show that you are in fact, one of the Talimancers that give us a bad name. You seem to rage upon the Miranda/Liaramancers, while trying to say that you are the victim. While we are in fact, mostly looked down upon by most of the community these days, you cannot just go against everybody who likes Miranda/Liara which is what it looks like you did. Your argument can basically be summed up by ''You Miranda/Liaramancers are all biased''.
Your first two was entirely correct however, people who hate Tali for her being popular is so extremely retarded it's hard to express in words, and trolls will be trolls. Not that they succeed in much in this thread.

This is true .

And I can see what you mean. But just be careful not to judge a whole group of people based on the troll comments of a few people.
For example, in my experience, I have always found 'Jackmancers' (along with Garrusmancers) to be the most chilled out on BSN. They never interfere with others. And if someone trolls their thread, then they just shrug it off.

I mean, I heard all sorts about a few of the 'extremist' Talimancers before I began posting on here. Then, because I love Tali, I decided to drop in, and the people here have some really thoughtful discussions, and I enjoy posting here. I think that the Tali thread at the moment is totally awesome.

I now understand that I used some words which are a little too general and open to interpretation. With this in mind I've edited my earlier posts to include the words "Liara-extremist" and "Miranda-extremist" where necessary. It's just like my teacher said in my first class at uni, "Even if you know how your markers think, don't assume they'll know what you were thinking".

ImmortalWarrior, for the record I'm a nuclear physics student. I do however, study phychology passionatly as a hobby. I'm pretty knowledgeable with regards to the inner workings of the fanboy mind if you ever have any questions about that sort of thing.

Ah nuclear physics.  I studied physics at University for two years myself before I went on to be a computer programmer.  Always loved physics though, had a long strung out conversation with the guys at work the other day about the 4 generations of nuclear fusion that can lead us to waste free environmentally friendly fuels 'cause I'm a nerd like that.  You know, deutirium to deutirium and deut to tritium etc etc. :happy:

Back to the topic of discussion though, there does seem to be a lot of high strung emotions between some people in the Miri and Tali fan groups.  It just shows that they are passionate about their reasons, even if their ways of expressing it are counter productive.

But it's completely pointless to bicker about something like that. It's like saying that apples are tastier than oranges, you can't be right really. I hate Miranda personally, but I sure as hell don't go to their thread and ask why the hell they're 'mancing her and not Tali, because I know that they have their own tastes. Let people have whatever they prefer, until it hurts other people.

You can find the Khelish text  in Haestrom inside the observatory.
The Citadel's panel is in the Citadel, in front of Lia'Vael.
