Just to be a little selfish and do the not-so-top-but-top-of-the-page Tali pic.

As much as I'd love, absolutely LOVE, to give Tali her homeworld in ME3, I will more likely than not go for the "peaceful" ending. That is, find the best compromise for the Quarians and the Geth.
I wonder if you'd choose that ending because the game says it's the paragon path (read: it's a top-left or right choice on the dialogue wheel) or because you think it's right according to your own morals.
Personally, I believe that the way the game tells me what's right and wrong through the position of dialogue choices is restrictive, due to the number of morally grey subjects in the game. For example, I thought that Mordin's case for re-releasing the genophage on the Krogan was ethically sound, yet the game thought otherwise, forcing me to choose dialogue options I didn't agree with in so I could earn the paragon points I needed to help Tali in her trial and break up her fight with Legion.

That, and I am as a person all about compromise. I live in the States, and I feel that our Country in its current form was built basically on compromise, and to do solely what one side wants is entirely un-democratic and wrong. Whose to say which side is right or wrong? Each side has their own position on the matter, and they are right or justified from their own point of view.
I'd further get into this, citing the d-bag Scott Walker and his plans for my state of Wisconsin, but that's not what this thread is about. This thread is about Tali, and when it comes down to it, I honestly think the best outcome will come from the Geth and Quarians working together to resolve their differences. Call me naive and optimistic if you will, it's just the way I feel, heh.

Well, the Paragon is supposed to be the ''Live and let Live'' while the Renegade is supposed to be the ''By any means necessary''.Capt_Flashheart wrote...

Nah, you're simply wise. I wish there were more people in the world who think this way. Humanity would get rid of many problems.

You just made me realise I'm an "ends justify the means" sort of guy, so long as the "ends" is morally right. Not saying that I like doing bad things, but if I had to do something bad to achieve a greater good, I wouldn't hesitate.

I totally agree. However there some differences in life that just can't be resolved because of peoples inability to swallow their pride. How else do you think a war starts? How any fight starts? Conflicts of ownership are espesially tricky (*cough*Rannoch=Jerusalem*cough*). In short I think it would be great if the Quarians and Geth could just wipe the slate clean and start over. It would also be great if muslims and jews could just live together without bombing each other, but I doubt either senario will happen without some serious ego deflation and boot kissing.

Also Flasheart, let's not compare Rannoch to Jerusalem. There's a very, very large difference there.

That's not a bad attitude. As long as the gains outweigh the losses it's worth it. Kill one person to save a million etc... But you have to realise something, there is nothing, literally nothing, that can be good or bad. There is nothing really black or white in the world.

Fair enough. I was just saying that they both are things which are very hard to share.

And with regards to your statment about there being nothing really black or white in the world, no good or bad, I strongly disagree. If one lives in a society with a code of ethics (and in any society, there are always ethics), and ones morals and choices conform to these ethics, then those morals and choices will be considered "good" within the context of that society and any other society that has the same ethics. Pretty black and white to me.

Ethics does not make things good or bad. You have to understand that there's a difference between what some people think and what actually is reality. What I meant by black/white, good/bad is that nothing, literally NOTHING, has exact good or bad outcomes. Kill a baby for example. Most people consider that bad/evil. It's not. It stops overpopulation, that baby might grow up to become a drain on society etc...
Our opinion of the world has very little relevance here. It being considered good or bad does not make it good or bad. Many people consider Hitler to have been a good person. Does it make him that?

That is a very good question my friend, but I was just sitting here thinking and I remembered that one Asari that said that she and her Asari lover were studying the quarians music and I started to think. I wonder what it would sound like. Well, we have a quarian and she has a lovely voice. Why not have Tali sing a quarian song?
