That is an interesting question that I don't think I can probably answer. But I think she would get the gist of it.

Would she even "get" it? Quarian's don't have pets, she would lack an understanding of the owner-pet bond.

I guess Chiktikka is the closes thing to a pet Tali has ever had. Or maybe she can have some fun with the space hamster in Shep's cabin.

But I think she'd understand the concept of such bondage.

I'm hoping the AA pack gives Tali a bit more armor and battle gear. I love her look right now, but it'd be nice to see her in some badass armor for missions. Judging by what they did with the first AA pack (fixing Garrus' armor among them), it's very plausible that they may do it.

I support assault armor Tali.  With more glowy bits.

I would pay money to put Tali in a ScatterMAX.

Anyone here remember Planetside? A Scatter Cannon MAX suit was an Anti-Infantry suit of Powered Armor with one arm more or less replaced with an large bore automatic shotgun.

It. Was. Beautiful. It's also a damn shame I can't find a larger picture of it.

I remember someone posted an image of "battle armor" Tali back in Clan Z several weeks ago. But I can't find it.

Does Tali says anything after the romance? At the end of this video seems like Tali has a post romance dialogue, i never saw it.

After Omega 4?  Yes.  She mentions she's got a cold but that it was worth it.

Edit:  Totally worth it.

Pretty weird that only Jacob and Tali have post suicide mission dialog about their romances.

The amount of work put into Tali's dialogue (see loyalty mission) is understandable. Heck, there's even more variation on Liara's lines about her in LotSB.

But it is a little weird that Jacob's got more dialogue in there than some of the others.

Edit:  Link to transcript of LotSB dialogues.

They probably figured that Tali and Jacob would be the most popular love interests. Without having the hard numbers Bioware has, I'd guess Tali is in a close second with Jack and Jacob is probably close to Thane at one.

Well, Tali's romance is the only one worth a damn on maleShep's side, but I don't know why Garrus or Thane didn't get anything to say.

I recall in the early days after ME2 release someone broke down everyone's dialogue and found that Tali had the most speaking time, far and away.

I thought that they were surprised by Tali's popularity.  It seems that they were really pushing for people to like Jacob and Miranda.  It didn't turn out that way, it seems.

I'd like to see how ME3 will be told, for the players who got the immortal Miranda killed.  Will she be miraculously alive again, without explanation?

Pretty big gamble on a character they didn't believe could be so popular.

Not that I'm complaining.

Finally broke down and watched the Tali rejection videos on youtube.

The first two aren't that bad, but the third one makes Shepard look like a heartless monster. She takes the fourth one pretty well all things considered, does rejecting her there remove her as your active romance?

Of course, everyone has different opinions. Although I didn't find Jack's romance itself appealing, I thought she was very interesting as a romance option. Shame I didn't like the romance, but I like Jack regardless. I think she'd be a worthy romance option, and I can understand why the Jackolytes like her.

Most likely because of the loyalty mission. Probably really the only reason.

It's not that big a gamble, precisely.  It really does look like the quarian/geth subplot is one of the big ones in the overall storyline.  It was like that in ME1, since the geth were so important there, and only got deeper in ME2.

Now, you could ask if it's an important subplot because they thought people would like Tali or if it was always intended that way.  However, given that the geth were one of the big bads in ME1, I think the emphasis on the quarian/geth conflict was always there.

It's difficult to say what the truth is about BW's expectations for Tali.  Everyone cites the "chicken feet" thing as proof they didn't have a clue.  But then again, they've also said they didn't expect people to like Miranda much.  Hard to figure out what they really thought.

I'm pretty sure all the rejections flip the picture of the ME1 LI back up (if you had one, of course).  That seems to be the most clear signal that no ME2 romance is ongoing.

They said that they didn't expect everyone to like every character. Some of the characters are fairly polarizing. Jack would be among them.

But like you said, I don't know what they expected with Tali. But I think they treated her romance and character with love. That counts for something.

This is the truth for sure.  But it's still a lot of work on just one character.

Maybe Liara's up there now, since she got a whole DLC of dialogue.

They certainly have in the DLC realm of things.  Kasumi and Liara are very kind to Tali's image.

Both of these characters are involved with a huge subplot. The Geth/Quarian subplot and the SB subplot. Both of those seem to demand quite a bit of attention.

I would assume that part of the reason why Tali has the least amount of conversations (along with Garrus) on the Normandy is because they are returning characters. There's not the same amount of need for exposition. Meanwhile, a new character, Mordin, has the most conversations.

This is one thing that irritated me about Tali. In the first game, she had so much expository dialogue about the geth, the quarian flotilla, etc., and I just found myself skipping her dialogue or just not talking to her. Very little of the information she spoke of was about Tali herself, and I just got bored with the history lessons.

In ME2, she shows up before you even get to the Normandy 2, and my first thought was "not Talipedia again". As someone who is not enthralled by Tali, I was a bit irritated that she was 'forced' on me in the Freedom's Progress mission. It was pretty obvious that because she has so many fans, the developers wanted to feature her early in the game. There's no way that her fanbase would be happy if they were unable to see Tali until after Horizon, which would have been the case if not for her presence on Freedom's Progress. At least I won't have to worry about a similar situation in ME3, unless the Ghost of Tali is an unskippable character.

I have no idea if she has more dialogue than other characters in ME2. I'm sure I explored all her dialogue options in my first playthrough, but after that my Shepards have barely spoken to her. I'm just not that interested in anything she has to say. If what NuclearBuddha says is true about Tali getting the lion's share of speaking time, than I'm rather miffed that other characters (that I find much more interesting) weren't given 'equal time'.

Thanks for the contribution, I guess!

I don't particularly begrudge any of the other characters their dialogue.  Especially, since like you say, you can skip it or be rid of them.  But thanks for telling us.
