Back to you though Golden Owl, you can be a casual gamer, but if you generally love a series as you say you do, in that series you generally dont get labelled 'casual' if you look into it and play it alot. Casual is more, you play 1hr a day, maybe three times a week, and play like a monkey, multiple variations on that.

In technical terms.... USERS.

Fair enough....just feel like an incredible noob as I watch these forum conversations flow :-)....In fact I play ME way too much and when people suggest with-holding ME3 for a later release date, I'm...NOOOOO!!!....:-)

Hey there, moderate-time lurker to these boards and finally decided my first character posts to be in here. I find that Tali's character to be the most fleshed out only below Garrus and Liara for the obivious reasons. I had a question though. On the end of my LOTSB, when asked about the future and Tali's home. Just looking at the options on a youtube video, what do the "Life everywhere" and "Survival" options do for that relationship?

"Life everywhere" option doesn't change anything...you just get more dialoge on Tali with the "Tali's home" option.

I agree thou I must admit I found legion to be just as fleshed out as them all, he really opened up allot of door that enjoyed much like Tali did in ME1.

Think of it this way, Bioware is a Quality over Quantity company, if they need to withhold it, it is for the best, and you'll be better for it, I personally would rather them keep it for another year than dissapoint me, RPGs are to Bioware as FPS is to Valve, quality, difference is Bioware dont just vanish for a few years making you wait for the third installment.

I just wish they'd made Neverwinter Nights 2, wouldnt have been so.... ugh.

I some what agree with that... thou Bioware gone in a direction I'm not to big a fan of case of EA influcnes DA2 could have been allot better frankly.

I liked legion as well but didn't get as much dialogue with since i picked him up dead last before the mission.

Besides there can only be one sentient ass-kicking robot in my heart, as he once said: Yet for me, love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticle, and together, achieving a singular purpose... against statistically long odds.
Wow that came out suprisingly fitting. Some kind of connection can be made to Tali right?

Apply this senario to ME2 and Miranda becomes the girl who would only get Shepard by being in the right place at the right time

...you also have to question the age of the player and make sure they aernt being lead by a divining rod in their briefs.

Kinda true,  high sex drives in young males (16 and lower) would seem to put Miranda at an advantage. I think an underrated influence would be their still developing capacity to make balanced judgements. Adolescent minds have a tendencey to consider far fewer factors than adult minds when making decisions. They can also become fixated on one particular aspect and let it shape their entire veiw of something (e.g. obsession with "the prizzze", or the lads on metacritic who gave CoD: MW2 a 0/10 for not having dedicated servers). I'm sure we can all guess which aspect of Miranda most boys fixate on.
I'd like to make it crystal clear my logic refers to a players choice of LI in their first play through, when first impressions are still fresh. You mentioned you choose LI's based on compatibility with your in-game character and not yourself. That removes a lot of emotion from your decisions and puts you well outside my logic.

By the way what do the Quarians think about human-Quarian relationships? Do they believe it's; weird, unnatural, immoral, shameful or are they fine with it?:

Alien is Italian btw :P

Indubitably, but Google translate said that "sondage" was a French word, so I guess Alienmorph knows that language too and simply switched to it by accident. Either that or Goolgle translate is retarded.Posted Image
And Tasha, you're no longer the only (self identifying) funny bumps human to post in this thread! Threatened much?

Very true, I would really hate to be dissappointed with ME3, there is so much I'm hoping will come into play in it and definitley hope its epic after all the build up in ME1 & 2....But am just being impatient in my wait :?...just hoping they can pull both off, an epic game in the time frame given.

A question I hope you don't mind...I'm thinking you would have a much better idea of what games are out there than I do, would you have any suggestions for other games I might also enjoy? What I look for...RPG, excellent graphics, personal character creation (face, clothes, etc...), fantasy, explorable world and do my own fighting thanks, I don't like the click on foe and watch them fight set up....Fallout New Vegas was suggested to me, I tried it, hated the graphics, lost interest almost immediantly, graphics are very important to me.

I dunno I do love hk-47 but Legion seemed funny when the fact he wasn't trying to, also I could sit there and listen to geth lore till I'm blue in the face it much like Quirians lore it just so good you want to know all that there is to it.

Well, actually my first run through is generally 'myself as good' while I took Liara for the experimentation of the complains regarding the game, I didnt actually have much of a care for her, I did however enjoy Tali's company, her quirks and her personality, and took alot of time speaking to her, doing all her side quests etc (so essentially I would have LI'ed Tali in ME1, had it been an option), in ME2 I took Tali as the LI, again doing what she wanted, and being a bit dissapointed at the lack of dialogue, and in Lair of the Shadow Broker, telling Liara that I was with Tali only.

So essentially my first personal choice is Tali.

@Alienmorph, it literally took me 5 minutes to understand that by "hudge sondage" you meant "huge survey" in French (or "hudgen Sunday" if your Swedish :P). Please stick to English, most of us have enough trouble with that.

I should note that this is complete jibberish in Swedish.
Also, I find it annoying that I have to choose between the Swedish company that made Minecraft and Bioware.
Wait, last week I lost like 10 diamonds to a creeper!
Go Bioware!

I don't think that quarians are too bigots with interspecies relationship, Tali herself in one of the romance's dialogues confirms that they're not uncommon, I've always had the idea that they're discouraged by quarians' traditions, but not explicitly forbidden. In case of Tali the situation might be a little worse, simply because being her the daughter of an important leader probably her people expect that she stays on the Fleet to continue her father's work (not necessairly as Admiral) and that she finds some other important quarian with having a family, instead of flying away with a man that tecnhically works with one of the Fleet's enemy organizations.

Well the best way to work for her people is aiding Shepard in defeating the Reapers. The quarians know of their existence and are not as hardheaded as the Council. And I'm pretty sure Raan knows of Tali and Shepard's relationship, or at least has an idea. It would be good for her people ; I mean, the Hero of the Battle of the Citadel and Spectre, choosing a quarian over anyone else.

This admitting that quarians want to improve their relations with other races and not being just left in peace. Excluding the pilgrimage thing they seem to be a quite isolationist species.

I think the quarians have become an insular society, because they've been shunned by the galaxy at large, forcing them to become self reliant and independant of the other races. Less by choice, more by neccessity. There are examples of that in today's world.

To me, that's why although they might discourage human-quarian relationships, I doubt they forbide them. A few pages back someone said they felt Tali's people were xenophobic. Couldn't disagree with this more. It would be natural in their posistions to be suspicious and wary of other races, because of 300 years of treatment, possibly lead to some individual prejudice ( ignorance ), but hardly xenophobic to the point of totally forbiding cross-species relation's.

It has been stated by Tali herself, that relationship's with another species aren't uncommon. I also tend to believe that Shala Raan would at least suspect Tali's feelings for Shepard, if not outright know. Sure it's just the way I look at it, but it only makes sense for the way I play my male Shep's. ( Actually it's part of a fanfic that I've been working on, that will probably never see the light of day....but we'll see :? )

Its a good job that they dont take your relationship to Tali into account during her trial, else they might even be able to ignore all your evidence regarding your connection with her creating a bias, although technically your evidence is more character evidence via her helping you on the citadel.

Quarians also have the birth control policy, and they deem quarians to be beneficial if they continue their line and rear one quarian (because I believe at times it is a one child policy) that will benefit the Migrant Fleet.

So it makes sense from that point of view, that they will discourage relationships with other species.

*Facepalm* Haha. It is what the turian groundskeeper on the Citadel refers to them as. So I was just excited to hear that there is another female regular on the Tali thread :D

Tali has funny bumps. :P
