Also, incredibly dumb question but Tali is 24 in ME2 right? The bio says 22 but I am thinking that was for ME1.

It's not a dumb question, my memory needs a jog as well ( talk about setting myself up ! )

Putting the Widow or the 'Revie' in Tali's hands put the ME1 badass right back in her!  Nice pic.  She shoulder's that weapon just fine.  I plan on doing another playthrough with 'sniper Tali'

That doesn't seem too far fetched to tell you the truth. If you bring Legion on her recruiting mission she proves that she's quite the dead-eye with a pistol.

Looks like Tali won't be appearing as a squadmate in ME3...

Come on now, all we can really say for sure is that BioWare did not confirm her as a squadmate for Gameinformer. All they list is what BioWare was willing to tell them.

There's absolutely no way they'd bring back Garrus without Tali coming for the ride; the flames on these forums would be enough to boil water and turn turbines so hard that we could solve the world's energy needs.

Yeah, you're right. It's too much to ask for all the information all at once. Still, it feels odd that they would include a new character in the GI preview over an old popular one.

We do know that she is one of the most death-prone squadmates. That doesn't bode well for her.

Indeed. I get the feeling that Tali's involvement with the Flotilla will mean she is a much more plot spoilerific character to show off. I expect that the press only got the first few hours of the game shown to them afterall, 4 squaddies sounds about right for that.

As much as Garrus and Tali get lumped together like the VS they play quite different roles in the main plot afterall. Garrus has no particular influence on Palavan or even the Citadel. Tali could be directly involved in the Quarian/Geth side plot we all know is coming regardless of whether she was exiled or not.

With all that said I was a bit surprised myself. But then, Miranda, Jacob, Thane and Jack fans are even more in the dark right now.

Garrus was the only character from Mass Effect 2 mentioned as confirmed.

Chillax, they aren't going to have only one love interest from the game return.

And maybe Mordin and Legion.

Though I hope we will get Tali back.
And Miranda.
And Jack.
And Thane.

Well we are getting VS back. Yay!

Nevertheless Tali would NEVER abandon Shepherd on his trial after what Shepherd did for her - she would feel like traitor not be be by his side to defend him, while he was tthe only one who stood for her in the direst moment.

Maybe only unloyal Tali wouldt have abandon the trial - but she is pobably dead on Suiccide Mission if so.

Only 4 returning squadmates confirmed of a team of probaby 10-12 like in ME2, and three of them are returning characters and LIs. And you're worried that Tali won't return? Honestly I think her chances of coming back are increased and not reduced seeying who else will return. Don't be alarmed.

Tali can be exiled and remain loyal and LI.

NO REASON FOR HER TO LIVE BIOWARE!

Also Liara as squadmate?
BS! She's a Shadow Broker! She's way more useful on that SB ship instead of running and shooting right besides Shepard!

I can see the Bioware's PR people siting around looking through some of these forums and thinking LOL, we did our jobs well. You just know they're going to put enough out to stir the pot and keep the fires burning. It would be extremely unlikely for Tali to not to be back, even if she is easy to get killed ( like Mordin ). Play her right in your squad and she's a bad motor-scooter.

I love Bioware, I trust (hope) they would not be so dastardly as to take away our Tali.

Heh noone want to coment on this ? :)

From gamesinformer we've heart that Tali isnt avaliable right form the begining on the Shepherd trial.
As you can read above I cant see Tali leaving Shepherd alone when he is in the same situation she was just a moment earlier.

Possible scenarios imoh:

- Shepard surrendered alone, the Normandy and the team are somewhere else during the trial.
- Tali in the shown game was dead or unloyal so she wasn't at the trial because of that.
- ME3 is set 1-2 years after ME2 and the team is partially splitted, so we'll have to find and recruit her again.

Whathever, I can't imagine a loyal or romanced Tali willingly leaving Shepard in troubles after he helped her in her own treachery trial. She wasn't just part of the stuffs shown to the GI guys imoh.

They HAVE to have Tali back for ME3. There's far too much fan love for her, and she's proven herself to be a valuable squadmate thanks to her tech skills. Besides, it looks like, based on the GI article, there's an effort to "bring the band back together" by allowing you to have Liara, Kaiden or Ashley, Garrus and even Wrex (if he wasn't killed) as squadmates, so to leave Tali out of that would be extremely foolish.

No way they'd take her out. Can't happen. Nope. She arguably has the most interesting personality of all the female characters in ME2 (Jack might be able to compete but she's insane). On that same train of thought I have serious doubts that you see the "whole" tali (personality- though seeing her face would have to happen too). So far we've seen a portion of her wrath during her trial, heartbroken "I found my father dead" Tali, five different kinds of nervous, and "I have to clean this engine." I want to see her relax a little, it's in every fanfiction I've seen and it's time it happened in game.
