Why do you care? Different people like Mass Effect for different reasons. I loved ME2 but that had nothing to do with its plot.

I just think it is immature to behave that way toward a video game. I guess if you can afford that kind of disposable income to buy games just because of one character.

I love Tali, but she's not worth 60 bucks. Frankly, I think she could do a lot better not being in Shepard's squad. I don't even think she should have been on his squad in ME2. She couldd have been a much more important character if they'd kept her out.

Unlike Garrus she has a lot of obligations and connections beyond Shepard.

I see what you are saying however, this can work with many aspects of the game. Would it be considered immature to not buy ME2 because it had a horrible plot? Or because it had a lack of RPG elements?

You can get quality interaction even if she's not on the squad. If she's the star of a mission you might actually get to see her do something besides stand to Shepard's left or right and talk.

There is something to be said about fighting along side each other. It is (would be?) different than simply talking across a room.

Also that's... touching. I guess. You must really love gas-masks and skin-tight suits.

Your insults are not wanted nor needed.

I think it's immature for people who have probably never met to criticise one another in a pointless argument.

A lack of plot? To a degree, yes. Games should be enjoyed primarily for their game-play.  "RPG Elements" would fall under that. Though I don't know what RPG elements you think are missing from it... and actually, I don't want to be drawn into that stupid debate.

Her combat taunts aren't even that great.

I enjoy all of the opportunities it gives for world communication and interaction during missions.
Combat taunts are bonuses B)

When ME2 first came out, one of the biggest complaints was its `lack of RPG elements.` I dont necessarily agree with that however.

The point is, some people likely would have held off buying ME2 if they knew the plot before hand. The fact is there are a lot of things that would be deal breakers for some people in ME3, Tali not being a squad mate is one of them. Its certainly not immature, nor is someone hating ME2 for its bad plot.

So... nobody is gonna buy it then. You realize Bioware is about as good at keeping secrets as a two-dollar **** is at keeping her legs closed, right? The entire game will be spoiled a month before it is even realized. That's just what Bioware does.

You must live an extremely affluent life if you judge your game purchases based on which side-characters are in them.  I envy you.

I am 100% certain Tali will be a squadmate in ME3. I don't blame anyone who holds out to find out for sure - but she's definitely in the game.

I don't think you understood what I said. My fault I suppose. When I said "you" was speaking generally, refering to anyone who would refuse to buy the game because Tali wasn't a squadmate. I wasn't refering directly to you.

I think i will buy ME 3 either way, but i be frustrated that if she isn't squadmate in ME 3. And i have every right to feel that way, and base my action on that, if i buy it or not.

If people feel that they can't buy a game if a favorite character is not present, or a feature is missing, it is their choice, and you have no right to call them immature for it. In fact, it should be pretty understandable, since it is something that is in human nature. We always seeks something, we always have a purpose with what we do, i buy games becasue i either like the concept or the companions in it.

And there is no need to answer insult with insult, all that does is to make people more angry.

One thing that I actually missed from ME1 was the elevator rides... Just kidding, what I actually missed was the chance for two of your squad mates to interact with each other. Personally I think if Bioware included some kind of "rec room" on the Normandy for squad mates to talk to each other instead of just Shepherd a lot could stand to be gained from it.

Case in point: Tali- Garrus conversation. One of the more entertaining chunks of conversation in my opinion.

Imagine that but while you're in the Normandy. See what your squaddies are like when not getting shot at or on trial, watch their relationships develop. Technical nightmare but I think Bioware could pull this off if they wanted to.

I genuinely do miss the elevator rides. As Yahtzee says the airlock and elevators made the world feel like it was actually connected. They also weren't as immersion breaking as loading screens and gave us character development.

It was the elevator rides that helped me notice Tali as a character.

Bring back the elevators! And more news/conversations!

Logically Tali will be returning in ME3, but I still need confirmation to be sure.

Please don't tell me she won't be recruitable in the vanilla game and you'll include her in a bloody DLC as a recruitable member.

If she's not exiled she can have the DLC named "Quarian politics" as she tries to convince the admiralty to side with the Geth with Legion at her side.Posted Image

That would make the 'renegade' shepard's go off the deep end. Tali would like this.

This is the way I play Tali now and it's a great combo. Now if I could just find her Colossus armor again......
