Day one DLC: The Exiled Princess

Only $10.

Edit: I prefer the elevators too.

If she's not exiled she can have the DLC named "Quarian politics" as she tries to convince the admiralty to side with the Geth with Legion at her side.Posted Image

One thing I was always annoyed at was the fact that Tali and Legion never really converse. You never really learn Tali`s opinion towards Legion except maybe the argument they have.

Seeing Legion actually try to get Tali to trust 'him' a little would have been fun to watch.

The only other time (that I remember) would be if you take Legion to the Rayya where Tali will actually agree with 'it' in one conversation. I would agree there's an awful lot of 'holes' in the dialogue that I would have like to have played out. Having Tali and Legion reach consensus (?) would be one of them.

A quarian/geth toast with a food paste tube and a new hard drive.

Tali; " Here's to a bullet in Xen's faceplate"
Legion; " We have reached consensus creator Tali'Zorah"

For the whole trial thing and I'm going off of alleged trial here sense I have yet to play arrival. I'd imagine the only way a spector can be tried is for the council to yank their council status similar to how countries refund diplomatic immunity so the citadel yanks spector status and it better be a good reason for a para shep here BW other then you died and you were working for Cerberus cuz my shep would tell them all he/she never wanted to work for cerberus it was literally over their dead body they got recruited for the SM.

Anyway so shep goes to trial for whatever and I'd imagine the Alliance would either say no aliens or allow his alien crewmen to go up make some passionate speeches as to why shep is innocent the alliance lawyers tear them apart one way or another and twist things to confuse the jury if not out right discredit some others on crew and stop sheps lawyers with motions and so forth from ever mounting a proper defense and shep goes to jail and I suppose that means EDI is impounded unless Garrus and Tali steal it along with Joker and any other rouges crewmen they can muster later they pick him up and on with the game

but BW don't do what you did with the whole death situation and give 3 references in the first 3 hours of the game and then everyone is oblivious make crew, npcs, bosses, ect you meet reference this through out the game it doesn't need to be everyone but few people and can we finally get some trauma from the death part here? I mean really, sheps a brick here. I forbid brick syndrome during trial, after trial, imprison, and while back on Normandy forbid it!

EDIT: Oh and can Tali and Garrus get actual rooms now? Maybe Garrus prefers to sleep where he works but Tali come on not even a cot down in engineering give the girl a room of her own! Better yet if she's an imported LI she lives with shep and from time to time you go up there and she's there working or reading or something change it up. And if fish are present and you have a LI auto feed all game long! or until they die.

Even more fun thought.

L: Creator Tali'Zorah, the geth wish to communicate with you.
T: Yes?
L: We wish to end confrontations between geth and creators. In good faith we offer assistance.  The geth have prepared Rannoch  for the creators. It is in a pre-war state now.
T: Rann- the Homeworld? The geth are giving us our homeworld like it was brand new?
L: Incorrect, the geth have altered Rannoch. Our extended time in close proximity with a creator has allowed us to analize your hardware. We have altered the atmosphere of creator home planet to allow nominal functioning without the aid of an environmental suit.

That wouldn't make any sense. It isn't the atmosphere that is hostile to the quarian biology now. It's everything in the atmosphere. Unless the geth sterilized the entire planet (rendering it lifeless), there isn't much they could do. Of-course it is more than that; dust particles are part of the problem as well.

I genuinely do miss the elevator rides. As Yahtzee says the airlock and elevators made the world feel like it was actually connected. They also weren't as immersion breaking as loading screens and gave us character development.

It was the elevator rides that helped me notice Tali as a character.

This.  ME2 was much less immersive than ME1, and this, minor as it seems, was actually a major reason why. I hated not walking onto the Normandy.  And if you're going to have a loading screen anyway, why not an airlock or elevator?

I wouldn't be surprised at some of the things I have seen some people put about Liz Sroka...

I suspect Bioware have big great plans for Tali. They know she is one of the most popular characters. So I suspaect the reason they haven't announced anything yet is because her role in the game will be a big lovely spoiler!

Sounds reasonable. I hope that too.

Yes thank-you, that's the one. Interesting to me is, that's the conversation where I turned on Xen and the 'renegade's' say YES!, another ally.
I see another 'ends justifies the means character' and arrogance.  It's not much conversation between Tali and Legion, but it tells me Tali understands the need to find another approach to the geth/homeworld problem;  not that Tali trusts Legion at that point, but she does not approve of Xen's approach.

And Yep! that's my opinion, nothing more.

Why do you care? Different people like Mass Effect for different reasons. I loved ME2 but that had nothing to do with its plot.

I just think it is immature to behave that way toward a video game. I guess if you can afford that kind of disposable income to buy games just because of one character.

I love Tali, but she's not worth 60 bucks. Frankly, I think she could do a lot better not being in Shepard's squad. I don't even think she should have been on his squad in ME2. She couldd have been a much more important character if they'd kept her out.

Unlike Garrus she has a lot of obligations and connections beyond Shepard.

Not to defend the tali fans... but... just b/c you think liking games for reasons other than the plot/gameplay is immature... doesn't make it so. Plenty of people like games for their amazing characters and the development of those characters...  It's kind of like tv shows... one you like ends... yet there is a spin-off show and one or two characters from the first go to it... so you decide to watch that for the characters... then you may also fall in love with the show. The same thing could be true for video games as well.

To believe there is only one reason to like a game.... to me, THAT's immature. :alien:

Nice! Never brought Legion with me to Tali's LM. But that is the first step!

And 'ends justify the means' characters are fine. I guess Garrus is one of those types anyway. But Xen is on about risking the entire race for the sake of servitude. The fact that she actually wants to enslave the geth, even after they turned upon the creators, shows that she is short sighted. Perhaps she is egomaniacal, and thinks that she can handle the geth and put more restrictions on them to prevent that. But even so, aren't there other things that the quarians need to spend their resources on other than enslaving a race of machines that went to war with them?

You know, such as.. survive?

Edit: I agree with sgt. Reed. People like games for different reasons, but for me, it is lots of combined reasons that made me love Mass Effect. And the characters were one of those reasons. Just because someone likes Tali doesn't give them reason to criticise why they like a game? And it annoys me how Saphra constantly puts Tali fans in a box.

Well, like I said, I suspect that Tali will still have a large role. As Bioware have often said, they are aware of the fanbase for Tali. But I just think that Tali's role will be epic and amazing! So you should all still order the game nevertheless. Hell, she may still be on the Normandy quite a bit because she is an LI.

Seriously she will become an admiral (if she's not exiled). Can you imagine an actual admiral fighting in a squad instead of ruling the fleet with other admirals ?
