And while most artists are humble I can assure you if I had any talent the internet would have run out of space to hold sketches by now.

Sparta, dont bother trying to convince Rune otherwise. We have all tried at some point to no avail. Anyway, does anyone find it odd how in Ascension Quarians can apparently live without suits on the Flotilla, yet according to Tali in ME2, thats not the case?

Oh... he is one of those... oh well. thanks for saving me the time lol.

Ithought Tali said it was out of ...not tradition in the average sense of the world. i can't really think of the proper word right now... habit??? yeah habit it is!

Though quarians wore the suits within the flotilla's out of habit not really because they need to. After all, technically their ships are clean. And that is what ruined their immune systems in the first place.

Turians also.

when it comes down to dismantling something I doubt omni tools with unscrew something.

Omni tools dont hold weapons... and omnitools certainly aren't energy knifes :P

is just weapon grips.. When I see Garrus and Tali holding a pistol... I'm like...

I know I dont use my last two fingers much.. the pinky and ...wedding ring is it? But without them I would not be able to hold my AR 15 even for a few seconds... I Mean maybe the barrel as aiming... but wow lol

They can but choose not to. Space ships are sterile for a plethora of reasons but nothing in the universe is truly ever spotless. Another major reason for the suits is privacy.

During her Loyalty mission, she says that if she does not wear a helmet in her own, she dies.

1. Im one of the people who said your not a bad artist.

2. In Ascension, it was made clear that they can, like you said leave their suit. However, Tali says on her loyalty mission that she will die without one, even on the flotilla.

EDIT: perhaps she stated it as a possibility and not necessarily as a certainty.

??? I dont recall her saying that. But if your talking about when your arguing with her... I think the preceding argument was her smelling and tasting something in an average day. So maybe she was relating to doing it on a day to day basis she would die. But not onboard the flotilla.

Yes. Its obvious that at certain points in their lives they can leave the suit. Reproduction would be impossible if they had no designated clean rooms.

Just saying... She makes it perfectly clear that she will die without a suit, yet in Ascension it was made clear that the suits arent by any means mandatory.
There are possibilities though, like; she was referring to the Normandy as her home, or maybe she was exaggerating.

When it comes to weapon handling you know better than me without a doubt. But, as the name implies, the omni tool is good for all kind of things. Maybe there are applications to help each spiecies to get a good grip on all kinds of guns. The human grip application, the quarian grip application, turian, krogan, etc...

Dont worry about me knowing more. You've ever held a weapon of any type... duck hunting video game... um carnaval rifles w.e

Try imagining holding the grip with your ring finger and your pointing finger in the trigger. lol crazy

Is ...damn whats the word. A way to adapt to each needs.

I would
expect a quarian or turian weapons to have a ... ring in the grip to
allow easier pull from just one finger. Then again it would mean more
time in development to put that ring.

Ring I am tlaking about is the type of ring holes that some knife use... or brass knucles type.

Still them having half fingers  ,not counting the thumb, would mean
A they are bigger... which is fugly
B they are considerably denser and thus more powerful.

Either way still is weird :P and ackwardly cute at the same time.

You'll probably find that the two fingers are like our two 'main' fingers, the other two are pretty damn useless, but having them spaced out and longer probably makes them easier to use, and besides, I'd hazard a guess that if you took a child and chopped its two 'useless' fingers off it'd manage just as well as anyone else, its just the issue that we cant really relate to it.

You find that your main grip in your hands is on the inner side of your hands, same with your feet, while theirs is more spaced out, I think their hands are slightly slimmer too though, if I was to hazard a guess I'd say their fingers and hands are probably easier to manouver than ours, as we dont have that much room to work, and can only do minor things with the weaker part, hence why we dont use our smaller fingers for any strong practical application.

They provide minor support, no more. The irony is if you test using three fingers as an example, you cannot as it takes more effort to prevent them from doing something that comes natural, hence why it is harder to put yourself in that situation.

True enough. Always  figured that big space in beteween had some leveling aspect to it.

And most likely they are stronger on their own.

Still weird lol... cute though, but weird :P

It is also possible that the author just made up his own story as many fanfic writers do, ignoring the canon information of the game itself.  I for one do not take anything held or mentioned in the books as canon.  To me, it's just creative writing. Breaking canon information to make it fit the story the author wanted to tell.  (Something I know I am guility of.)

I don't think Drew Karpyshyn would make own story in the novels, since he also wrote the story for ME1 and ME2 I believe.

I think Tali just said that she would die because of fear of catching a disease like when her mother died.

Yet her comment "We are in our suits even among family." is very specific.
With the serious plotholes of Arrival, I suppose BW can change anything they want but the game is still the only canon. In that, it is clear, suits always.

I always just assumed that their fingers were much stronger than normal to make up for it.  But yes, I can see how weapons intended for humans or Asari would, in reality, be a bit difficult to operate for Quarians or Turians.

I find that I need both hands to grip and shoot an automatic pistol well, especially something with significant recoil like a 1911 or 357 revolver.  A pistol grip rifle like an AR-15 would be doable, but not pleasant.  Conventional wood-stocked rifles would be the worst, though.  A Quarian would basically be able to wrap his secondary finger and thumb around the stock, and that's it.

The argument before was the recapturing of their "home"... meaning Ranoch. She was talking about how she could not survive without a helmet in her own "home". I think she is referring to the planet not the flotilla.
