Isn't there a file in the game that has that one line of dialog un-modulated?

That single word unmodulated, if I recall correctly.

But MadCat has a good point about Hala'Dama still having the voice modulation.  Just BW trying to make voices distinct, I guess.

Oh, wouldn't an ME Persona game be nice?  We could become best buds with Garrus, take Tali on dates, ace the mid-term exams, and have all kinds of trippy adventures in Dark Space.

There is a vid? I missed a lot of things about Tali.

So cute.Posted Image

Personally, the cuteness of that scene was a bit lessened by the fact that the SR-2's engine room looks very much like the one in Event Horizon. I kept expecting Sam Neill to show up and claw his eyes out.

Back in topic, someone brought up a point that I don't think has gotten the attention it deserves: how other people outside the Normandy's crew are going to react to Shepard's relationship with Tali. Quarians aren't exactly well-respected in the galaxy, and I can see how Shepard's (probably the most famous human in the galaxy) relationship with Tali might raise a lot of eyebrows. I imagine many would be completely baffled by it, saying things such as "Shepard could do a LOT better. He could have had any woman in the galaxy, and he goes with some goat-legged buckethead?"

And of course, this goes both way. I'm sure Tali pursuing a serious relationship with a non-quarian is probably quite untraditional, considering that few quarians ever leave the fleet. It makes me wonder if there will not be a scene in ME3 where she has to chose between her duty to her people and her love for Shepard..

Commander Shepard found having a relationship with quarian beggar.

Admiral Hackett not available for comment.

Though I don't think old man Hackett would have any problem with Shepard having a relationship with Tali.

A quarian having a relationship with another race is more likely than you think. Take VGQ for example. She was together with a human for a while.

Kalish Al-...:So commander I heard you were scrogging a certain Quarian.

K: You know many people are saying just how wrong-

Shep: I have had enough of your nasty racism <Knees her>

Tali: Oh Keelah! Not again!

Liara: YAH! Right in the Quads!

I think it would be considered weird for a human to be having a relationship with an alien that isn't an asari.

Especially with crap like Terra Firma.

Stupid biases will be erased little by little.

Ironically, it might be better to have a relationship with a quarian than an asari. With the asari you get this "OMG, they're stealing our men (and women) and breeding more asari!"

It's tough to feel threatened by the quarians. Even when they have shotguns.

Doesn't that Quarian on Ilium mention having a (somewhat bad) relationship with a human for a short time (stalker Shepard listens in obviously)

Speaking of which: Fleet and Flotilla. (Turian and Quarian)

I think non-quarian to quarian relationships are more common than most people think.
I don't think Shepard will get much strife from non-humans for being with Tali.

EDIT: minor changes.

You also have to think things through while having a relationship with one. Compensate for the not always possible physical contact.

And you don't have to worry about getting your quarian girlfriend knocked up.Posted Image

I get this kind of "parasite" vibe from the asari.

But yeah, Shepard's relationship with Tali probably won't be a problem for normal humans.

On one hand, non-humans have had hundreds or thousands of years to get used to the idea, since it's something one of the dominant races (the asari) enshrine in their culture.  (just as an aside:  Damn, Vasir, way to make it personal w/ the "pureblood" comment)

On the other, non-humans are probably more likely to have pre-conceived notions about the quarians.

I can see Tali and Shepard getting odd looks if they go out in public. Though whether or not it is because he is with a quarian or because he is COMMANDER ****ING SHEPARD is up in the air.

I imagine quarians might have short flings with other species, but I can't see serious, long-term relationships or marriages happening, unless it were with an exile or runaway, since most quarians don't leave the flotilla.

If they think a human-quarian relationship is odd, they should take a good look at the asari who dates a krogan.

I can just imagine the chatrooms in Mass Effect: Wars between the Tali'n'Shep fans and the Tali'n'Shep haters. Reminds me of something... Can't possibly imagine what.

I said this in the old thread but I still think it's funny:

Tali is the biggest quarian stereotype ever. She begged to get on the Normandy, helped steal the Normandy from the Alliance, and later stole the heart of humanity's greatest hero.

Ah yes, the "sisterhood."

@Spartan:  I, too, believe quarians would make excellent ravers.  Their suits would keep them climate-controlled and properly hydrated.

Currently a WIP of Alex-JR from DA. I like the way he has her arm drawn.

I'm considering using Shep/Tali as a side pairing in a story I'm working on, and I have a question relating to the SB dossier. May I?

Would it be reasonable to assume Tali is a xenophile, rather than this being a case of "It's You, it's Okay?" Is she normally attracted to humans?
