Because his doctor knows everything.

She apparently knows enough that she comes to Shepard and even Cerberus' defense when Tali gets mad and starts accusing them. This is the very same Cerberus that otherwise she'd only know as an enemy who attacked the fleet.

Credit where credit is due, and Cerberus doesn't get any credit for torturing Veetor because they didn't torture him.

Applying harsh methods to get information? I'd say that counts as torture-like interrogation.

Medicine to keep him alive and lucid is not "harsh methods".

Brute force medicine was used. I consider that harsh.

One man's terrorist...

I'd consider it torture too if the pain and mental trauma was a method used by Cerberus to get what they wanted. However it wasn't, it was a side-effect.

Meh. This isn't about Tali.

Tali hates Cerberus and with good reason. They are a nationalist group. And humans are one of the more 'prominent races in the galaxy' (in ME2.) So they are prejudice against quarians (generally speaking.) Just like the council races often are too.

Shame really, seeming though quarians are probably the most talented race.

Cerberus actually deems the Migrant Fleet a threat.

I think that's all true. Though I'm not sure quarians are any more talented than anybody else. What makes you say they are?

What I think is a shame is that the Alliance did use the Battle of the Citadel to form an alliance with the Migrant Fleet. It was an opportunity to gain a true ally (when humanity has none). We should have teamped up with them in the war with the geth with the ultimate goal being to recapture the quarian worlds behind the Veil.

All the ground work for an alliance was there, but nobody was biting.

And yet Cerberus has managed to kill more humans than the Migrant Fleet by far.

The reason the Alliance hasn't teamed up with the Migrant Fleet is because they have nothing good to offer them.

Cooperation in a war with the geth is something to offer. Once they capture their homeworld they can also contract human corporations to help them resettle.

The fact that quarians have actually created a race of synthetics that have developed a conciousness through a shared network. They are geniuses at technology. But unfortunately, most of that genius is spent on surviving on the Flotilla as opposed to benefitting the galaxy.

And yeah, I too think Cerberus are terrorists.

Also, joining up with a race no one seems to like may not have been the best idea....

That's a very naive viewpoint.

The Alliance won't join up with ships that are centuries old and in need of regular maintenance to fight an enemy they know little about.

It would hurt them in so many ways, it's not worth the risk.

Not to mention it would put humanity on the geth's enemy list. Just what humanity needs, huh?

What have we got to lose? Nobody likes us anyway and we still need to fight the geth. Might has well invite the quarians along so they can soak up some of the casualities. Getting rid of the geth would be a long way towards stabilizing the Terminus Systems because we'd be ushering in the return of the quarian civilization. That's a win for us.

They'd need additional protection and help starting their civilization over, and that's where humanity comes in. In return for our continued support the quarians provide revenew and jobs for human corporations.

Regardless of whether that works or not, destroying the geth should have been an Alliance/Council goal and in the pursuit of that goal the quarians would be a natural ally.

We are already on it. Remember the attacks on Eden Prime, Feros, and the Citadel?

And how would the humans get paid for their protection? It's not like the quarians have money like the Alliance does....

I don't normally post here, but there aren't many good reasons to join up with the quarians besides their tech expertise. Sure it might not be popular but the Quarians are geniuses. The allaince could loan them some attack ships and they'd be top of the line in a few weeks to fight the reapers. the geth aren't a problem if you talk to legion enough and/or rewrite the heretics instead of destroying them. Legionlets you send a message to the true geth and they could be used as an alliance with them since they are immune to indoctrination and therefore invaluable against the reapers.

My 2 cents.

Not to mention you've once again successfully dragged this thread off topic again Saphra. This conversation doesn't belong in this thread. That would include my response as well.

They get paid by human interests being developed on the quarian homeworld. The quarians pay our corporations to build infrastructure for them.

I'm sure Tali would agree with me.

There, now it's on topic.

Well, I'd imagine that the geth armada that drove the quarians into exile in the first place is still lurking behind the Veil. And the Alliance already suffered heavy losses during the battle of the Citadel. They have to rebuild and can't show themselves as vulnerable to the rest of the races, which may take advantage of that.

But enough of this. More Tali.

Something we must confront. The Council never wanted to and eventually the armada came to them. Sooner or later they must be dealt with.

And Tali agrees.

Let me rephrase that. The armada that killed billions of quarians.

The Alliance had a hard time fighting off the heretic geth, a very small fraction of their total number.

Going after them head on would be straight up suicide, and I think Tali would agree with that, considering that she knows the geth's strength.
