I don't think this will be the case. The magazine described it as chronic junk-collecting on a global scale.

Kind of an interesting idea...  Maybe the geth are collecting the creators' junk in some kind of bizarre museum-gone-mad.

Perhaps they're going through everything to find out if there's anything of value there.

I can totally imagine some platforms digging through every pile of scrap there is, looking at every piece they're picking up, and then throws it away into a pile they're keeping.

Like Wall-E.^_^

Yep, we don't want to get back there again.

On subject...I'm with Tasha on this one. I hope in the next game we don't have to choose between the geth or quarian. I can see people deciding that for all kinds of reasons and if it's a choice fine, but I'd like to have one choice where you can broker peace....if it's too easy to broker peace, I don't think I would enjoy it however.

I will be upset if getting peace between the Geth and Quarians isn't an option. Difficult, surely, but it shouldn't be impossible. I mean, Shepard CAN set up the first threads of peace in ME2 if he plays his cards right.

Also, I'm always one away from top.  >.<

This it'll be just like when you have to break up the fights between loyal squad members in ME2, but I expect you'll had to have really helped both races in the prior game AND have some high paragon/renegade.

Rannoch must be heaven for quarians with all that junk. Think of all the stuff they can do. :P

Think of all the stuff they could do if they had Cerberus resources °_°

BTW I'd much rather prefer a Geth / Quarian supernice alliance, something like "Ok we made peace, now let's drop the civilians on Rannoch, load the Fleet with billions of Geth and go fighting Reapers"

+1

well I don't think that there could be a friendly peace between quarian (plus all the other species) and Geth.  They are too much, too fast to reproduce, and the universe can't risk a daemographical explosion of heavy weaponed robots that maybe a day could claim a Machine's World...it's just like Krogan and Genophagy...cruel but necessary. I understood why quarians tried to cancel their creations...

As far as I've seen in the games, the true Geth don't want galaxy-wide domination. They want to be left alone. They don't really attack unless attacked.

Or approached. Isolationist to the extreme. However they were complicit in the actions of their brethren.

maybe for now...but in the near future? and after the end of the reaper's threat? they just say in game that they don't know exactly what they want for their future...and however they become more intelligent and dangerous more they are. So what could then protect other species from a geth invasion?

I thought they *only* wanted to build the Dyson sphere somewhere beyond the perseus veil. So as long as they are left alone they shouldn't attack. We aren't talking about the Heretics, who wants the organics dead.

they shouldn't...for now. :? they will be a threat, till they "live". Just like billions of krogan reproducing themselves without genophagy stop.

Firstly, why are you assuming that the Geth will suddenly get to the "conquering" level of ambition?  The asari, turians and salarians are all advanced without the ambition to take everything over.  Probably the humans, too.  Why assume the Geth would be any different?

Secondly, as Mordin said, the krogans were taken from their planet to be used as weapons of war.  Culturally they weren't yet ready to be among the other races of the galaxy.  Wrex is working on changing the krogans.  Granted, it will actually take longer than the time period between ME2 and ME3, I think Wrex can ultimately get the Krogan thinking about things in a different way, able to join with the rest of the galaxy rather than be apart from it.

Getting a race who likes to kick ass and chew bubblegum, to reform with a guy who likes to kick ass and chew bubblegum... seems legit.

I still want to see Tali make up with Legion so they can make me a mini Collosus, ships 'dog'.
