If you used the special speech choice in Mass Effect 2, when Tali confronts Legion about her omni-tool, it seemed like they were able to work together.

Crap. Now I've got this mental picture of Tali's minature Colossus sparring with Ursz the varren in the mess hall and Shepard's space hamster rolling around the floor in a hamster ball, while Tali yells for Shepard to retrieve his hamster before Ursz eats him.......

It's difficult to feel sorry for the Quarians, they knew what they wrought and struck first.
But yeah, the true Geth are not aggressively violent by nature, and I'll be disappointed if a peace cannot be reached between the two.
If I had to pick one to send in first to possibly weather heavy losses against the Reapers, though, it would be the Geth. Though that's as much a commentary on their military prowess as it is the fact that they're synthetics and are more... renewable than organic life forms. I don't know if Reapers can be affected psychologically, but I've got to think that the Geth have a decent shot at it. Given their strength and disinclination towards the Reaper way of existence. So, I want the Geth on my side.

It was a no-win situation, it seems. I believe there were still No-AI laws in effect when the Geth became sentient, so it was either try to wipe them out or face the consequences of creating machines capable of becoming sentient and have the Council try to wipe them out.


Actually, now that I think about it, the Council would just say, "Ah yes, Geth. We have dismissed these claims."

I just hope we get to see a little more into their society in ME3. ME2 gave us a glimpse into the hardships they endure and how they live their life (migrant fleet), but we didn't get to do any trading amongst them or anything big. Im not sure if they have any colonized worlds, but if they do we should get the opportunity to visit one.

Calling the geth an accident for being created is like saying your children are accidents for being born. Trying to kill the geth for questioning their own existence is like killing your own children for not thinking in a way that you like or prefer.

It doesn't matter if the creation of the geth was right or wrong - they exist, and that gives them the right to exist. The quarians of old rather saw the geth destroyed than face the prospect of having to set them free, and the quarians paid the price for that choice. Those who try to oppose the existence of another race, especially their own creations, are the ones that deserve to be unmade, and that is why I will side with the geth.

1 the Geth aren't children, they're rogue machines. If my laptop starts talking to me I'm pulling it's cord.
2 It's fiction bro.
3 The Quarians were right, once word got out they were ostracized from the rest of galactic civilization and prevented from settling on another planet.
4 I don't intend to waste the Geth, once they're all dead or rather deactivated, I'm going to take them apart and figure out how to prevent this in the future.
