It's a fairly old piece (and pardon the lack of polish, it was never my strong side) but it's still largely how I imagine Tali would appear without dat bowl.
Fundamentally humanoid features, but still decidedly alien.

Looks great, liquid. Particularly like the nose.

Hm, not a complete fan of the design, but that is mainly the lack of (whats the word? definition of the face?) I love the ears though.

That is an interesting and risky take on ears, however that is offset by the extremely human face.

So it kinda swaps places with almost all the other fanart in existence. :D

Heh, I thought it was an alright example of not looking too human. Then again based on the outline that we can see of Quarian faces, I personally expected the differences to be something more subtle like that, rather than drasticly changed proportions and such. But a lot of people do seem to picture her as more exotic.
(so, expecting plenty of rage from some people if they do decide on Quarian faces)

Well what I mean by mainly human, is that the example you posted looked like say Faith from mirrors edge. However I understand what you mean. No one is going to be completely happy.

The dev's are damned if they do and damned if they don't. They'll need flame shields either way.

Eww... But the ears are somewhat how I imagined it would look like in a quarian.

I'm mainly picturing just like holes in the sides of their head where ears would normally be.

That would be a nice counter to the elf ears we keep seeing.

Personally thought this one had an interesting representation for ears.

And I do like the short/messy hair look.

This is probably the best interpretation I've seen

Yeah, they will need to be ready for that. I kinda agree with Game Informer's writer Joe Jubba (Wrote ME3's article) where he said in a pod cast that Bioware are better off pulling the "Master Chief" on quarians and not show how they look like.

They talk about Tali towards the end (just their opinions)

A lot (the majority) of people disagree. If I am remembering correctly from the Garrus VA video they are currently adjusting her facial model (with a mention to hair!)

The hair thing was actually Tali's hood. How it changed from being unhooked down her back (I.E long) to kinda propped up to the side of her helmet. (short) From ME1 to 2.

Although it is confirmed they have concepts for her face, and  they are still deciding whether to show it or not.

They said they where working on a few different concepts for Tali/Quarians but they didn't say if they had decided to reveal her cause that's something they hadn't decided yet. They are just working on idea incase they decide too.

They are working on "multiple" concepts for quarian faces and trying to find a balance between what fans want and what they picture quarians to be, basically.

Really, I don't like that Shepard saw her face in ME2. They would have been better off waiting till ME3, show her face, and those who disapprove could break it off and start a new relationship. It would just seem...weird, from a role-playing perspective, to dump her for her face in ME3 when it didn't bother Shepard in 2.

Really as long as she looks relatively cute from an alien perspective, Shepard is keeping his adorably shy Quarian woman.

I mean I 'kinda' agree(as you see I edited that post), I wouldn't mind seeing Talis face and I know I wont be dissapointed. But some people will be and I think Bioware could be better off not showing to avoid the flame. Then again there is those who really want to see her face. They must use a flame shield either way.

That is an interesting point. Though even if Tali looked like a xenomorph, or a swarm of spiders I'd still keep her as an LI. It dat voice man, dat voice.

I myself am hoping they don't Masterchief it, as there is a difference between a character meant to represent the player, and an entire species,

Quick...notify Bioware of this law.

edit: You'll be remembered in the history books for this.

This. But it appears to be only valid for supporting characters. Fortunately for all of us, that is exactly what Tali is!
