ME1 has always been a bit more tedious to me than ME2. I will happily sit down and play through ME2 again. I love both games, I just love ME2 a bit more.

ME1 still holds a better *Atmosphere* to me. That dark, but clean and futuristic look, exploring space in a rover, the list goes on. That said... the actual gameplay is a grind. ME2 just improves the actual *gameplay* aspect.

I really look forward to the deeper rpg features of ME3 though.

Yu da man!

ME1 and ME2 are so different from one another, to me anyway, it takes several minutes to get my head into which one I'm playing so I can enjoy what each has to offer. I do have a personal preference for ME2, but that's just me.

Oh don't get me wrong! I love both games, they have their own special spot in my game shelf. ME1 was, and still is more magical to me. Be it nostalgia, or whatever thats what it is.

However I find ME2 more fun to play. It engages me, combat flows, and *mostly* no tedium. (Glares at planet scanning)

ME2 is more streamlined and mainscreen 3rd person shooter orientated.  ME1 however as you said? I agree 100% on the magic feeling. Its more sci-fi, down to the music itself, the atmosphere of being in the big void of space is present and thats what spurred me to wish i could live long enough to see things like that (crazy as it sounds). Theres alot more background story you have to read up on to understand as well, at least i had to do so lol.

Oh yeah and tali is hotter in ME2 JUST SAYIN

Personally, I'm glad I'll be dead before such technology takes flight. I don't want to be around to see how much worse the government ****s up our country...

On the ME games subject...

To put it simply, The sole difference I felt was that ME2 had a more cinematic feel to it. ME1 felt more like any other good sci-fi game with the exception of setting the stage for a glorified story arc. I'm hoping ME3 will amaze us as much as ME2 did. I want to see more character interactions, not just with Shepard, but with one another. More banter, more humor, more drama, everything that goes with a great cinematic atmosphere.

But most of all...MORE TALI!!!

Replace this with shephard/tali and we're golden. Oh and dead reapers raining down. (if you haven't played starcraft 2 and beat it don't watch. If you don't give two craps watch away). Forward to 1:45

This has been somewhat covered already but I'd like to look at it from a different perspective now. Quarians have zero population growth. In addition to her engineering skills, I'm willing to bet that Tali had a "duty" to contribute to the population after her pilgrimage to ensure there is another generation after her. With that in mind I would think she would have some sort of internal conflict with herself because in essence she's betraying her people to be with Shepherd. I can understand why this wasn't covered in ME2 because everyone was pretty well convinced that the mission was a one way trip, but now that she survived and has time to breathe she might have to deal with some kind of guilt. Does anyone think this should manifest itself in ME3? Should it be a small part of her story or a larger part? I can almost imagine that there will be a choice that sends Tali back to the flotilla to gain quarian support but that's a very far fetched idea. Tali would no doubt have some opinion (possibly five opinions) on the matter. Could be a very interesting plot point.
