Speeching of quarian's ships have you ever noticed how many of them are visible in the Grunt's recruitment mission? I know it's set on "starships' graveyard" planet but I can't imagine the quarians just lefting behing entire spaceships, except in exception circumnstances like the Geth's invasion of the Alarei.
Well I always thought those ships were just dumping garbage on the planet (maybe I read that somewhere too, but I may be wrong). Maybe Quarians aren't the only ones using those ships, they look like general cargo freigters.
IMO If the ships were abandoned, they had to be crashed on the surface like the others.
back to the "ME1 being magic" topic, I totally agree. ME1 atmosphere was awesome. And Tali's reveal too. And dat space battle...

This has been somewhat covered already but I'd like to look at it from a different perspective now. Quarians have zero population growth. In addition to her engineering skills, I'm willing to bet that Tali had a "duty" to contribute to the population after her pilgrimage to ensure there is another generation after her. With that in mind I would think she would have some sort of internal conflict with herself because in essence she's betraying her people to be with Shepherd.
Tali's prominence amongst her people is why I've always figured her relationship with Shepard would not be accepted. Improper behavior for someone of such status.

I think it would be reasonable to assume "cargo freighter's" in the future would follow some sort of standardized design, just to expedite ease of shipping and costs. Tali's people would surely have the easiest access to decommissioned freighter's.

huh. I never noticed it before but the Quarian ships look a lot like Mass Relays. I wonder if the Quarians based their ship designs off of them? I do remember an elevator convo between Liara and Tali in ME1 where she says that Quarian explorers discovered more relays than any other race, so maybe they were very interested in them?
I missed that conversation....oh wait....I didn't take Liara anywhere. Damn.(partly joking)

Anyways back to the topic at hand, if the quarians are unable to get new ships and have to constantly repair the old ones. What happens then if the ship isn't salvageable, its as was mention before, the Quarians are living off of borrowed time. That fleet will start breaking apart slowly.
Saphra also brought up a pretty good point about Tali's behavior, now there's different ways of looking at it, but Tali's feelings for Shephard are going to have to be put on the line as far as saving her people goes. Then again I'm sure after the trial she still has a bad taste in her mouth. Loves a harsh mistress isn't it? lol

Actually, I believe those ships are of quarian design. The Earth freighters are flat and boring. Also, if you recall during Tali's LM, the Alerai was the same shape.jacobOriley wrote...

Now that you mention it, that does seem true. I just didn't know how much of the Migrant Fleet was actual quarian design, like the Alerai.

Of course it was. Why would you think otherwise? Wait....don't answer that.

I did end up with a incredibly cool design all the same but nothing worthy of that circular pattern.
