Though, I think they will make her all of the above. I don't think they will deny such a large fan base the glorious ending we all want. Some Tali/Shep love.

You guys worry too much about no show tali in ME3 lol. Fans IMO can hold ALOT of sway in media.

For example (and i bring this up ALOT because its true), the only reason Boba Fett even survived the sarlaac, cannon wise was because the fans wanted it to be so. We (im one of the fans if you haven't noticed) wanted to know more about him and knew there was more behind the mask than meet the eye. So forward a  few books later (some of which got approved by lucas) its now been established he's alive and blew the sarlaac up from the inside.

Same here, bioware will listen to us. Someone told me it was because of the positive reception to Tali in ME1 she became an LI at all in ME2. I have only played the Mass effect series as far as Bioware games go, but it looks like they listen to their fan group and deliver great products. So no worries guys stay positive. Thats not to say they'll catch a grenade for us (get the reference?), but im sure they care enough to further develop her character.

Hard to say.  They had a number of colonies, though likely fewer just because more worlds are apparently levo, rather than dextro.  The important thing to remember is that they made contact with the Council roughly 0AD.  They've been a spacefaring species for 2000 years!  Their home planet was doubtlessly highly advanced and their colonies probably not far behind.
