Lordy I've been reading that Mass Effect fan fiction "To Survive" by Calinstel all day. My xbox is cold i need to go boot up ME2.

I wish I could take credit for that. Ahh, but this reminds me of a mission I took more than a year ago in some fan thread, can't remember the name, not important. Some human visionary with a fetish for quarians named KFD had the place hopping mad before I showed up. He beat the fellows so hard with his logic that half of them limped away with tails between their legs. They eventually came up with a set of imaginary rules just to shut the radical bas****** up.

Place was never the same since. I hear he writes music now.

Well 2 and a half, infiltrator made me angry face so i quit. Besides i wanted to get rid of ashley as a past romance so i went back to ME1 to sort that right out .

A human visionary with a fetish?, lordy. Guess when you think about it, it does kind of suck that at the end of the it is just a game. You can't help but wish you could exist during that time. Of course with all this hoopla about nanobots and living longer coming about in 2029 or 2040 ya never know.

I'm just heckling you. A lot of people have already played a dozen times and some have played more than 2 dozen times (All Talimances, you know who you are ). I'll get there eventually.

Is it? I wasn't around on the forums when they were waiting for ME2 to come out, but I got the feeling it goes back to that and the overwhelming support Tali had gathered to become an LI. Kind of like the upset around here about the VS survior and their cameo in ME2. I don't know, maybe I'm way off base on that one.

I feel fortunate to have Tali as a squaddie in all three. I'm glad Kaiden/Ashley are back as well, even though my eyes are on the Migrant Fleet.

edit; I had to edit after you corrected your post, but it's not like the other fan's don't have their fan fiction or their "off" humor.

Your probably right. I should mention how I first got on to these boards. On a particualry boring week but after finishing ME2 for the first time, I looked up forums for the game. This came up and so I specified to a Tali Thread... it came up with the old one.

10,000 pages. HOLY ****, I didn't she was that popular!

We support her character because again, Mass effect has basically gone past just being a game to being more of an interactive movie. The story is VERY deep, to the point a new comer like me still has to ask questions ALOT regarding details. I'm no hardcore tali fan believe me (no that honor belongs to BOBA), but i like her enough to the point id like to see how things turn out in ME3 between her n Shephard as well as the Quarians in general. She just has a good character and IMO is the best LI option for shephard., but other people can explain it better than me as to why.

Not to mention, theres something rather idk interesting about being with an alien. Its different and Mass effect (in my sci fi experiences) is the first to bring that idea to light. To be honest would i get with an alien? I'd give it a try. If their physiology wasn't far off from ours why not? Call me wierd, but thats just my take on it. Mass effect itself just puts one very clear point across. Space is vast and to be able to explore it at your discretion would be absolutely breath taking.

At the end of the day people know she doesn't exist and as long as all things are in moderation there's really no problem. Thats my wall of text about it, believe me i have NEVER felt this way about any game before.

Yep, that's what I'm talking about. There's still a lot of Tali fan hate, but I see it for the other character fan's as well. I still say one of the things that Bioware did right was to create a group of character's that generate such strong reactions. In Tali's case maybe they really hit the nail on the head.

Just throwin this out there, but in physics there's this theory of all possibilities.  Essentially expressing that there's a realm full of infinite bubbles, each bubble being its own universe.  We are, of course, one of those 'bubbles'.  Because 'infinite possibilities' encompasses every scenario, that means that right now not only is there a universe out there where Master Chief is crushing The Flood,  but there's also a universe where shepard is killing geth scum and getting his talimance on.
