Did you honestly think Casey would spoil tell you Tali's face will be revealed? His response is meant to be read in a teasing manner.  like the crowd rousers at rock shows that say "Are you suuuure you want an encore? I can't hear yoooou!"
If Tali's face will be shown, you can sure as $#!% bet that Bioware won't be telling you beforehand.

Top pic of Tali dancing!

Don't make the mistake of thinking Big Guy = Slow Guy.

I took martial arts for 10 years.  One of the fastest guys I ever seen was 6 ft 3 inches and about 30 lbs overweight.  Strong as all hell and so quick he could almost circle around you and punch you in the back of the head before you even so much as moved.

And now I have another unwanted albeit badass image of Grunt

I see what you mean, I played football with a 230 lb guy that was blazing fast, but it still seemed unnatural. Grunt wasn't naturally conceived, so i'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but if you can't outrun a krogan, then I need to rethink everything I believe in :D

@Evil Sarevok

I understand. Evil was not allowed to endure when we couldn't ally with Saren when the offer was given

Revealing Tali's face now would be cheap. It would be pure fanservice.

The thing is, the time to reveal Tali's face has come and gone. The best time to do it was when she first revealed it to Shepard.

I'm going to be irritated if they give in to the 'fans' and show her face now.

Did you consider that maybe Bioware didn't want Tali's face reveal to be romance exclusive? Did you consider that the best time for the unveiling is in ME3, perhaps when Rannoch is retaken? Tasha opened my eyes to that very real possibility, and until we actually play the game, you should be more open-minded.

Erm... Hello there fellow Talimancers and Talifans... Been lurking around since registering and finally decided to drop by and say hello...Posted Image

Regarding the discussion at hand, I throw my lot with those who are "indifferent" to a face reveal in ME3, I'll be happy whatever BioWare decides to do...
After all with Tali's character it's always been a matter of personality: most good characters have depth and an apealing personality, but this personality usually mainly revolves around a specific dominant point, what I liked about Tali is that her personality appears to be peculiarly well rounded.

I don't mean to imply any of the other characters is anything less than awesome (BioWare excels at making wonderful characters), but I was amazed by the way she could be at times shy and insecure, at times tough and determinate and at times nerdy and quirky and not feel out of character in any of those instances... I always found this pretty refreshing and her character one of the easier to empathize with...Posted Image

I'm thinking that's the way most people, in this thread at least, see the character; Someone they can empathise with.

Greetings, human. You have some good insight so I think you'll fit in just fine. I agree Tali is indeed surprisingly well-rounded, and I like most of the quarians we meet because I expect them all to have a cross-armed "poor me" attitude, but instead they are usually strong, independent individuals who still maintain a concrete loyalty to the Fleet. They don't express that they deserve anything even if they resent the council for all the discrimination against them.

Tali is truly special because she is seemingly ordinary in the grand scheme of things, but she won't settle with the card life has dealt her. She puts the all-important quarian tradition of finishing her Pilgrimage on hiatus to help you stop Saren, even though she knows the Fleet won't value that contribution as legitimate. She says she hopes to find something to bring back to the Flotilla, but tells you to deal with Saren first.

And she doesn't stop there, she stays with the Normandy to clean up the random geth scattered after Soveriegn's attack. You die, and she finishes Pilgrimage whether you get her the geth data or not. Then she takes a leap of faith and joins an undead Shepard who's being sponsored by terrorists who infiltrated the Fleet and killed innocent quarian civilians. Why? Because there are bigger problems out there worth dying to fix. I don't know how this quarian saw the sincerity in Shepard that made her believe in you when actual humans like Ashley and Kaiden didn't, but I'm glad it worked out like this, and she is aka Miss vas Normandy, now :D

The fact that someone so small, with such an inherently weak immune system, can rise above their disability with that much spirit, is so awe-inspiring that I can't help but love that brave little quarian.

DISCLAIMER: I realize she's a fictional character in a video game. A very moralistic and insightful one.

And I agree with all you said, the quarians seem to have a remarkable will to live... As if a fire was driving them... It's difficult not to admire and respect such a thing, at least in my opinion...
I've yet to see a quarian showing despair at their shortcomings, guess they are wise enough understand that doesn't help in the least...

BTW what do you mean if I can understand it? XD

Ken does seem like a downer, but you'd be crazy to be optimistic in that situation. He does jump right back into his Pilgrimage if you help him out, tho ^_^

I've seen the face that Bioware will use for Tali in ME3 and know she looks like Kate Beckinsale. I didn't know you saw it, too ;)

Lol! Well, at least your entry must have been more seamless than mine... And indeed, that's exactly what I think too...
Besides, there's a lot of nice fan fiction and fan art regarding Tali out there to form a proper opinion...

Now I had a question for the people here, if you will indulge me...
We already know from the GI interview that the Quarians are preparing for war to retake Rannoch, we also more or less know that the conflict between Geth and Quarians will be a stepping stone in deciding to what extent those factions will help with the war against the reapers...

Starting with the statement that this scenario could be different if you pushed for peace in ME2, and even considering that if there's the option to barter for peace and get both factions I'll take it (even if it'll be hard), my question is as follows...
IF you end up siding with the Geth (and not "just because", but due to important factors), how do you think Tali would take it (especially if she is your LI)?
I'm interested to hear what you think for the sake of argument... Posted Image

Oh she'll probably leave your ass unless.....SHE TAKES OFF HER HELMET AND WAS A GETH THE WHOLE TIME!! *ahem*. Anyways  i had brought something like this up before. If it does get to the ugly point where you have to side with one or the other (for any two races) im sure you get varying perks. Maybe with the Geth you have access to high powered weaponry as well as good equipment in general. Where as the Quarians give you better abilities/shields/skill boosts etc.

If push came to shove and i wasn't a tali fan? You can't pass up a large synthethic army who has probably the best equipment out of all the races (second to the reapers), but of course my inner paragon wouldn't fly with condemning a living race so I'd help the Quarians in the end regardless probably.

first of all you are welcome here
interresting question
if tali understand that this are the "good" Geth that just want to understand
I think she will understand, maybe. (every child did mistakes)
just my opinion
but why choose aside I mean with legion you have a terminel to the Geth so maby Tali can deal with them and...you know

Can a MACHINE lie what do you think?

I would like to see her face at some point, but i won't be dismayed if BioWare decides not to show it.

I've said this before to folks about Tali: She is the most important companion in ME1. Ashley and Kaidan have their LI roles but lets face it they're both kinda boring, and if it weren't for the Virmire quest they would be overshadowed by all of the alien characters. Garrus and Wrex are completely optional, no matter how much they add to the ME Universe. Liara gives the facade of being important but you don't need her to help you decipher the beacon, or even have her confront her mother on Noveria (even if it does add drama to the moment).

With out Tali's data Shepard would be stuck, and likely dead. Her insistence on helping Shepard with his mission, and later in ME2 showing more trust than Ash/Kaidan, to me make her far more important to Shepard personally (regardless of LI status, I mean just as a friend/comrade in arms/etc.), a status only Garrus shares.

Personally I also find her background story to be the most interesting. A high ranking father who places work above emotional attachment. A race who sends their young out to explore the galaxy and find ways to improve the fleet. The Quarians are barely surviving in space, with no home planet for nearly 300 years, after creating artificial life forms that rose up against their masters. Then the Quarians are shunned by the rest of the galaxy! Thats the kind of stuff entire games and movies are made of and it's just the backdrop for Tali.

Regardless of wether or not you like her personality, or favor her as an LI, Tali to me is the best character outside of whatever you make your Shepard out to be.

Do you really get to "side" with the geth? Seems you will only be able to "allow" the quarians to destroy themselves by militarily invading them, but you don't necessarily know that, so it won't look like you're siding with the geth. I would have to forget that the geth are only caretakers for Rannoch, and that a peaceful solution was possible. I guess I would hand Legion over to Cerby, so that I could be ignorant and tell Tali that this is about the pride of her people, and the possibility of extinction fighting for their homeworld is more acceptable than being whipped by the slaves they created and living pitiful lives on some other planet like a punished dog.

I'm imagining Tali's rage as Shepard tells her this and it's terrifying. Her passionate anger when you push for war on the Alarei was already pretty scary for me, and doing so again with the war imminent gives me chills. She has the sense that you may need the Fleet against the Reapers, so I think she'd dump your ass for not seeing the big picture. She is prejudice against the geth, but cares more about saving the galaxy.

Shiala would have been just as helpful (if not more).

And I agree about the plot relevance. Mordin of ME2 is the Tali of ME1.

I hear you, I'll probably reach a similar conclusion in my game... I was just curious to hear what you all thought Tali reaction could be to such a shoking situation, for lack of a better term...
She always shows her undying loyalty to her people, she is deeply committed and I'm sure such a decisionlike that would not fly well with her (though I heard that if you get her exiled she is very critical of the path her people have taken, but it might just be the heat of the moment... You know, a fresh wound, being rejected by what's practically her whole world, plus her father is dead)...

On the other hand she knows and trusts (unless you revealed her father's crime) Shep, and if he's her lover and brings up a reasonable motivation for his choice she'd be in a bit of a pinch, a situation I hope I'm not forced to put her through... Seriously, I hope I can barter for peace... :(
