I know. Maybe once ME3 comes out and we know exactly what each consequences are relevant, and after I've played 25 or 30 times and am exhausted with so many "good" playthroughs, I will do a fail-run or idiot-run. Until i'm tired of these games, I don't see the point. My sympathies go to the people who are that bored, tho. I know it's been more than a year, but I'm a long ways away from bored, even though I do the same thing every time lol

Turning in the evidence? Siding with Legion? Getting Tali or Garrus killed? I won't be the same person I am now when that happens.

In all fairness to my idiot Shep, he didn't do any of those things. My head would explode. The geth data did hurt though.

Hey thread ^_^
I was thinking about renegade or Idiotic playthorugh but couldn't force myself to do it. Some things would be just unbearable to me.

Then he isn't a proper idiot Shep! You're still human!

Formis! Good to see an ol' veteran lurking about :D Before ME2 even came out I failed. I started my ultra-renegade and killed Shiala execution style and that was the end of it. Game over, man!

First ME2 playthrough Mordin died on me. I wasn't even fully aware that I loved the guy until that happened. Unbearable. Now I'm supposed to purposefully kill these people for science or fun? LOL what am I Cerberus?

Really though, I think the accidental failure is a blessing in disguise. My brother played only one time, asked me who to choose so he wouldn't fail, and because of that, he said the suicide mission was a pushover and didn't really get attached to the game. I'd suggest at least starting an ultra renegade playthrough just to have the perspective, but you are no doubt fully aware of the possibilities :P

@Gust4v

There's a huge difference between watching those decisions happen and initiating them yourself. Hovering over that option like the trigger of a gun pointed at the cutest puppy you ever saw...it makes you fully aware of your own morality. Doing anything you wouldn't ever consciously do, is more terrifying than I'd like to admit. And when you go back and do the right thing, you feel that much better about it.

Goat, good some well known people are still here, keeping the place up.B)
I don't know if it was fate or I'm good at it but I managed to do my first Suicide Mission without casualties.
Or at least not in the Team, lost half of the crew though.:?
And after that killing those people on purpose for fun or science? Couldn't do that because I don't find it fun and science is not worth that.
The possibilities are there but out of my moral range, I just can't act like a dick Shep to everyone, wouldn't get past Freedom's Progress.:crying:

My renegade playthrough was going swimmingly until I got to that dying salarian on Thane's recruitment mission.

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't leave that paragon interrupt there. It just felt so heartless to watch that salarian die

Ohh, poor Veetor. Tali is wise beyond her years. Wish I could say the same for Miranda/Jacob.

Tali: "He needs medical attention, Shepard"

*Shepard holds up omni tool with medigel ready*
*Paragon interrupt flashes*
*Shepard skips it and lowers omni tool*

Shepard: "Ahh, too late, he's a goner."

Tali: "He can be saved, Shepard!"

Shepard: "Nono, he'll be stone dead in a moment".

Salarian: "I'm not dead..."

Shepard: "You're not fooling anyone"
-----------------------

Seriously, he holds up his omni tool all teasingly. I couldn't help but laugh at the thought of skipping the interrupt.

ME 1, most of my playthroughs were as femshep, that way NO Ashlymance but I could still talk to her for full story.
Then ME2 came along.......  Many malesheps in ME1 now.   :)

I didn't really want to hear this, since I was going to start a femshep play from 1 thru 2...and I don't think I can do it with only the possibility of a Tali gal pal in 2.

I just went back to see how bad my idiot shep was and......I never took him past horizon.  I guess I couldn't do it, even for sh*ts and giggles. So.....start another maleshep in ME1, dodge the Ashley/Liara bullet and stay celibate until 2....I haven't played in months....

Yes, I think we have a winner.
