Seriously tho, if you can't have a platonic love playthrough, you won't be able to do anything but a Talimance, and that is severely limiting your potential, commander! Fight it!

I just went back to see how bad my idiot shep was and......I never took him past horizon.  I guess I couldn't do it, even for sh*ts and giggles. So.....start another maleshep in ME1, dodge the Ashley/Liara bullet and stay celibate until 2....I haven't played in months....

Yes, I think we have a winner.

Hah! Nice. Just remember to go "You're out of line!" when Ashley talks about Vakarian and Wrex.

It saddens me that Femshep's performance goes unheard due to the lack of a charcters romance being available to her. it's damn shame. Personally I like Tali's friendship better than romance Tali. even if she does lead femshep on with the suit thing.

Agreed, I feel such a great connection between the two. I hope they bring the friendship connections to a deeper level in ME3, not just the romances.

The "suit thing" is not necessarily sexual at all, since Tali's mother and Shala'Raan linked suits to be in the same environment together. I can easily see a lesbian taking this the wrong way, though, and that's unfortunate for them. When my football coach slaps me on the ass, I don't assume he wants to have sex with me, but I'd understand a misinformed person coming to that conclusion

I meant that Garrus is there to romance as femShep. The only reason I will ever play femShep is to romance Kaiden, Garrus, Thane, and Jacob.  They give me a reason to play a female, and that's really awesome of Bioware. Otherwise I would only ever play maleShep. Know what I'm saying?

I'm in the same boat.

There are more reasons why I don't play with femshep, but Tali is the principal.

I only romanced Tali for 4 straight playthroughs because that was the only romance for me, no others would compare, even if I knew little about them. Tali's was too perfect. Until I realized I was not only missing content, but I was trapping myself into an ideal that somehow Tali NEEDED to be romanced in order for her to be happy. 

It wasn't until I romanced Jack that I found out how perfectly fine Tali is without you as a lover. We were actually good friends, which I can't say for Jack when I'm with Tali. Tali is an incredibly understanding person, and by not romancing her I discovered the magnitude of how independent she truly is. I think you do Tali a great disservice if you don't respect her individuality. JMHO.

One play for each of these: Bachelor,Jack,Miranda,Kelly(Doesn't really count). And If Tali asks I'll deny everthing !

Tali makes a great comrade and friend. Honestly Jack was spooky, but tender in the end. Miranda was.....ok(sorry Miranda fans, it's just me). Kelly is like taking the stripper home.

It's a wide playing field in the game if you chose, but my favorite playthrough's no matter the class played almost always include our favorite combat engineer.

Well, obviously. You find that out all the way back in ME1, and at least as early as Freedom's Progress in ME2. I'm talking about the magnitude of her individualism. I myself used to hold the notion that Tali is down there in engineering, pining for you, and not returning that affection was cruel. It's not, and I wanted to express that in my post for anyone who feels the same way that I did.

I didn't say that, I just couldn't imagine romancing Miranda or Kelly. Actually, those two are a couple of the more "safe" options. I like Tali, Jack, Morinth, and Sigrun. I might have a bit of a death fetish

What can I say. Tali's character really got to me. Seldom do I find a game character so well written.

And so well voiced I know I'll end up with as many as you. With my bad ADHD, I never played a game more than once because they couldn't capture my attention after that initial run. Until I discovered Mass Effect.
