But the unknowns so far are enough for me if they'll be uncovered at least partly at some point.

The Reapers don't, but those that created the Reapers could trigger a deep emotional response from me if the story is intriguing enough.

On an aside, I just realized something in that Twitter post:

A) Casey says there are no new LI.

B) Casey says don't believe everything you hear.

So we shouldn't believe everything he says, right? So we SHOULD believe everything he says?

So, there's been many tweets lately about new romances in ME3 from Casey and the like.

Would you like if Tali is bi in ME3?

To put it plainly and bluntly:

NO

Agreed. But I suspect there's going to be quite a bit of tilting at windmills coming out of this. Let's hope they stay consistent with their portrayal of Tali.

........What signs are there of her being straight, too? Exactly, none. (Except they allowed maleShep to go deeper with their relationship.)
She doesn't show any specific attraction to either sexes...So...Yeah, nothing's going to change.

I have a theory that Reapers actually created themselves.
An amazingly advanced race, driven by motives we yet cannot comprehend has chosen this way of existence.
I think the harmony those minds inside a Reaper must live in to act as one being is what some people would call a paradise. Not a place but a state of mind or soul. But it also means to give up your individuality which is something we value the most. So they decided to force us into that state.
The theory's  got some holes and is crazy but I like it :D

Paradox you say... I'm lucky to have no brain to explode B)

Don't think that logic is very valid here. There's no indication wheter all of the others are hetero or bi or ******.

Just the same fact that some romances happen and others don't. I'd take that as an indicative of their preferences.

She follows the exact same relationship path with male and female Shepards up until the point where it advances into romantic territory with males. And that they had the dialogue for a lesbian Shepard to continue into the romance with her, and yet knowingly removed it from accessible gameplay. So, it seems a fair bet to say she wasn't intended to be gay in ME2.

It seems like "all of a sudden I am bi" would be inconsistent with the character's writing.....

As said before, Tali being romanced by a female Shepard isn't going to invalidate her character, or your romance with her on your Male!Shep. If you don't like it, just don't do it man.

She gets awfully stuttery around my Shepard.

Hah! I first entered this thread to you and KFD having an epic debate about the morality of the Justicar code. You can't fool me! :D

Seriously tho, that's a pretty deep theory. Anything can happen.

Not necessarily true. Male and Female Shepard seem to have the same script - that's why you get stuff like this. They didn't necessarily remove it so much as not implement/write it to begin with.

Yes I would. It would be an interesting twist to her character and that way my femshep could take her up on her offer to link suits should she want to.Posted Image femshepxTali should prove to be awesome.Posted Image

I wonder if there will be more interaction with the LI like in ME2 (inviting them into your room n such). Maybe squad mates will comment on the romance or crew will make small talk.

Cutting it off while it being present in the first place should speak for itself. They didn't have s/s romances in ME1 (They also cut lots of stuff out from that), so they just continued the trend in ME2. There is nothing that is said about her sexuality at all. She doesn't say "I like males and males only"...Then again, no one really does, except maybe Jack. That is why the opportunity for bisexuality is always open, and will be in ME3.

Admitting you're attracted to another species is hard.

Admitting you're attracted to another species that is the same sex as you must be like, Super Ghosts N'Goblins hard.

I'm aware, and it seems fairly likely that's the case. But the point is, they had everything they needed right there and chose not to use it. As far as I'm aware, all that's needed to access the Tali romance as a female Shepard is to switch out the audio files and change Shepard's sex with a game editor.

Whatever. I don't support it, whatever the reasons.

But Bioware will make the game it wants to make, whatever my opinion.

It's not like I'm ever going to romance Tali with femshep anyway. I don't like playing as femshep.

@Silent: I'm gonna swing for the fences here and guess you have a very vested interest in homosexuality becoming more mainstream. In which case, I don't think we'll ever agree from a moral standpoint on changing Tali's sexuality.

@Collider: Context of the conversation.

@mrsph: They're on a presumed suicide mission.

@mike: Yep. What will be will be, we can only hope for the best. And I hear you on that last bit, heh.

It won't if they have some unique dialogue in ME3 where Tali explains why you couldn't romance her in ME2. Something like this is imo grounds for invalidation:

1: Tali is straight in ME2
2: Tali is bi in ME3
3: ???
4: Profit

But if it does happen, I suspect it will be well written. So Rune, you don't have to leave ;)

Not really. If Tali is bisexual, and femShep shows interest, there's no reason it would be any more difficult of an admittance than with maleshep because both relationships are taboo in quarian culture.

Not completely. Many of the audio files are missing, and there is no "dashing commander" comment (which is the only thing gender specific in Tali's romance so far as I know) recorded from Tali for a female Shepard.

Oh yeah? How much is intact?

Oh, no 'dashing', that must mean she only finds men attractive! Heh, just kidding.

1. Responding to Tali's statement about trust with "I feel the same way" "It's too dangerous" or "I don't feel the same way"
2. Talking to Mordin about the relationship with Tali
3. Talking to Liara about the relationship with Tali

It's about the same amount that it's in the files for F/F Jack and F/F Miranda.
