I probably just read it wrong, I apologise in advance if I have. But I hope your not trying to call me a troll because I have a diffenent opinion to you?
No, that was in response to ADLegend21's attempt to throw back the "I'm not trolling, you are" thing. But all I've heard is the same arguments, over and over again, and they keep getting the same responses, and will continue to keep getting the same responses. Hence the topic is futile and better taken elsewhere, like the S/S thread; which was created for that very reason, to give you the opportunity to voice you opinion on S/S romances.
I know you don't think she should. But you agreed yourself that the dialogue is open to interpretation.
I also said it's more open to interpretation one way than it is the other. Like for example I can use the very same piece of 'evidence' you posed, that video, as my own response against it. What you need to do is look at what is in the game. What is in the game is Tali and male Shepard. There is no argument there. You've agreed before.
And as I've said before, me not wanting Tali to be bi has nothing to do with her being bi, it's about changing what she already is, changing something that people have come to see, know, adore and love. If you change that, you take away everything that anyone ever knew about that character.
In ME1 she was a plot device, she didn't even get a spot on the cover, unlike Garrus who was an optional addition. In ME2 her romance came out, due to people asking for it. Her character is what most people are attracted to, because obviously you can't see what she look like; It was this point that people became attached to her even more than they already were, since her personality really shone and her romance topped it off.
Now people want to change that, take away everything that makes her who she is
now, make her something different. You don't see how that would upset the fans that she has because of who she is
now? People who think they know her character?
If Bioware choose not to go down the path in ME3, thats fine. Tali still the same and she will always be a close friend.
Then that's settled, Tali can be a close friend with no negativity for not being bi.
Thank you for settling that.
Maybe people can keep further S/S discussions to the S/S thread where it would be more welcome.
I'm with Troodon and Flasheart on this one though.
Aye. And I'm with quite a number of other people. But no one needs to argue about this.
