The woman that plays Tali's "aunt" Shala'Raan vas Tonbay's voice (Soreh Aghdashloo) is in the season finale of House today. :)

Hi, I'm like... another Tali fan <:D
Nice to meet you all /bows

SO talking about Tali, and talking about her towards ME3, here's one thing I'm sure DOZENS of people have already discussed, and talked about; I would love to see Tali much more prepared in the next game, much more let's call it "pro", Tali is by far, when it comes down to "experience" the most young asset on Shepard's team,

*massive text snip*

, making her lethal in combat, much more efficient, she knows her place now, and she's not going to be easy to take down, Mr Reapers.
/insert ME1 theme here

Welcome to Tali's place 'alx', sorry about the massive text snip, but I highlighted the part I needed. I've been do another play thru and I'm more convinced now that is fresh.....

If a player equips Tali with the best eguipment, upgrades and armor in ME1, she is a "combat bear" !! I just let her and Wrex loose on the Rachni and Benezia's  asari commandos and I was starting to feel bad for the other side. If she can stand toe to toe with a Krogan and hold up her end, I'm not sure if she can be more Pro.

I am hoping they give her and the rest of the squad the combat abilities in ME3 that they had in ME1. I do hope like you to see her mature even more, but I'm pretty happy with her now.

Nice idea. I think Tali definately already has the mind set to take on any combat situation, though her combat experiance is certianly less than squadmates like Garrus who focus mostly on combat. That said, stand up fights were never really Tali's speciality. She makes up it with her tech skills, becoming something of a support class that compliments the direct attackers in Shepard's squad. Her knowledge of engineering and hacking prowess also make her useful to the mission in ways a simple soldier could never be.

I like the way she's confident in conversation but with not a gruff soldier personality, it makes her so much more endearing. Tali's cheerful, confident and vunerable at the same time.
I do expect her character to develop more in ME3, but right now just about everything about her is already great. Personally, I don't want Tali won't go all "stone cold killer" on us like Liara did.

She won't end up like that, Liara's been through a lot to make her come out the way she did. Tali's with us 'til the end, which is why I don't see much more character developement from her. Not that it's a bad thing, we love Tali for who she is right now. Then again, we might go back to Rannoch and who knows what will happen then...

@SilentNukee, good points, I agree that it takes a very harsh set of circumstances to force an outgoing personality to change into something much more defensive. Although it could happen, I doubt that will in the timespan between ME2 and ME3, so suprise personality shifts are unlikely for all characters (yay). But yes, I think Rannoch is going to bring some heavy emotions for all parties invovled (except the Geth :P).

That takes me back to the Gymnastics classes I used to have when I was younger. The instructer would tell everyone to get into that position on their backs and put our legs as straight and high into the air as possible, apparently as a balancing exercise. Tali's form could be better, but I don't think she's all too fussed about that right now. Posted Image

In mass effect 1 she never left my squad. She could disrupt shields, sabotage weapons, negate biotics and tech, a huge boost to her shields, could repair the mako, and had AI hack (which was far more useful in ME1 since all enemies are geth). She was a one-man-army who could easily take on her own. I loved her character. Smart yet wanting to learn more.

When Tali joined the group in mass effect 2 - I was hugely disappointed in her abilities. Yes, I felt like her character was fleshed out. She became a commander of her ship and was in charge of a crew. She really grew as a character. However, because you get her so late game she had an almost non-existent presence. I don't mean to say this to fight w/ fans. But..in my opinion, its true.

Tali was overly specialized in ME2. Because of that, she became a useless squadmate which thoroughly disappointed me. AI hack, and energy drain, while useful, are not needed for enemies who are not synthetic (which are most enemies) and enemies who do not have shields. Her drone had a long cooldown that really detracted me from using it.

Needless to say, I was so bummed when I FINALLY got her - way late game. She was, absolutely, my favorite character in ME1. I hope they restore her to her former glory. Maybe not make her so overpowered but at least don't make her so cripplingly specialized to fight an enemy. I do have to say she was a character who really stood out in comparison to others in ME2. From the get-go she was tough saying something to the effect of loaning a grenade and that she's there for shepard. The trial was amazing and really represented her well and the emotional side of her.

I can't see that Twitter picture but I can guess....

Anywho, I was just wondering, what are people's opinions of Fan-Fics which put forward the idea of Tali living outside the suit/ having kids with Shep, due to some medical/genetic genius of Mordin or something similar.

Most people don't support either. I'm totally cool with both, though. Sci-fi power!

Personally, I'm against such a magical cure to the procreation issue. In fact, in my playthroughs, Tali never takes the whole suit off. To me that undermines the relationship, or rather not taking the suit off adds an element of depth.

Plus a human and quarian making babies is quite literally impossible in every sense of the word. Why? DNA and RNA. If you know how actual human procreation works you know that the sperm and egg combine and 23 chromosomes of human DNA come from each parent to form the DNA of the child.

How exactly is that in any way possible of one parent's DNA is dextro and the other's isn't? You just can't.

I can see taking the suit off, maybe not all the time, because eventually their immune system will sort of adapt again to where ever you take her if you live there long enough. (Maybe, anyway.) Having kids, however, well to be honest, probably won't ever happen. It can't happen and it won't for a reason. Adopt? That's not out of the question.
