And yes, batarians are described in revelation as having soft fur like hair on their heads. You learn a lot about batarian culture in that book. And more about quarians in Ascension

The books and the concept art do not show hair.

Actually I -THINK- in one of the videos about the making of of ME3, they showed some concept art for Garrus in ME3, and also commented a little on Tali, saying that it was going to be a really hard job for them to actually show her face, since the fans have already made a lot of fan art, and they all looked fantastic, but he also said that the face was still a WIP throughout the series, and now they find themselves in a backalley because they would like to not disappoint anyone xD

What I meant was that in the fanart, the undone veil created the illusion of long hair. And the undone drapes around her hips mad it look like a blanket. It's almost like it should be naked but it isn't. Meh, makes sense in my head anyway
