That would be nice.
But I have doubts as they apparently (could be wrong, but this is what I think I remember hearing) want to reintroduce the existing love interests. Although that in itself can be achieved by the genesis-like comic for ME3 that they will available for new players/new Shepards. Hopefully they won't make the comic so terrifyingly off this time.

I hope that me too... we'll see I suppose. As Collider said there's the comic too, where pick up a LI from the previous games, if wanted, so I don't think it is impossible. After all in the beginning of ME2 your ME1 LI cames to you when the Normandy is attacked, it would be so hard giving a pair of dialogues to the ME2's LI during the trial in the same way?

For Tali&Shep probably don't change nothing, but I imagine that it will harder deal with the quarians, and that maybe that retaking Rannoch will only redeem Tali from her accuses, while if she wasn't exiled that should be enough to give her the necessary pushover for become an Admiral in the ending of the game, assuming she'll survive to the final battle.

As for the ME3 re-recruiting, I hope this don't take it long <.< Tali and other sqaddies recruitment missions were fantastic but we had enough of them in ME2...

I agree. They WERE awesome, although we could have recruited Tali and Legion MUCH more sooner (god you can only enjoy Legion if you survive with him in the final battle =( ). But I doubt we'll have to deal with them in such a deep way, I expect more like ME1, when you didn't have to leave the citadel to recruit all but Liara. ANd it'd make sense, since the crew should be nearby waiting for Shepard to come out of the trial. Perhaps dispersed because of the Reapers and whatnot, but near nevertheless.
AS for Tali, I hope as well, that her being a LI effects in game, and that at least, she's the one closest to Shepard. If she's not already inside with him. I truly hope she'll help him, but I see the humans being dicks about it, in my head quarian > human

her head is a bit big in this picture. Besides that, kudos to the talented Michelle R.  Tali looks so adorable even when doing inane things like sitting. :3

Garrus: Flying & gold fringe (super saiyan?), dual wielding pistols w/lazers against husks*

*This never actually happens in-game, all of the husks you fight were on Eden Prime, I'm pretty sure.

Also calls Tali a fugitive on the run, which is technically true because Saren (a spectre at the time) was after her, but is still a misrepresentation because it doesn't specify why she's a fugitive. Most new players, I would guess, would assume she's a criminal of some sort running away from respectable law.

Heh, fighting is different in comics, where jumping in the air while everybody sprays wildly is a good idea.
I do like dual wielding though, but Tali needs a hand free to work her omni-tool and toss her non-existent grenades.

Because running away the second Shep isn't there and doing whatever doesn't really sound like something she'd do. Especially when the ship is her home.

Oh, wait, thats Tali and Garrus? I swore those was some other comic in the illusive man ones featuring a quarian and turian for a panel.

Agreed. Since the Normandy is home, I would hope she wasn't removed for 'some reason', but we'll see.

I've been doing a "casual" ME1 play just to do Tali screen capture's and use flycam and this shot came up. It shows very well the quarian "place holder face" apparently used for Tali. This is not doctored at all.

I don't think that we'll spend much time again in recruiting/taking back the squad this time. I'm positive that she'll be with Shepard since the beginning, or immediately after the Shep's trial.

The best thing would be if she and the rest of the squad picks Shep up in the shuttle and then flies to the Normandy, which took off when the Reapers attacked and is waiting in orbit or somewhere safe.

Yup. Or eventually Shepard could ask to Liara to shelter on the SB's base the squadmates who decided to remain with him/her, so we'll pick up Liara and the others in one time. In that case it would be nice if there will be a shor farewell between Shep and the ME2's LI... not something hudge, a pair of dialogues like between Shep and the ME1's LI when the Normandy is attacked by Collectors.

The parallels are especially funny if you consider that John Stewart/Green Lantern was a Marine and then went on to join an elite intergalactic police force.
And Hawk Girl is also an alien whose face you never get to see up until that scene.

Yes.

They're going to dissasemble it, poke around a little, put in some new upgrades like a few new rooms and then reassemble it. With new color and everything.
