Aren't they going to be upgrading it/repainting it?

Yes.

They're going to dissasemble it, poke around a little, put in some new upgrades like a few new rooms and then reassemble it. With new color and everything.

...please let there be a clean room :?

I bet EDI won't be happy about it. So many people tickling his body, dismembering her... Oh god SOMEONE HAS TO STOP THEM!

But for reals, I wonder what's going to be the looks of the Normandy after the upgrades, and what I wonder the most is what will Tali say about it, in ME2 she had to say that Cerberus did a damn good job with the Normandy, I wonder if the Alliance will make it better, or worse in the eyes of Tali.
I also look forward to see Engineer Adams (hope he'll be back x3) and see the interaction with Tali :3

I bet the two engineers will be back. Epic banter will be epic.

I guess Tali will get quite mad if she'll be there to see the ship where she live and of she has even the name dissassembled and rebuild all over again.

I foresee Tali hating the "militarization" to the Normandy because they will make all the minute changes she made to the engine to make it more efficient null and so she has to restart the process all over again. Same for Garrus and his calibrations.

It would be funny to see her working with the engineers upgrading the Normandy.

Engineer:
Okay, I think we need a 16 millimeter bol-
Tali: No! You need a 14 millimeter titanium bolt! That has about 500 kilograms worth of strain on it when we pull 4 plus Gs...
*Tali crosses arms*
Engineer: No, we need a 16 mi-
Tali: What you need it a swift kick to the head you bosh'tet. <_<
Engineer: :?

I wonder what Chakwas will say, she missed the Alliance enthusiasm. Hmm

It might irritate her a little, but she enjoy's tinkering anyway.

Only irritated?

There's nothing more important than his/her ship for a quarian, I can't imagine that Tali will calmy let that a bunch of unkown technicians mess up with the Normandy.

I don't know - if it's fitted with new/upgraded technology, she may take interest in that. And I think she'll appreciate that there aren't any cerberus cameras spying around anymore.

Surely she'll be happy of not having anything Cerberus-related mounted on the ship... for the rest, we'll see.

Well, she liked the SR1 a lot, so I don't think there'll be much difference.

I don't think that we'll spend much time again in recruiting/taking back the squad this time. I'm positive that she'll be with Shepard since the beginning, or immediately after the Shep's trial.

I think I read that the Alliance seizes the Normandy at the beginning of the game.

I would expect that to happen pre-ME3, with the ship pretty much finished by the time the trial fiasco is over.

Something I wrote a while back:

This came about while thinking about what Tali's reaction would be if/when the Alliance upgrades the Normandy, with Tali in charge.

*Tali and many engineers are in Engineering and there are huge amounts of activity*
*One engineer is following her around and keeping track of her orders*

Tali: Get those couplings unpacked!
Engineer: Yes Ma'am.
Tali: You three. *indicating other engineers* Get to cargo and help install the X5-35A heatsinks!
Other engineers: Yes Ma'am.
Tali: *indicating a Cerberus logo* Why hasn't that logo been removed yet?
Engineer: It...
Tali: No excuses! I wanted that thing removed hours ago!
Engineer: I... I'll get someone on that right away Ma'am!
Tali: Oh Keelah!
*Tali walks over to another engineer, a techie, who is installing a new Terminal at Tali's workstation and shoves the techie our of the way*
Techie: Hey! What are you...
*Tali takes the screen the techie was installing and yanks it off, the unfinished cabling unplugging from the wall*
Techie: You little... I was almost finished installing that you... bucket-head!
*Tali flips the screen 180 degrees, as it was being installed upside-down*
Tali: *nearly shaking with rage* I can't believe you! Of all the competent people in the galaxy and I end up with a [long stream of cussing in Kelish]... *Tali stops and stares over the Techie's shoulder*
Tali: HEY! *Pushes the Techie aside and walks up to an unknown person* What the hell do you think your doing?
Vega: Uh... Helping?
Tali: *Grabs Vega's arm and pulls it away from the terminal he was working on.* *eye twitch* Tell me... What is your name?
Vega: Lt. Vega *he presses a button on the terminal with his other hand*
Tali: *immediately reaches over and presses another button on the terminal* We need that to live.
Vega Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me, Quarian!

*Upstairs, Shepard, Zaeed and Garrus are watching the scene from security cameras*
Garrus: You should probably go down there Shepard...
Zaeed: That's guddamn suicide!
Shepard: I think she's perfectly capable of handing herself. Besides, look at all the new friends she's making!
*A loud scream sounds from the terminal, Shepard flinches*
Garrus: That... looked painful.
Zaeed: Rookie had it coming.

That was awesome Spartanburger!

Zaeed: Ah! Seeing a Quarian beat up people like that makes me just wax guddamn nostalgic!
Shepard: Why?
Zaeed: Once me and a few boys met this young Quarian Machinist on pilgrimage during a mission... Actually we were sent to capture the ship he worked on as an engine mechanic, everyone but him was dead and he had surrendered. At some point one of the boys wanted to make some money on the side by selling spare parts, so he started taking away pieces of the engine right in front of the Quarian. Everyone died but me... And the Quarian... Damn bucket heads are touchy when it comes to their ships... Heck of a brawl though!
Garrus: Shepard go down there now! I'm no expert of human physiology, but I'm sure your arms aren't meant to bend that way!
Shepard: Going! O_O

Seriously though, I think that as far ar they update the systems and don't deliberately damage the ship she'll be happy to have new toys to thinker with...
That's of course assuming the tech heads of the Alliance will even allow for the crew to remain aboard while they work... Some are aliens, others are technically Cerberus, so...
Maybe good old Anderson can put in a good world (either as Councilor or as Admiral)...

No wonder Tali's not allowed to carry a shotgun in engineering ! There would be fewer rookies....

Had a great meeting to plan some relationship details in #ME3 . Much of your feedback was discussed and will be incorporated.

A tweet from Casey Hudson. I wonder what this means....

I'm not used to a company that listens to their fans, and takes their ideas into consideration, to the extent that BioWare does.

Probably a lot of things. This is one of the most active boards I have ever been on. New threads are open and closed daily, many repeating certain topics but quite a few that are origianal.

Probably not anythig too drastic though. They will be listening much more closely at the E3 demo players than anything else.
