It was my understanding that this was mentioned in the 2nd Mass Effect novel, and also the codex.
It's not like it matters, we are never going to see what she looks like under there.

I'm amazed at how much you seem to know about quarians and what Bioware is going to do in their next game.
Tell me, can you also say what the stock market will be like in a few months?
Should I invest in McDonald's, or Burger King?

I don't believe it was. If it had been, I would think it would be something we would know. Especially us.Shavon wrote...

Ascension says nothing one way or the other about hair, nor does the codex (though feel free to cite the entry, maybe I missed something).Shavon wrote...

Ye of little faith. I trust BioWare to make the right decision reguarding Tali.
Retcon her into an upstanding citizen and forget all about this dangerously unrealistic romance drivel?

I'm mostly concerned about whether the appearance is original.XX55XX wrote...
I remember I was once stated that I actually wanted Tali to be ugly. Yes, I do know what quarians might look like (more humanoid in appearance than anything else), but man, I wish the quarians would look like the Predators. Just for creepiness' sake.

I'd be fine with plain/average myself. It's not really about looks so much.XX55XX wrote...

He was talking about it in relation to stabbing. This factors in the suits.Shadow_broker wrote...
I think it was grunt who stated Quarians had rougher skin than humans, closer to turians which means they likley hahve a turian/drell skin texture rather than a Assari/human texture

He could have been speaking of bone structure or muscle density.
Again. We'll find out.

If I was making a slave race, I wouldn't make them look much like myself. Wouldn't want to feel kinship with them, you know?Adhin wrote...
Yeah lets see, 2 eyes, a nose, most likely a mouth. Her face is flatter. Somehow I'm not seeing massive long curved cyclopes. I think there suit design mimics the elongated heads the Geth have though. I figure that's a heavy design thing they had going with things being rounded, ovals, curved features. Geth Hand/Leg/feet definitely match Quarians to an extent, but again a lot of its function mixed with design then mimicking Quarian's exactly.
Also: geth feet have their 3rd toe on the wrong side.

That is a good point. Although it doesn't rule it out completely.

In a few months, you won't even be able to buy Burger King stock. It has been absorbed by some private equity firm a few weeks ago. McDonald's is a much better bet than Burger King at the moment, depending on whether or not that private equity firm can turn BK around and make it public once more...
And we will know what Tali will look like. Or otherwise I will curse BioWare for teasing us and never delivering.

How do you know he was factoring suits?
Wouldn't he also Factor Jumpsuits for humans/turians too? They don't just run around naked
It was an imprint from the tank, Likley basics about Bilogy of diffrent species.

After time adrift, etc.
I think that is probably one of my least favorite renditions of Tali. As a work of fan art it is great, and the artist obviously is talented. I'm just not crazy about his or her interpretation of Tali. Most Tali fan art unfortunately imagines Tali as being practically human in appearance, and this is a good example of that. She is given an exotic skin tone but otherwise looks human. If Bioware ever reveals her face, and I hope they do, she should look much more alien in apperance. Obviously now that Tali is a LI she'll have to also be attractive to human eyes, but I think you can accomplish that while making her still look like an alien.
Minus the four nostrils, this is probably my favorite rendition so far:

The artist that did that one managed to make her look alien while still being somewhat pretty, and he kept the white, luminous eyes that we can see behind Tali's visor.

That is, except for the outliers who have very specific duties. The general geth is probably a very good depiction of what a quarian looks like, and if BioWare decides to make the quarians mammals I will laugh at them.

Or the suit itself. Effectively it's unlikely that Grunt would ever have to deal with a Quarian who wasn't in a suit.RiptideX1090 wrote...

The average humor doesn't wear super thick armour. Every quarian outside of the flotilla wears a suit.Shadow_broker wrote...

Because the other races don't have a dependency on suits like Quarians do.

Why are you taking this so personally? It's a fact I am stating, not a personal attack.
@ Collider, yes it was an assumption. I would be very surprised if we have more of Tali in ME3 beyond a cameo. I doubt they will take the pains to try and animate a Quarian face.

Anyway, everyone's got their own idea. If anything, the reason I want to see her face is to collapse the quantum waveform down to a single reality, you know?

Yeah.
Because Tali REALLY looks like she has a flashlight head under that mask of hers.
What, with the nose and the two eyes and the cheeks and everything.

Suits don't look much thicker than average clothing.
Grunt is never going to have to deal with naked turians or humans eithier, If he factors in suit for quarians he'd have to factor in jumpsuits for others too.
