Though that could easily be that Tali is the least likely to murder him.

I've tried like four times already to write something for that series featuring Liara. Once right off the bat, once after I finished reading Redemption, and then a couple of false-starts later. I really do need to sit down and think about it again especially in light of what Liara has to say about Tali in LotSB. You're right: a lot could be done there.Volrath937 wrote...
Just read through your story, I really like your interpretation of their relationship. Not BFF"s, but people who've through a lot together. You planning on doing a story taking place during LotSB? Very fertile territory there.
The whole series is mostly outside reactions to what's going on.

She's probably an expert on dealing with people in enclosed spaces. Quarians don't really have the luxury of being catty all the time.Someone With Mass wrote...
And Kelly, Kasumi, Joker and Garrus. As Tali said, quarians are a very social people.mrsph wrote...
Tali seems to make friends easily. Even Pressly started to grow fond of her.

This is true, she is the only one he says something positive about, right?mrsph wrote...
Hell, Tali is the only person that Joker is actually happy to see arrive on the Normandy.
Though that could easily be that Tali is the least likely to murder him.

Or break his glass bones.
As long as you're not talking crap about quarians in general when Tali can hear, you'll most likely make a new friend.

And probably Mordin as well, but in a different way.

Tali keeps his ship running in top form, and prbably better than any Alliance or Cerberus team ever could.
Plus, they've both spent their lives on starships, have some kind of handicap that prevents them from doing certain things, are the best at what the do, ect. They actually have some things in common.

Kasumi and Jacob as well. But he seems more wary of them than he does Tali.

That would explain why she talks with others so much. She needs to vent.

Right now Garrus' only friends are Shepard and Tali. I think he'd get along with the others for the most. But the people who actually feels comfortable with? Those two.
And probably Mordin as well, but in a different way.
I think Mordin's help with finding and sending off Collector samples might have really done a lot to help Garrus and Mordin become friends.
But then, who can honesly hate Mordin?

Joking aside, even this isn't a sure-fire way to earn her ire, as we saw with Garrus. Or even Pressly.

I think she kind of suspects that people will prejudge her for being a Quarian. She doesn't like it, but it's not something she's surprised about.NuclearBuddha wrote...

Generalizing her people as beggars and thieves, that's a different story.

That is probably true, given the continual surprise she shows when Shepard is accepting, kind or interested.Collider wrote...

She's very much aware of what being a quarian means. She knows being in a relationship with Shepard isn't going to be easy, if you reject her on the first 2 romance conversations, or right before the O4, she completely understands why.Collider wrote...

Tali will probably try and be your friend even if you are a racist douche at first (since Shepard can accidentally offend her in Mass Effect) but if you continue to be a bigot then she will likely despise you.
Shepard can say many things "accidentally" and I think Tali learned to take it with a grain of salt. She probably knows he doesn't mean most of those things, due to his ignorance.

The only times I can think of Tali really going off on somebody is if she thinks they have betrayed her.
Or if you are being flat-out racist against her people (like the Volus and C-sec officer)
