She stands up for herself. I really like this.

Concur. Is one of traits that admire her for.

The only times I can think of Tali really going off on somebody is if she thinks they have betrayed her.

Like Shala, Renegade Shep's break up, and so on.

Or if you are being flat-out racist against her people (like the Volus and C-sec officer)

Well, when it involves a young girl being accused of a potential felony over said rasicsm... yeah... that can put a damper on things.

Well, I guess you could retranslate all of the above into "whenever she thinks you are actively harming her or other quarians."

Tali will probably try and be your friend even if you are a racist douche at first (since Shepard can accidentally offend her in Mass Effect) but if you continue to be a bigot then she will likely despise you.

Shepard can say many things "accidentally" and I think Tali learned to take it with a grain of salt. She probably knows he doesn't mean most of those things, due to his ignorance.

She is going to have to be at least a little tolerent of ignorence about her people (I suspect this is why she goes into encyclopedia mode so often)

At least when Tali is cold or malicious, it's justified.

Unlike certain other characters.

She also calls the Admiralty Board bosh'tets, which would be like calling congress bastards (or something worse?) to their faces

Tali's not going to put up with anyone's bull****, that's for sure.

Yeah, well, they kinda deserved it. And Korris knew it.

Jerk.

Bottom line, Tali values loyalty. A lot. Do not break your promises or she will be PISSED.

Do we know how the trials work precisely? How much of the Admiralty Board would have to agree to put someone on trial? Just one admiral?

Unless it's to save her father's name...

Then she's just silently accept the hate...

...

Again. This is why I love her. She really does have the short end of the stick most of the time, if not all of the time, but unlike some of the cast, she DEALS WITH IT.

This is why I love Tali.

Yep. Her rage is well-deserved.

While other characters can get pissy for no good reason, more like to make a scene.

I have to admit this is why I love Garrus as well. He got a rocket to the face, but just makes a snarky comment and moves on. Bad. Ass.

Apparently.

Gerrel and Shala didn't want her on trial, and Xen didn't care one way or the other. She seemed more interested in the underlying problem than putting up with Zaal's political ploys, though if Tali really did send back working parts, she wasn't going to let that go unpunished.

Xen was clearly the deciding vote.

Exactly. All the best characters find a way to deal with their problems and move on. Tali does this. Garrus does this, though usually with more explosions. Mordin's trying to do this, and looks to Shepard for help in the end. Great development.

Some characters.... not so much.

Never saw a renegade breakup in the bedroom with Tali...too scary.  I might watch the reaction with mute on but still...

Oooh, that must be worse than getting kicked in the face with a steel boot for Tali. Waiting all this long, think everything has gone better than she expected with her and Shepard, and then he breaks up with her. Scorched earth policy, my friend.

For the trial to go forward, perhaps.  But I think Koris is the deciding vote at the end.  He seems to be the one hesitating.

The one in the bedroom is just sad... not angry... Tali is understanding...

The one if you're seeing someone else and tell her she was right the whole time, and that it won't work with the mission, however, is a bit wrenching.

The renegade "for the mission" one does indeed bring down the fury.

The paragon breakup is perhaps more heart-wrenching for how it appears to have been expected.

Shepard is the biggest douche of all time if he does this.
