lol I took the pathetic attempt to get PS3 owners to get with Liara and switched them with Tali. My sympathies to the VS.

What he does say about Tali is "The fugitive turned out to be an energetic little quarian named Tali. A tech expert with a knack for hacking. She'd.....procured some information on Saren". "Procured" is an understatement, hence the pause in speech :innocent:

But "little" quarian? What's this about? Explain yourself, default Shepard!

I know Tali gives you the go-ahead for talking with the admirals, but it seems very strange to be talking about Tali being put in a bubble, Veetor and Reegar's well-being, etc, when you're in a state of emergency.

I thought so too. Definitely reminded me I was playing a video game.

Oh, and I'm scared about the comic for ME3. I wonder how they'll misrepresent Tali this time!

I must admit; I laughed.

But in all honesty; I thought Genesis did an fine job representing Tali's character. Could someone explain this whole "misrepresentation" thing?

I don't know about the misrepresentation part, but the way Shepard says "little Quarian" sounds condescending, and rather... Sheploo-ish. Whereas Tali rapes with a shotgun both in firefights and cutscenes. That qualifies as misrepresentation, I do believe.

I'll have to disagree. Although opinion of what Shepard sounded like is entirely subjective.

But I don't think there's anyone who did not get the "wide-eyed youth" feeling during their ME1 interactions with Tali. Thusly; I think the "little quarian" label is justified.

(And I know this is picking nits, but Tali never actually uses her shotgun in a cutscene, unless I'm forgetting an instance.)

She's called a fugitive. While this is technically true (she is being chased by Saren who was a specter at the time), it's misleading. Most new players are going to think that she's genuine criminal. We had new players post in this thread asking what crime Tali did. In reality, she did nothing but annoy Saren, who was a rogue Spectre and generally not a very good guy. I also don't know about the "little quarian" business. If they went to express "wide-eyed youth," "little" is not a very good way of doing it.

Also, she's dual wielding pistols in the comic.

Well... it is a comic, I could go into vast detail about how comics have to be flashy, but I think it's a little unneccesary.

And besides; she is hypothetically capable of using two pistols at once. Furthermore; I'm not one to complain about a character I like to go all John Woo style on robot flunkie arse.

But none of that is either here nor there, really.

Although I suppose reiteration of basic points is sometimes valuable to keep one's priorities straight.

That's fair I suppose. I didn't recall the "fugitive" label, although I haven't watched Genesis from beginning to end more than once.

To be honest, I would consider Genesis to be a mess in general. I've seen Liara fans say that Liara herself was represented out of character. Kaidan and Ashley are just "good soldiers" in the comic. There's no mention of Feros. I think it's fair to say that the comics just don't do justice to Mass Effect in general.

Bleh, comics. I even tried looking at those L4D ones and still couldnt be that bothered with them, normally because the drawing style is well.... err, comic-like, believe it or not.

I always think "Wait, I've seen them as a better graphical image, now you want to show me this ****? No, stop being lazy, make a mini-movie". Then again, didnt really grow up with comics, so they also feel a bit childish to me, especially when they go the full mile and describe sound effects. Good god, like you dont know what an explosion is.

Even the one that came with my collectors I scanned it briefly and then just tossed it back in the box at the bottom.
