I dont think they mean ill either, its just their sence of humour, like carrying around corpses through an entire game just to scare away a demon with. Its been done you know lol, heck I re-did it the other day too >.>

Hm...  Not seen this in a bit.  Not that I've seen a situation appropriate, but when isnt appropriate for a Top?

Prazza was an idiot. Tali says so herself.

On a side note, I think it's really wierd that a team of Quarians got owned by bunch of mechs. Especially when they're supposed to be experts at fighting synthetics.

Pretty much every mission with Quarians involves alot of dead Quarians. I'm not sure about ME1 since I haven't played it (I'll get to it!), but all the other ones are just dead Quarians.

Well, not all Quarians that are mission related are dead, heck I remember one time I sold one into slavery... erm, thats not much better is it?

(Actually its technically out of slavery but whatever, shes not dead).

Tali is literally the only Quarian in ME1.

I don't think there was any ill will on Bioware's part.
It's not as if we were really shown any squad mate that hadn't already been seen before in magazines. We may have been shown Vega, but he was completely covered in generic armor.

True. But I always wondered why Tali never got any showings in magazines or maybe a bit of box art.

Think of it this way: In ME1 Tali wasn't an optional character. Garrus was, and even he got a spot on the box. To Shepard's right hand side, no less, like they knew how popular he would be right from the get-go.

In ME2 Tali was an optional character (but I'm assuming everyone here did do the recruitment mission *stares*), so how come she still didn't(and most likely won't) get a spot on the box like Garrus did previously, or get shown in some clips? It's like they know, instinctively, that we don't need to see her to buy the game. That we'll buy it purely on suspense of knowing that she's there.

Well done to whoever is in charge of the marketing. I'm buying up a few boxes. (No, seriously, it's not sarcastic, I like giving money to BioWare.) For Tali!

Maybe she's just not as popular as you like to believe?

Maybe it's just that Quarians weren't Iconic for ME1; but it's obvious that Bioware noticed Tali's popularity after that game.

Look at Ascension - the novel centers around the Quarian fleet. Probably half the book is about Quarians. And in ME2 the Quarians get more attention than any other race (in my opinion). More voice actors, more cameos, more everything. We got us some Quarian love in ME2.

Why isn't Tali on the Cover? Because Miranda is on the cover. And sex sells. Plus you need Miranda and a guy wearing a half open leather type shirt showing some manly chest muscles, because you need a sexy girl and badass side kick.

Will Tali be on the ME3 cover? Probably not. But I don't think anyone but Shepard is going to be on the cover (is that the official cover reveal btw?)

I wonder if they redesigned Tali and are holding it back for a big reveal. Like being able to see he whole face through the mask.

Very possible. And I think likely. The placeholder face under her mask isn't very attractive, or alien for that matter, so I bet there will be a HUGE difference in ME3. Either nothing but the eyes (if they don't want to reveal her face), or something dramatically different with the same eyes.

Remember, there are no ugly women in video games.

Mhm, possibly. Still, with an active community, and (whoever it was in the interview) saying that Tali was among the most popular, then that's kind of hard to believe.

Maybe it's just that Quarians weren't Iconic for ME1; but it's obvious that Bioware noticed Tali's popularity after that game.

Oh, I know that, yeah, most of my post was a subtle attempt at humour. Most (if not all) of us will buy the game purely knowing the knowledge that "she's in there, somewhere." Tali fans don't need more information than that to buy the game. Though it would be nice to see something with Tali in it. (Even a ten second video would be nice.)

Will Tali be on the ME3 cover? Probably not. But I don't think anyone but Shepard is going to be on the cover (is that the official cover reveal btw?)

I think that's the official reveal, but anything can change in the next 9 (?) months. I'd imagine they'll stick with that though.

Yeah. It'll be sad at the end of ME3 and you know you won't get any more Tali. : /

The marketing campaign for ME3 isn't over yet. There's still plenty to show.
Garrus got absolutely nothing in terms of marketing in ME2, so as far as I'm concerned, him showcasing in the demos a bit is his just due.
There's a great chance that Tali simply wasn't ready for E3 (apparently, Mordin wasn't either), or that they want to "reveal" her later on in a more specific way.
There's one little thing I want to wait for before I sign onto ME3. I want to see Tali's outfit.

The best contemporary examples I could come up with are the novels written by Stephenie Meyer and a certain helmet-haired blonde singer. A lot of fans, but quite a few haters too.

I'd probably say that Liara might be more popular.
Ultimately, I don't care.

But there's more replay-ability in ME3, apparently, so...

(Wonder if it'll be open-ended, like ME2, where you could still play after the story was finished. Maybe see the "House on the Homeworld.")

There's a great chance that Tali simply wasn't ready for E3 (apparently, Mordin wasn't either), or that they want to "reveal" her later on in a more specific way.

True. A number of people in CZ reckoned that Mordin's voice was different. (I couldn't hear it properly due to having a reeaallly crappy internet connection.) So, you could very well be right.

There's one little thing I want to wait for before I sign onto ME3. I want to see Tali's outfit.

Eh, that might be quite a wait. Though I wouldn't mind seeing some concept art of what she'll look like in-game.

What about those with genuinely low intelligence?

Technically, a woman is a female human. Quarians are bipedal, with several physical characteristics of humans so Tali's acceptable (It is fiction, after all). That... might be female?

Am I the only one who thinks that we are in for a big visual overhaul for Tali in some shape or another, and that is why we haven't seen her in a video yet? I am speculating that Mordin somehow cooked something up which strengthened her immune system to the point where she'll run around mask-less.

Of course that is somewhat of a crackpot hypothesis, but it'd make for a nice "OMFG, what?!?" reaction from everybody.

Tali just isn't that marketable I suppose. Honestly I don't think her fan following is that big. The forums aren't a good indicator.
