Hm... Not seen this in a bit. Not that I've seen a situation appropriate, but when isnt appropriate for a Top?

Prazza was an idiot. Tali says so herself.
On a side note, I think it's really wierd that a team of Quarians got owned by bunch of mechs. Especially when they're supposed to be experts at fighting synthetics.

Pretty much every mission with Quarians involves alot of dead Quarians. I'm not sure about ME1 since I haven't played it (I'll get to it!), but all the other ones are just dead Quarians.

True. But I always wondered why Tali never got any showings in magazines or maybe a bit of box art.I don't think there was any ill will on Bioware's part.
It's not as if we were really shown any squad mate that hadn't already been seen before in magazines. We may have been shown Vega, but he was completely covered in generic armor.

Think of it this way: In ME1 Tali wasn't an optional character. Garrus was, and even he got a spot on the box. To Shepard's right hand side, no less, like they knew how popular he would be right from the get-go.
In ME2 Tali was an optional character (but I'm assuming everyone here did do the recruitment mission *stares*), so how come she still didn't(and most likely won't) get a spot on the box like Garrus did previously, or get shown in some clips? It's like they know, instinctively, that we don't need to see her to buy the game. That we'll buy it purely on suspense of knowing that she's there.
Well done to whoever is in charge of the marketing. I'm buying up a few boxes. (No, seriously, it's not sarcastic, I like giving money to BioWare.) For Tali!

Maybe she's just not as popular as you like to believe?

I wonder if they redesigned Tali and are holding it back for a big reveal. Like being able to see he whole face through the mask.
Mhm, possibly. Still, with an active community, and (whoever it was in the interview) saying that Tali was among the most popular, then that's kind of hard to believe.Maybe she's just not as popular as you like to believe?
Oh, I know that, yeah, most of my post was a subtle attempt at humour. Most (if not all) of us will buy the game purely knowing the knowledge that "she's in there, somewhere." Tali fans don't need more information than that to buy the game. Though it would be nice to see something with Tali in it. (Even a ten second video would be nice.)Maybe it's just that Quarians weren't Iconic for ME1; but it's obvious that Bioware noticed Tali's popularity after that game.
Look at Ascension - the novel centers around the Quarian fleet. Probably half the book is about Quarians. And in ME2 the Quarians get more attention than any other race (in my opinion). More voice actors, more cameos, more everything. We got us some Quarian love in ME2.
I think that's the official reveal, but anything can change in the next 9 (?) months. I'd imagine they'll stick with that though. Will Tali be on the ME3 cover? Probably not. But I don't think anyone but Shepard is going to be on the cover (is that the official cover reveal btw?)

wtf is this?! the racist VS got screentime before tali!

But there's more replay-ability in ME3, apparently, so...Yeah. It'll be sad at the end of ME3 and you know you won't get any more Tali. : /
True. A number of people in CZ reckoned that Mordin's voice was different. (I couldn't hear it properly due to having a reeaallly crappy internet connection.) So, you could very well be right. There's a great chance that Tali simply wasn't ready for E3 (apparently, Mordin wasn't either), or that they want to "reveal" her later on in a more specific way.
Eh, that might be quite a wait. Though I wouldn't mind seeing some concept art of what she'll look like in-game.There's one little thing I want to wait for before I sign onto ME3. I want to see Tali's outfit.

Technically, a woman is a female human. Quarians are bipedal, with several physical characteristics of humans so Tali's acceptable (It is fiction, after all). That... might be female?MadCat221 wrote...
