I've said that many times, but I'd like it if they made a liar out of me. ;P

Shepard; "Tali, quit shooting the cave bats. The geth are down on the ground!"

I do vaguely remember a romance trailer for Mass Effect 2. And Tali was in it, very briefly (and what she said was somewhat ambiguous, we Talimancer hopefuls were still worried).

Shepard; "Tali, you're wearing a helmet and a hood, including armor! They're not going to get caught in your hair!"
Tali; "I know. They just look like flying rats. Ah Shepard....about the hair..."
Shepard; "Wut?....Never mind."

When did this "Tali is bald" idea come out, anyways? Posted Image Let's review our list of humanoid aliens...

1. Asari - Blue tentacles that strongly resemble hair, and are just as appealing to humans.
2. Turians - Long fringe that ends sticking out behind the head. Not quite so hair-like, but deffinately not bald.
3. Salarians - Two large, fleshy horn-type things sticking out the top of their head.
4. Humans - Hairy headed (except for Jack).
5. Krogans - Large crest on their head that serves the same purpose to the eye as hair or a helmet, even.
6. Batarians - Well, they have ugly, fleshy wrinkles on their heads... But let's face it, what were Batarians designed for, except to be incredibly frustrating and ugly?

There aren't any aliens that don't have some kind of ornamentation on top of their heads. Besides, why would female Quarians wear those veil-type garments over the back and sides of their masks, while males don't? If it resembled any hair, it would resemble human hair, and since they were wearing suits long before anyone knew about humans, it's obvious the design is their own.

I'm sure Quarians will have hair that looks more hair-like than even the asari's tentacles. Of course, I'm not opposed to feathers, but the Raloi should have that base covered, I'd think Posted Image

(Not saying you said she was completely bald, you just suggested no hair in particular. But many others have said flat-out bald)

It's decoration and fashion. You might also call it the equivalent of quarian "make-up."

I actually support the idea of hair of some sort and of  of some length, probably short because of the helmets, but I was just leaving it open to the reader to decide. ;)

It's not very sporting, but I'd bet my life that Tali's going to have hair or (hopefully this) an equivalent, rather than just being bald (Jack is already bald). I'm sure there'd be a bad reaction to a Tali unmasking with a poor cueball Tali (writing that made me sadface...).

Don't care much about people complaining that Tali isn't conventionally pretty enough for them, really. They should have accepted that Tali's not a conventional love interest to begin with.

Going by every other humanoid alien race, quarians are probably going to have something on top of their head that somewhat resembles, represents, or replaced hair. The jury is still out on whether they do actually have hair though, and for most part I hope they don't.

I'm happy with hair, feathers, or anything that is a hair placeholder. It'll look good, you can count on that; And there's nothing wrong with that.

It'd be interesting what alternatives to hair they'd come up with (if they did), as Quarians are the only other mammal alien race, as far as I know...

Edit: Thanks Jacob Posted Image No matter what Bioware decides Tali looks like, that pic will always be freaking awesome.

I agree. There's some really good artists out there. I may not like something in their "interpretation", but I can only draw stick people. So I cut them a lot of slack!

Hair makes sense given the evolutionary history of their homeworld as well as the quarian method of adapting to it.

Something to catch pollen would be cool. Now I'm think of a tubeworm's feathery filter that it uses to feed... Still, they're pretty Posted Image

See, I always felt the 'bald' look was most appropriate for quarians, considering the original concept art:

Seems fitting, IMO, in that 'Lt. Ilia from Star Trek: The Motion Picture' kinda way...

You could be right, only Bioware or Tali's hairdresser knows for sure. ;P

If she's bald, I'm breaking up with her.

Also when I think of quarians and tube worms I think of a crude joke a quarian would make.

Bald? I never really thought about that... Idk it may catch me off guard at first, but I have seen some women rockin' bald heads pretty decently before. So I imagine Tali could pull it off.

Are we talking skin bald? Or fuzzy bald like me and Jack ?

I didn't fall for her based on her appearance.

But if she IS bald, so what? I'd prefer her with hair, but if she's bald I'll love her still. May even have fun rubbing her smooth dome until she gets annoyed and tells me to stop.
