That wasnt the point I was making, if Bioware called it Humanoid, then that sence is either/or if you follow TOR interviews on what they deem is humanoid, since they didnt see a wookie as such. "Humanoid" depends on who is calling it, personally I would call them as such too but, as I said.

Oh and if the muscle mass between the Drell and Quarians is similar, I'd have to say its all in the lower body i.e the legs, since the Drell are a bit scrawny lot but have alot tougher looking upper bodies, well bar Quarian males who are very broad I suppose.

Yeah, I have always considered "humanoid" to be bipedal with opposable thumbs.

Evil_Sarevok The Turians and Yahg for that matter are concidered humanoid...

The reason why I don't want the Quarians to look human is because it would be pathetic. We already have on alien specie that looks too human (Asari) we don't need another one to be a purple skinned Star Trek ripoff.

We know that the Quarian homeworld is more arid than Earth so from an evolutionary stand point their skin would have to be tougher in response to that. Think of a desert animal how many of them are soft skinned? None, they are all hard skined lizards, or snakes that have scales that keep in water which is needed in an arid environment soft skin in an arid environment doesn't work you'd dry out and die.

And yet the humanoid's that share those arid region's are soft skinned and make up for the different climate with other adaptation's, such as skin color and sweat glands, etc.

I don't see anything here but quarian Tali...

I now see that we've diverged from the thread topic of Tali. Who would like to continue this topic to another thread so we no longer make a Tali thread a Quarian in general thread?

Well, no, since we do talk about both since it is around the same topic, as Quarian general looks are the same as how Tali generally looks.

Here an example:

lets do what the garrus thread did and mark it as a Tali and Quarian discussion thread.

Very well. I still stand by my beliefs that a specie whoose body looks signifigantly different from us should not facially look the same it just shouldn't. I like Mass Effect because its the only SciFi anything that had different species look different they weren't just humans painted a different color, that's why I dislike the Asari because I look at them as a flaw in the design that the game has going. Every specie looks very different' from the other to have two species look like humans would be bad it would be corny.

We know they have eyes and a nose placed where humans are but like the Drell they can still look alien and have these featurs and I'm hoping if they show a Quarian (Which I'm still opposed to the specie's appearance is the suit, you see that suit you know its a Quarian) that they can have them not look like a purple faced human or like some pictures I've seen fans made look like an elf... anything like that would ruin Quarians for me.

Having two Star Trek species is not the best. They already made their bodies different from ours I can only hope that they continue down that road with the face.

I'm already lossing faith because they're going to show their face at all. There 'real' face isn't who they are. Tali is that pair of eyes behind that purple glass, that is who I see when people talk about her and it's not a bad thing its what makes them alien from us. There was nothing wrong with them looking like that and staying like that. I hope you take no offense jacobOriley because I do not want to sound mean but I hope Tali looks nothing like your avatar because I've seen too many like her on SciFi shows that don't care about making aliens look alien.

I like the picture because it is artfully done... but its a nice picture that better not be in ME3 lol

I know the writer of this story is NOT a representation of most Talimancers. I do occasionally observe flamewars, but on the whole, I have concluded that the 'All Talimancers are Rabid psychos' is a false statement. You're a devoted fanbase, and you like to talk about your character, just like the Miranda fans and the Ashaholics.

But could please, PLEASE, talk to this guy. It's like he's destroying what we love about the characters like Tali and Miri and laughing as he does it.Posted Image

Absolutely no offense taken at all. I hope she doesn't look like that as well. My avatar is used for other reasons, than to represent what I want her to look like. No harm, no foul. It's all good.

I do not agree that the Asari are a flawed race, but the drell are not. It's not crazy to assume there may be a species out there similar to us.

And as Tali's face, yes I do want it to be alien, but recognizable. I don't want to look at Tali and go whoa what is that.Meaning it is hard to tell what I am looking at because she is too alien. The reason making a female Krogan,Turian, and Salarian is so hard,IMO ,is because they are too alien. I want to look at Tali and see a Quarian female. No confusion. Beyond that I have no idea what she may look like,or even how to pull off what I just described. I can't even draw a stick, much less a stick person.

So I want to take this moment and personally Thank all of you Tali & ME artist out there. Thank You very much for your great innovative art work. Without it,the internet would be much less interesting.!.

This is one of the few looks I'd... actually love to see her as the other took a more feline touch but this also fits very well I could easily get lose in those eyes.

Personally I think they should have gone with the quarian concept that was implied to have three eyes.

Way i look at it? "You did Decide", had to quote Disturbed there :P. What im saying is, well you DID decide on choosing an alien as a love interest.

I remember reading one of my Game Informer magazines and it had something along the lines of top 10 sci fi cliches. One of them being aliens incredibly similar to humans, like to the point they might as well not have been aliens. I think one of the most fascinating things about Mass effect is that it doesn't shy away from cross species relationships (hell krogan and asari, whod've thunk it?). It takes a pretty damn brave soul to venture away from their own species, even more so to look beyond the physical aspect.

Basically what im trying to say is, we already have the human like asari, if she does turn out to look like the picture above? Hell I'd accept it with open arms, hell i went after an alien i knew what i was getting myself into and would i do it in real life? Funny thing is yeah i totally would.

But if she IS bald, so what? I'd prefer her with hair, but if she's bald I'll love her still. May even have fun rubbing her smooth dome until she gets annoyed and tells me to stop.

I'll just make sure she keeps her helmet on.

I've personally never read it, though from the look of some of the reviews I'm not sure I ever will.

I'm probably about as 'rabid' as they come, but at the same time I'm not going to bash other people for liking a different character. At most I'm apathetic towards certain characters (Miranda, Jacob), but I'm certainly not going to call out people based on what characters they like, no more than I expect people to call any one of us in this thread out for liking Tali. I've always been a fan of on-character stories, or at least stories that are close enough so as to be considered such. I've also never been a fan of non-canonical pairings, so this bit I've seen in the reviews about her and 23 (similar to (Jack) Subject Zero I assume?), immediately puts me off.

Though having said that, I haven't read any of it, so I can't really make any comments on the story from my perspective, only what I've read in the reviews.

All in all, unfortunately, I doubt this person is going to listen to a single Talimancer over that of the 100+ praising reviews.

Also, new from dA.

Wow. That was OOC. For both Tali and Miranda that is just...

I think he would be better off writing his own stuff than doing fanfiction.

And that is a cute pic Troodon. And I have always loved the Tali concept art above, was posted by the artist a few weeks ago. Amazing stuff.

Also, Eldar Tali.

I'd like to see hair on Tali as well, but I can understand there NOT being hair. Maybe they could install some sort of cleaning program into their suits (I suppose they'd have to, as routinely going outside of the suit has been said to be a dangerous thing), but if there's not, then that hair would get greasy and gross real fast.

Whatever Bioware chooses for appearance I'm sure I'll be happy with.
