Oh, man. Nightcrawler Tali four nostrils and all. It's like I'm really in the old thread.

Anyway, everyone's got their own idea. If anything, the reason I want to see her face is to collapse the quantum waveform down to a single reality, you know?

Jesus Christ, THIS.

I'll be happy when it's all said and done, and we can't argue it anymore.

Also. Then I'll be able to draw her without the mask.

Why are you taking this so personally? It's a fact I am stating, not a personal attack.

@ Collider, yes it was an assumption. I would be very surprised if we have more of Tali in ME3 beyond a cameo. I doubt they will take the pains to try and animate a Quarian face.

We'll see what happens.

If a group of people were making a slave race they'd want to make the slaves similar to themselves so they can perform similar work with similar utensils and such.

That is, except for the outliers who have very specific duties. The general geth is probably a very good depiction of what a quarian looks like, and if BioWare decides to make the quarians mammals I will laugh at them.

You're uh... missing the point.  But anyway.

Doesn't the codex already say quarians are mammals?

Why would the Quarians have hair? Hair is a mammalian trait, as are breasts and a vulva. Quarians are supposed to be similar to turians so it is safe to assume that they have neither of those three things.

They most likely would have a cloaca as well.

If you are going to love an alien, be prepared for some alien features.

Mammal Analogues, yeah.

The prospect of stopping the sometimes obnoxious debate is rather tantalizing, yes.

If you're going to spout random facts, make sure, you know, they're actual facts. Or something.

Just saying.

Your opinion is not fact.

Tali won't be a squadmate in ME3; I am certain of that much. If she lives, she will go back to help point her people in the right direction against the Reapers. We will get another romance scene to round out the franchise, hopefully.

Hopefully, she has more than one cameo. A half-dozen cameos in which we can interact with Tali would be nice, if BioWare doesn't want to bring her back as a squadmate.

How do you know he was factoring suits?
Wouldn't he also Factor Jumpsuits for humans/turians too? They don't just run around naked

It was an imprint from the tank, Likley basics about Bilogy of diffrent species.

The average humor doesn't wear super thick armour. Every quarian outside of the flotilla wears a suit.

Every Human who Grunt is going to have to fight likley wears Merc armor, The average human in the terminus systems does wear super thick armor

Suits don't look much thicker than average clothing.
Grunt is never going to have to deal with naked turians or humans eithier, If he factors in suit for quarians he'd have to factor in jumpsuits for others too.

Except average clothing isn't vacuum-sealed and bullet-proof.  It definitely isn't for humans and turians.

Speaking of the suit:

Would any of you like the idea of a Quarian suit made by a different race? Aka a Quarian suit if redesigned by Turians or Salarians for Tali's Alternate Appearance?

Why would the Quarians have hair?

Because this is science fiction and Mass Effect has the creative license to do so. The Asari are certainly not realistic to begin with. In that respect asking why Quarians would have hair is fairly pointless in the grand scheme of things, because Bioware has already demonstrated that they are capable of leaning towards the ficiton of science fiction.

I think that is probably one of my least favorite renditions of Tali. As a work of fan art it is great, and the artist obviously is talented. I'm just not crazy about his or her interpretation of Tali. Most Tali fan art unfortunately imagines Tali as being practically human in apperance, and this is a good example of that. She is given an exotic skin tone but otherwise looks human.  If Bioware ever reveals her face, and I hope they do, she should look much more alien in apperance. Obviously now that Tali is a LI she'll have to also be attractive to human eyes, but I think you can accomplish that while making her still look like an alien.

Minus the four nostrils, this is probably my favorite rendition so far:

The artist that did that one managed to make her look alien while still being somewhat pretty, and he kept the white, luminous eyes that we can see behind Tali's visor.

like you i also hate the "space elf" depection but at the same time why are humans the only species with hair?

is it stated somewhere that the suits are actually bulltet proof?
I always thought quarians relied on shields

It's very possible there was already indication of this in ME1, given the (albeit rare) suits

This is pretty funny, considering your sig.  I'm sorry you feel this way.

But anyway, the codex says they're analogous to mammals.  You're mistaking the chemical basis for their biology for phenotype.  They're not anything like turians.

The companion to this pic is pretty good, too.

The spinning of DNA does not make them similar. Please learn about this.
Also, I'm fairly sure those are breasts we see.

Doubt they gonna change the trend.

If you honestly think Tali is going to be a cameo, you clearly have no understanding of how the industry works, why that would not be at ALL cost effective, and are overlooking the simple fact that it would damage their sales in the long run.

Yeah.

Because Tali REALLY looks like she has a flashlight head under that mask of hers.

What, with the nose and the two eyes and the cheeks and everything.

What you just argued would be the equivalent of me saying, "C-3PO does NOT look like a human! HE HAS FLASHLIGHT EYES OMG!!!"

I'm talking general shape and structure. And the male quarian helmet rather strongly implies an elongated cranium like a geth or a deep stalker.
