And about the DLC. I'd like one where Tali and Shepard runs into Lemm'Shal vas Idenna. That guy deserves to be in the game.

I wonder if Tali can listen to music inside her helmet. Maybe when she's working with the engines. Some song with a good rhythm.

I would not be suprised if she modified her suit to have that function really, the girl likes music as far as I can tell, why not have it to work to?

I can imagine her kind of wiggling around and humming to the tune and Ken and Gabby just look at her thinking "what has gotten into our boss?" lol.

Question is: do you think Shepard being her boyfriend might introce her to new types of music and she would come to maybe like it? That was something I always wondered for some reason.

SWM: Yeah, her helmet could definitely play music. Gotta introduce the girl to some classic rock!

There's nothing like the classics.

I've been going nuts trying to remember the name of that song.
As for quarian music, I image it would mostly be synthesized instruments and vocals. Bioware must find out if Liz Sroka can sing while maintaining that accent. It would be glorious.

I've been looking at some older "in game" pictures of Tali from before ME2 release and it looks like she used to have shotguns and submachineguns AND her drone wasn't purple. Wish she had kept the submachinegun but I'm glad they made Chiktikka purple.

Well, that depends on her taste in music. But I can guess she likes something good to shake those hips to. Posted Image

Of course, if she's anything like us, she'll find everything about Shepard's culture interesting.

What color would Chiktikka have been? Submachines would have been useful at launch, but the GPS is so powerful now I don't bother switching it out ever.

The only downside with her having a SMG and a shotgun is that she'd be pretty weak against an opponent with armor. Well, at least without any DLC weapons. I think that's why they gave her a pistol. But I think they should have let a squadmate have at least three weapons. One close range, one long range and one with a high rate of fire.

It was yellow, the same as Legions

Isn't Legion's drone blue and EngiShep's yellow/orange?

Yeah, it would all depend on that, I wish Bioware was more in depth with that! All that is mentioned is that she took a liking to the techno in the bars...

You just said something about dancing by shaking hips to music, you were reading my mind, lol.

Shepard just coming in to check in and say hello, but then he sees Tali dancing and humming all cute like she always is, and then he just gives her a big hug from behind! Posted Image

I want a "hug Tali" option! Just something where you ask to hold her and then you just talk while holding, I think that would be very cute and sweet. But most people don't think as mushy and touchy feely as I do. :P

Do you guys bother switching out weapons for teammates? Even on Insanity I found it a waste of time on non-boss enemies. Personally I'd like to see more teammates powers. Tali could get Damping Field, Tech Armor, etc.

I switch out the GPS for the Phalanx sometimes, when the spread of the pellets is too high and the enemy too far away for it to be effective.

It'd likely be too much work to implement a "Hug during conversation" option for every conversation, but something like they had in DA:O, where you could give Morrigan a kiss in camp for example, would be great.

Yeah, I was thinking of something like that too, I liked the fact that you could kiss LI's whenever you wanted in Dragon Age, it was really nice for me personally.

So yeah, instead of kissing, it would be hugging with Tali, and maybe the first time you do it, it would be a longer cutscene where it zooms out to see Ken and Gabby too and how they look at the two lovers and they both sigh in being able to see true love happen in front of them. =3

Something really sweet like that I think.

Almost like in ME1, where you can talk to your squadmates at anytime, but improved.

At least add some acknowledgement of her or any other character's romance.

That would be a good option...

By the way, who here would have preferred that Tali was an option for Femshep as well?

I don't think Tali being a bisexual fits her character. That's my opinion.

What about her character seems particularly unbisexual to you? I'm curious.

Yeah, my favorite part of DA:O romance with Morrigan was when Allistair made fun of her by saying "Well what's that?" "What's what?" Morrigan says, "You and him! You're making kissy faces to each other all the time!" Alistair says, or that's what I remember, it was still funny! I wanna make kissy faces with Tali. :3

Cuddly, snuggly, buggly, hugging in public with Tali... Now that would be nice and cute!

I miss being able to talk to party members in the field, it added some feeling of interactivity to the situation, a feeling of "hey, lets just slow down, take a break, and talk for a minute for fun ok?"

Yeah, I like all these ideas.

DA:O and the cabin intercom in ME2 seem like they're "getting the feel" of how to make the relationships seem more real.

For Tali, imagine going up to her after the credits roll in ME3. The wheel comes up and instead of normal conversation options you get something like "Hug, Invite to meal, Invite to cabin, How are you?, Investigate, Leave."

Investigate would lead to whatever conversation options she'd have after the endgame. Hug would go into a hug like you've described, "Invite to meal" could have Shepard asking her to grab a bite up in the cafeteria. There'd be a load screen, then it would cut to her eating a paste tube while Shepard has lunch, and a random conversation would play. It'd mostly be just moving the character models to different locations and voicing some mundane little conversations, but I think it'd make things more "real".

Totally doing driveby postings without really reading what the discussion actually is, but I'm a bit torn about Tali and female Shepard being an option. What I actually see as a possibility for them, based on Tali's comment about linking suits, is an incredibly deep and loving female friendship. There are friendships out there so deep that they match just about everything you'd see in a romantic relationship except for the actual romance aspects. These friendships usually get accusations of being gay, but that's just the insecurity of the accuser, I think.

But for a Tali and female Shepard friendship, I can see them being a part of every important aspect of each other's lives. Like Shala'Raan linking suits with Tali's mother during Tali's birth. Probably sitting by each other's side if one was ill. Being a surrogate aunt to each other's children. That sort of thing.

The Quarians seem to be a people with old souls, not really open to concepts such as going bisexual, and Tali I think is a part of that mindset too, she's a very traditional girl I think. Really just about the only "untraditional" thing she has ever done is be attracted to and have a relationship with a human in the firt place, other than that, she's a pretty traditional, old fashioned girl.

That's my thoughts anyway, I know bisexuality and homosexuality is not a new concept, it's pretty old, going back to ancient Greek times, but it's just not "traditional" do you know what I mean?

It's nice to see that Tali gets some love and attention from everybody and not just guys though, she deserves all that attention to pick up her spirits and make her feel less unsure of herself I think.

That seems like it'd be a workable option as well... I can see it happening, at least. I can also see it happening with Kasumi... though Kasumi's romantic compass is clearly screwed up anyway if she's into Jacob, of all people. A romantic two-girl-friendship with Tali and an actual romance with Liara would be a lovely arrangement.

The Quarians seem to be a people with old souls, not really open to

I see what you mean, though Rannoch culture probably isn't exactly the same as Earth culture and you may be anthropomorphizing a bit. Still, I have Liara and can't be too bitter.

Yeah, I was going to say that you have Liara for you, she's got those cute freckles and blushy cheeks, lol.

I dunno, the reason why I say that the Quarians are "old souled" is because for one thing, it's mentioned somewhere by a character when it came to how they sang and their culture's music in general, and a culture's music can tell a lot, and I mean A LOT about a people's culture in so many ways I have found. Typically a nation's folk songs reflect who the people are like and what they stand for, for example Russian folk music always sounds to me like a very warm, but small flicker of a flame in the middle of a harsh winter, or the dawn of a blossoming spring thawing out of that harsh snow, something that Russians had to deal with and experience constantly.

And for a second reason, don't really seem to have sex on their minds all that much, they don't talk about it too much, the only two Quarians who do talk about it to any length are Tali and the friend zoning Quarian girl in the Illium bar, other than that, Quarians think about how they can best live their lives to help others and taking care of family. Casual sex (which for the most part, since babies don't come out of it, homosexuality and bisexuality can really only attain "casual" sex) isn't really productive for a culture that places so much emphasis on making the best of what one has to keep the Flotilla going strong, so I would imagine sex for Quarians mostly is for babies, and as Shala'ran mentioning linking her suit with Tali's mother while watching over the baby as a sign of sisterhood and devotion to the baby shows just how much they care about making children.

In fact I can imagine how few babies survive in the flotilla given the immune system's weakness in Quarians, really sad...
