Well... Tali can't make babies with Mshep either. Of course, it's not a bad thing if she's hetero, but when the only ones who aren't are the pansexual monogendered aliens...

So do you think we will be able to use gifts in ME3 like we would in DA:O and if so what gift would you forsee Shepard giving Tali? New shotgun? New Omnitool? New suit design? Nervestim Pro: Ultra Deluxe?

I know, I was really just trying to talk about the cultural bit of info about Quarians with Quarians in general, Tali I would say is an exception to the rule of thumb in terms of culture and really thinking about sex as a big part of her relationship with Shepard, but one cannont deny the basic outcome from growing up in that kind of culture, it makes people the way they are.

That being said, Tali would have the "Male to Female" midset intact, but being her own person, she deviated just a little by getting together with a Human instead of another Quarian, again, the only "untraditional thing" she has ever done.

If it is a cultural thing... that might be interesting, if she's just repressing her feelings for Femshep in ME2, but might go further in ME3. I just wish that, if it had been the case, it would have come to fruition sooner, because, well, Liara.

Well, I don't want it to be exactly like in DA:O, but if there's a gift that I'd give her, it'd be the nerve stimulator the first time, (don't want to miss an opportunity like that) and then a new suit design, some things to put in the cabin and then practical things like omni-tools or shotguns.

There is a really sweet short story about Shep giving Tali a shotgun in ME1.

I would like to give some things that will show up in her work space so it looks customizable.  It would also be cool if a picture of Shepard was at her work place too.

SWM: Yeah, her helmet could definitely play music. Gotta introduce the girl to some classic rock!

There's nothing like the classics.

I've been going nuts trying to remember the name of that song.
As for quarian music, I image it would mostly be synthesized instruments and vocals. Bioware must find out if Liz Sroka can sing while maintaining that accent. It would be glorious.

Accents tend to disappear with singing.  Jackie Chan apparently does some singing, and his thick chinese accent disappears.

But for a Tali and female Shepard friendship, I can see them being a part of every important aspect of each other's lives. Like Shala'Raan linking suits with Tali's mother during Tali's birth. Probably sitting by each other's side if one was ill. Being a surrogate aunt to each other's children. That sort of thing.

That's how I'd rather see it. It irritates me whenever close friends of the same gender are accused of having a gay vibe.

Yeah, I was thinking of something like that too, I liked the fact that you could kiss LI's whenever you wanted in Dragon Age, it was really nice for me personally.

So yeah, instead of kissing, it would be hugging with Tali, and maybe the first time you do it, it would be a longer cutscene where it zooms out to see Ken and Gabby too and how they look at the two lovers and they both sigh in being able to see true love happen in front of them. =3

Something really sweet like that I think.

DA:O and the cabin intercom in ME2 seem like they're "getting the feel" of how to make the relationships seem more real.

For Tali, imagine going up to her after the credits roll in ME3. The wheel comes up and instead of normal conversation options you get something like "Hug, Invite to meal, Invite to cabin, How are you?, Investigate, Leave."

Investigate would lead to whatever conversation options she'd have after the endgame. Hug would go into a hug like you've described, "Invite to meal" could have Shepard asking her to grab a bite up in the cafeteria. There'd be a load screen, then it would cut to her eating a paste tube while Shepard has lunch, and a random conversation would play. It'd mostly be just moving the character models to different locations and voicing some mundane little conversations, but I think it'd make things more "real".

Im loving these ideas but I think it would be better if these options were available early on in ME3 and the specifics of what happens would depend on events in game.

Id like to give her something of the quarian race past, like old artwork photos/paintings of Ranoch books ect. Im sure Kasumi would be more than willing to help with the aquisition of such artifactsPosted Image

I'm a little tired of all these relics and artifacts. I want something new that was made as a token of everlasting friendship and love.

this is a discussion that never ends well.

personaly I have nothing against it and would not mind it at all since it's a choice who you romance in ME1 and 2, but most go for the no option for driffern't reasons.

This is actually a decent idea, a more dynamic approval system could work well for ME3. It seemed strange that you could be a complete jackass to some characters in ME2, then romance them with no problem.

Shepard probably wound up with a bunch of "Shepard&Crew" merchandise after the battle of the Citadel.

That'd make the game a lot more interesting at the end lol, may be awhile before you start another Shepard.

Let's just hope the BW crew has something similar in mind. It'd really help the romance grow.

I look forward to seeing how BioWare moves the romance forward and Tali's character in general. They seem to do much better in full games than on downloadable content.

I agree with you. They shouldn't make romance progress scenes in DLCs. It's bad for the ones who haven't played them.

I hope the whole romance-part will be bigger in ME3. It also should be more important for playthrough. I mean - you romance Tali and she helps you in a whole special scene during the big showdown or something like this. Let's hope BWteam read the posts of this Forum and think - "hey that's great - we'll make this real" ;)

Some acknowledgment of the romance in DLCs won't hurt, though.

I don't think Bioware's ever done a romance like we'd get in ME3, we'll be starting the game with our Shepard's already in a solid relationship with Tali. Getting Rannoch back seems like it'll be the "big" plot point for Tali/the quarians, so if I had to bet on it, all Shepard's can get Rannoch, but romanced ones will get a little something extra. Dialogue during the game would need to be added/altered to show mutual affection too.

They've done it before in Throne of Bhaal. I suspect ME2 romances in ME3 will be roughly equivalent to LotSB. As for Tali/FemShep, why not? There's already stuff that could be construed that way. I'm not a Talimancer, but having options is good.

Things that could should not always be. Especially if they make little to no sense.
