I look forward to seeing how BioWare moves the romance forward and Tali's character in general. They seem to do much better in full games than on downloadable content.Someone With Mass wrote...
Let's just hope the BW crew has something similar in mind. It'd really help the romance grow.

People can't seem to get over the fact you can be the same sex and still only be friends.I sure can't see what's so appealing about same sex romances.
Eh. Whatever. I'm not worried about such things.

I don't think Bioware's ever done a romance like we'd get in ME3, we'll be starting the game with our Shepard's already in a solid relationship with Tali. Getting Rannoch back seems like it'll be the "big" plot point for Tali/the quarians, so if I had to bet on it, all Shepard's can get Rannoch, but romanced ones will get a little something extra. Dialogue during the game would need to be added/altered to show mutual affection too.Darman wrote...
I agree with you. They shouldn't make romance progress scenes in DLCs. It's bad for the ones who haven't played them.
I hope the whole romance-part will be bigger in ME3. It also should be more important for playthrough. I mean - you romance Tali and she helps you in a whole special scene during the big showdown or something like this. Let's hope BWteam read the posts of this Forum and think - "hey that's great - we'll make this real"
What I would really like to see, in regards to elevation of romance, is by the end, or at least near the end of ME3, we have the option to marry our chosen love interest whether it be from ME1, ME2, or ME3 if there are any. Would be something I've never seen in any other RPG that had romance options.
As for the subject of Rannoch, I think a mission that takes you beyond the veil to land on the planet (for whatever reason) would be a great idea. Be a great chance for lots of Tali, maybe even Legion, dialogue.

Sadly, I have thought a lot of about this. It was my reason for the first post I ever made in the thread.MS-06 Zaku II wrote...
In fact I can imagine how few babies survive in the flotilla given the immune system's weakness in Quarians, really sad...
Shala's story about Tali crying really hard when she was put in the bubble was pretty wrenching to me. I mean, it's adorable on one level, but remembering how my kid squalled every time they weren't held made it a more painful story.

This is so sad yet very true. I don't care, either, but I think it's getting ridiculous.Runescapeguy9 wrote...

It takes time to replace what was taken out. If it doesn't effect the story in a major way there is no reason to cut it.kraidy1117 wrote...
I think the reason why people want Tali for both genders is because she does flirt with you as a Femshep. It's clear Bioware wanted Tali to be for both genders but decided to cut it but left in that flirty dialog.

Tali was basically talking about the suit-linking thing that Raan did with Tali's mom.

This. Not that it really matters, since it's kraidy doing the talking, though.mrsph wrote...

I doubt Tali's room is hers anymore. Space is limited. If she isn't using it they probably reassigned it to another quarian.

I don't think Tali being the daughter of an admiral is going to help her much. If another quarian family needs that space they will likely get it.

a. She is crew of the Normandy in name and in truth. The Neema owes her nothing officially.
b. Quarian exemplar that she is, she'd hardly demand a room she wasn't using.

So what would they do with Rael's living quarters, if he had any? I'm sure an admiral got better treatment than the average quarian. I thought they would just wait for Tali to decide what to do with it.NuclearBuddha wrote...

Someone else who needed them would get them, I assume. I don't know that his quarters were in any way special.Runescapeguy9 wrote...

Given that Rael was at least following the "one child" rule (and others were not!), I'd suggest he was something of a stickler for at least the appearance of all the rules applying to him.

More than likely all the personal stuff, which probably wasn't much, ended up in Tali's posession, while everything else got recycled back into the population.
Seeing as how he was for the fleet, and only the fleet, he probably didn't have much.

Probably not in theory. However, Tali herself notes that she got the best training her father could provide, so there might well be some level of nepotism. It's possible that some of her problems on Freedom's Progress stemmed from the appearance of nepotism as well.mrsph wrote...

After she completed her pilgrimage, I wouldn't be surprised.Volrath937 wrote...
It's probably the best reason for why she's leading a team to recover a single quarian on some backwater human colony with a squad of marines. She was getting her missions from Rael and the board right? He probably insisted on having someone he could trust (Tali) in control of the missions.
