I imported the saved file after completing ME1...with NO problems. then the flash drive that contained the save file became corrupt and the save is lost. I do have the file already loaded into the game....but in case there is a problem and I have to reinstall ME2...the only way I can keep the data is to back up the save directory. Is there a way to extract the ME1 file from the game to save for safe keeping????
Thank You

You should have an ME1 file folder in the directory where ME2 is as well with that character build. In any case, if you successfully created the ME2 game from that save, you already have it, so you should be good to go. If you really wanted to, you could create an ME2 save from scratch as if you have played ME1 using Gibbed's save editor.

The original ME1 export file should still exist in ME2's save folder, in the ME1 subdirectory. (\\Bioware\\Mass Effect 2\\Save\\ME1\\, under My Documents or C\\User\\Your Username\\)
