Hi! My laptop, according to the systemrequirementslab, meets all of the minimum requires except I have an Intel GM965 video card
Does anyone know if it the PC version of Dragon Age Origins will run with the GM965 graphics card?
Under the video card it lists "features" and shows that my Video RAM, Hardware T&L, Pixel Shader and Vertex Shader all pass.
It just says I'm running the Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family.
I have a PS3 & Xbox360 but generally prefer PC versions to console versions.
Is there any hope? :-)

Does the free Character Creator run well? Sure, the game is going to be more intensive, but it's a starting point.

That is not a graphics card, sorry. It's an integrated chip and it will not run DA:O. Sorry.

I wonder if this is an entirely appropriate topic for this forum? (Hmmm? It seems to have been moved!)
Be that as it may, out of three entirely separate proposals along similar lines, only one of them got beyond a few prototypes. That one reached the engineering sample stage, but would have cost as much as a netbook does, not including the separate desktop type display that it also added to the setup. Too few people were interested at that price. It never went into production.
P. S. I miscounted when I replied originally. There have been four proposed external systems, all of which seemed to have been priced quite steeply. It is possible that the most expensive of all proposals may become available, but it is priced up there with a complete laptop (budget laptop, but more than a Netbook).

Yes, the game will run quite well with no graphics, so be sure to turn all of the graphics off in the launcher.
DA:O is a fine text-based game, imho.
