If it was just a conversational dominance gesture, it was a dickish one for certain. I don't have to prove anything to her; she's not even around by my choice. In fact, if I could turn her in to C-Sec, I would.

what would C Sec do she is not a alliance soldier or member she is a Cerberus operative and plus C Sec has no power over Cerberus and neither do those clowns in the alliance

Well, he did mention that he would turn her over to C-Sec.  Once she's in one of their cells, they have as much power over her as they're willing to have.  Sad truth.

She. But yes, that's my intention (though hopefully I'd get her to be with someone who doesn't share Bailey's policy of "make them scream a little").

The only place I could see that work is prison.. or simply those bad people. Just to make sure that they behave.. without abusing it of course.

Very true.

That doesn't, in and of itself, prevent C-Sec from doing what they will, or what the Council will, with someone who is physically in their custody.

This is a human mission to look after human interests. I'm not questioning Garrus's loyalty, but he is loyal to Shepard (for the moment), not humanity. Would you take a bullet for a Turian[?]

If that turian were Garrus.

Miranda's never against keeping the Collector base. She just hoped what they found there was worth keeping it for. She didn't distrust the Illusive Man. She was just overwhelmed by the death surrounding that base and emotionally wanted to get rid of it.

That said, she also wouldn't kill you if you decided to destroy the base because she trusts you and it synced with her emotions at that time.

Miranda is second in command of the normandy and since shepard is rarley seen delaing with the non squadmate crew it's safe to assume that's Miris job.

I remember one conversation in crew quarters where a guy mentioned Lawson helping his family get out of a endagered colony even if force is needed.

She also is a highly inteligent micromanaging operative of a secretive terroist super power.

There is no if miranda can lead, It's her job.

ON topic, Would you not be skeptical of a single person abilities who you spent infinite resources bringing back and want some security incase something goess amiss? Seems fairly logical to me, and atleast she dosen't lie about her motives

well i will not have to worry about the council i murdered those clowns at the end of ME 1 so thats one less problem to worry about for my Shepard. as for C sec if they get in my shepard's way they will end up like the council and the Rachni dead

The human council that replaces them is no better though. At least the alien council (minus the turian) is nice about not believing you. The human council won't even show themselves.

No it wasn't. It was obstructionist because the members didn't really believe in Robo-Cthulhu, which is reasonable. They're necessary to keep.

to you it may be but they were just not going to listen to anything Shepard said about the reapers so they were nothing but a problem

Well, they did believe in the Reapers for a while, if you decide to save them in the first game. I believe that they are just lying to Shepard because he's with Cerberus and are preparing in some way to stop the Reapers. You don't tell someone working with your enemy (even if it's Shepard) all you have up your sleeve.

Overall, I agree. I just hope I get something good.

I'm sure there's a payoff there somewhere, if you manage to put up with their flip-flopping.

Almost forgot what this thread was about, woops. I can't really blame Miranda for wanting some kind of back-up plan, since dead things tend to come back wrong, but a mind control chip isn't exactly the best bet. Like someone said earlier in the thread a device to shut off his implants would be a better idea. Of course I'd never do that myself.

I'm pretty sure there's still a Citadel Council in ME2 even if you let the extant Council of ME1 die during the Battle of the Citadel.

Says a lot that your Shephards would slaughter C-sec without hesitation for "getting in the way".
