Mass Effect 3 ends when Conrad Vernor is walking in some random section of the Citadel only to find a room with a shiny red button that says "Don't Touch." Being Conrad Vernor, he presses it. And all the Reapers shut down. The end.

Super-Ultra-Mega Paragon Ending

With the help of the entire Alliance Armada, Shepard is able to reclaim to Omega 4 Scrapyard from Ceberus control, and with it, Millions of years of ship wreckage. Technology from every species that ever existed along with salvaged Reaper technology from the Derelict Reaper and Sovereign is used upgrade every alliance ship in Council space. The Reaper fleet is defeated.

Geth-Quarian story arc
---Peace Treaty is negotiated. Quarians begrudgingly purchase several continents on the Quarian homeworld back from the Geth. Geth prefer the vacuum of space anyway.
---War is fought to the bitter end of both. The Geth Synthethiphage Virus irreversibly damages the entire Geth race. In retaliation, the Geth launch one last attack that destroys the Migrant fleet's agricultural ships. Both races die out.
---Shepard sides with Legion. The Migrant fleet has been thwarted at quest X and heads ever farther from Council space. Never to be heard from again.
---Shepard sides with <3Tali<3. The Migrant fleet successfully pushes the Geth from most of the core Quarian worlds and begin recolonization.

Krogan story arc
---Genophage has been cured with the help of Mordin. Urdnot Wrex leads the Krogan people into a new age of vitality.
---The Krogan have suffered too much loss and no longer have enough genetic diversity to survive more than one generation. The Krogan are no more.
---Genophage has been cured with the help of Mordin. Urdnot Wreav leads the Krogan people into a new age of conquest against the Galaxy only to be crushed and placed in a permanent blockage around Tuchanka.
---Despite the best efforts of the Genophage, Urdnot Wrex's efforts have changed his people for the better. The population is booming and an emphasis has been drawn away from combat and towards scholarly pursuits.

Alliance story arc
---The Alliance reluctantly shares many of the Omega 4 technologies with the other council races. The last scene is a two minute sequence of Joker running up the aisle. He trips over a Hanar tentacle but manages to land on his feet. He hands/tosses the ring to Shepard who promptly places it on <3<3<3Ashley<3<3<3's finger. The camera zooms out to galactic scale view to the sound of deafening cheer. Cue Credits.

Hopefully an ending that doesn't involve shepard being a martyrdom, it's so overdone it's not funny.

Paragon ending

The Reaper war is finally over. Despite the impossible odds, united together, we managed to defeat the almighty enemy. The Reaper remains are all that’s left of the enemy and everybody in the galaxy is racing in order to study it. But then Shepard shows up and makes an epic paragon speech. In it, Shepard explains that technology is evil and we must dispose of it. Everybody listens and they all shoot the remaining Reaper technology into the stars. THEN END.

Renegade ending

Despite the huge casualties, we have won the Reaper war. From all galactic species, humanity stands victorious. All other alien races suffered unimaginable losses, some of them are even extinct. Humans gain the new dominance in the galaxy.

The remains of the Reaper ships are being studied. Most of their remains were gathered by humans. We study the technology in many years and then one day, we finally discover the reasons on why the Reapers committed so many genocides. We uncover that their motives were good. Then, surprisingly, we decide to follow their motives as well. Humanity then becomes the next and new generation of Reapers, and the cycle continues.

Then the screen fades to black and a quote from Sovereign appears: “The cycle cannot be broken.”
THE END

I think we're due a plot twist. The Reapers are such an unambiguous "bad guy" that I would not be surprised to find out that they are mere puppets whose strings are being pulled by something that has been hiding in the shadows the whole time.

If it turns out to be the devil, I'm microwaving my copy of the game.

reaper is just big ship we saw in ME 1. in ME 2, harbinger controls everything. it is in part of reaper fleet. so I guess that Shepard will defeat harbinger, then will allow to get its technology with high risk. then shepard (as you would be) will have two choices just like blowing collector base or taking a chance to get collector technology. or just like Liara. she became new shadow broker. since Liara DLC, I can see how the whole story will be ended.

Yeah, after watching Noble 6's ending (back to hating the Covenant...again), not sure I want another sacrificial/martyr ending for a while...well, at least I'd like to have the option to go in another direction anyway...Starting to get way overdone.

Paragon Ending:
Shepard will charm the Reapers by a brutal "Please, leave us alone. We don't have to do this.", making all Reaper fleets disappear and never show up again. Everyone lives happily ever after.

Renegade Ending:
Shepard alone standing and holding an Avenger in preparation for the battle, and after seeing the Reaper fleets, Shepard thinks to self "Maybe I should rethink who I'm a jerk to," before radioing Joker and saying "Joker, go! You have to tell them. You have to... " *CRITICAL MISSION FAILURE*

There will be a panoramic shot of a large fleet fighting reapers. Half way through the fight it cuts to God sitting on a chair. He yawns, gets up, walks over to his bed then turns off lights which also turned off the universe destroying the reapers and everyone else along with it. The End.

Reapers defeated, all their relays and the Citadel destroyed/defunctioned and all species are once again trapped in their homeworlds without a chance to meet others again, but free of the Cycle.

I remember answering a question like this a LOOONNGG time ago.

My paragon femshep defeats reapers and is rewarded/celebration/farewells.(standard bit)

Scene cuts to Shep and Liara(lovers) on the beach having a good time.(in bikinis)

Scene cuts to Normandy, Shep and Liara embracing their new born child. *tender kiss*

*Familiar voice* "Make the call".

Shepard. "I'm on it"

Epic music, roll credits.

It turns out that Ganondorf was getting impatient waiting for the next Zelda game so he decided to hijack mass effect instead.

After beating the Reapers back, Shepard lets the Citadel Relay get opened by the reapers so they could flee only to take an allied fleet and pursue them into dark space.

I'm guessing either way with the choices the Reaper threat will be averted. Just differences depending on choice.

Paragon: Council saved again and they lead the rebuilding of a universe that comes together much stronger than ever before. Cerberus disbanded. Hostilities between Citadel space and Terminus systems ended.

Renegade. Council killed (including if there is a new council from ME1) After battle a Cerberus supporting council is elected and Cerberus thrives. Humans lead and dominate Citadel space and after they regroup lead invasion of the terminus systems.

We'll likely get individual epilogues of individual squad mates too depending on choices you make it'll effect what happens to them.

I want a mystery ending. I want to know that our tale of Shepard is true( maybe having friends tell the story) but have it being told as a tale to a future generation who may or may not believe it really happened. Then have some relic come alive (maybe something that a kid (grand kid) of your Shepard is wearing) so there will be an opening still left for more (single player role playing) Mass Effect Universe games.

The Normandy SR2 crashes into another ship driving through space. Everyone dies.

Or,

As Shepard looks down the barrel of his gun (of your choosing) and one ally by her/his side takes aim as well (the others stood behind to help the other races, and hate you if you said to leave them behind), the Reapers descend upon Earth and the Citadel at the same time. With that, you must choose:

Do you save the Citadel, or Earth (assuming they have approximately the same population)? There is no Paragon or Renegade choice, they are both neutral. What do you do?

I would love a choice like this. One that really makes you think, and doesn't use alignment to ruin it all.

I hope so....Some old super nintendo rpg games and of course Jade Empire has done that. That's a total win situation for the ending.

More of an epilogue than an ending, but here it goes. Shepard walks into TIM's office, stepping over some dead bodies, he sits in TIM's chair, brings up a data screen with something interesting on it, snaps his fingers and one of the Cerberus lackies hands him a drink.

Cut to credits. You win renegade style!
